This site was the first result for my search. The description does not match the reality. The description said it will generate AI clips from my long form content, pasted my content and it just gave me the option to upload a waterfall to their site… terrible scam company once again just details harvesting. Not giving me anything it offered originally

This platform was almost perfect as it was for reviewing video. Now they made a major Update and nothing works the same anymore - everything got more complicated.

- Marking Sections in Videos is hidden (you have to press Shift now...)
- Deleted Files can not be seen in Trashcan or something similar
- Adding Videos to a shared Link is complicated too - you have to drag and drop it, which sounds simple but nowhere to be found till you figure it out..Since when is the plattform becoming a "drag and drop" plattform?

All of this wouldn´t be so bad if they would put together a tutorial or something, but they rather spend their money on fancy 3D animations and "modern" looking UI....

Overall I quit my Subscription and will just move to Dropbox instead...Overall my fault to think adobe would actually care about what their customers want and not what investors expect....

Their platform continually fails playback for all of our clients since Fall 2023 and occasionally in years prior until Mid April 2024. They hide behind some weird chat support, suggest robot like cures, never address customer downtime and its Frame.io server side for sure. We can't do any more testing. It worked then it didn't.

I copy pasted the text below from another person experiencing the same "robbery" as me.

The amount is also slightly different for each person so that your bank account can't notice the duplicate charges and notify you"

It is quite remarkable, I signed up for a Collaboration service, that is made for people to, well... collaborate!
On my end its about sending the directors and producers my work, for them to leave comments on.
Simple as that. nothing fancy.
Upon writing this it is stated on the "Pro subscription" that up to 10 users can be added. There is no where it is stated that it will cost you another 15 USD per person you bring in for commenting on your work.

I urge everyone else here reading this, to check out KLASH instead.

I work on Frame daily and there is not one day that goes by where I don't experience bug issues. Even from the most simple things, like archiving and unarchiving projects. When you contact support about this, they just say their engineers are working on the bug issues and apparently still don't know how to make the site run smoothly after the 3 years i've used it. The support team are also definitely trained just to say they are working on it and not why the issue happens as they continue to avoid that question.

When I clicked on a video link sent by my colleague, it redirected me to another innocent looking welcome page. On that page, they simply said enter your email to get started. Completely nothing about how they're going to charge you USD131 just for viewing the video! After that, they sent an email simply saying you're given access. Again, completely no mention about how they're charging you an exorbitant fee, and certainly not about how you're a collaborator at all.

I keep getting spam after sign up. I unsubscribed about 5 times already. But they just keep sending emails every other day. Really unprofessional and annoying!

Dont even get started with frame.io!!

I got charged for 4 users (500$) without any permission from my side!

Frame IO claims they do this as they are pro-rating each user you add. I can only hope the company and interface are reworked entirely now that Adobe has purchased them. I'd recommend simply uploading to Vimeo to avoid the possible day's time it will take to get a refund do to their purposefully misleading practices. It doesn't have the same functionality but you'll thank me.

Constantly harassed by their team through my work email and LinkedIn. I have tried to ignore their contact but I’m constantly bombarded through multiple forums.

I've been using Frame for a long time, about a year. I find it very accurate for drafts and revisions from clients, who can mange the interface very easily and leaves very little room for error when describing changes. One of the larger benefits is that its a nicer experience for the client to go through the drafts and leave revisions.

I find it's very fast to upload videos on, next to Dropbox which is next to Google Drive ( in my experience ).

But when your running a business and if you have a Dropbox business account; it makes Frame irrelevant, as the playback feature on Dropbox allows you timestamped comments. It grew very quickly to becoming an unnecessary overhead and once you strip away a tad nicer interface than Dropbox Business; its really just an overpriced video playback service with a small amount of storage.

I am based in the UK and started to use frame.io on a free trial to see how it works. But within the "free trial" they charged it. After 3 days of back and forth they issued a refund which was less then the amount I was charged from our bank account.
I thought it's only off by a pound or two so I will leave it.
Funny thing is, after a couple of days they charged us again!
Now I have to chase them up again and probably receive a refund less than what they charged us

It has you sign up for $19/month to use with the promise that people will be able to comment / add stuff to a folder you create.

Anyone you add, even if you add your own email it charges you extra and doesn't notify you.

Not only did it start charging me $57/month against the contract, but it started throwing $10 and $13 charges at random throughout a month. That's $70 in one month, which is around 4x what was sold to me.

Claimed: $19/month. Billed: $67/month.

Frame.io is a really very clever idea, as a company we had previously used it regularly to deliver video content to clients.

For a very long time, the service was excellent and we had no issues. Unfortunately, the pricing became such that we simply had to drop it as a platform.

Many similar platforms have come in since and while Frame.io still has excellent integration into Premiere Pro, the price point just seems a little out of touch with the way mass produced online media is currently distributed.
