It is a low cost course and covers all the material you need to operate a commercial kitchen safely. It probaby took me 5 to 6 hours in total. It feels a bit repetitive at times and goes into alot of detail about legislation which you don't need unless you are going to be a lawyer. I found the test to contain quite a few questions which don't really test the general principles but your ability to remember specific acronyms or terms used (I am sure you never defined S.A.F.E on the course), and some questions on specific things which weren't covered on the course. But on the other hand it is not difficult to pass.

Easy to follow content and comprehensive information. Could do with more video content and also frustrating that you can't see which questions you go wrong once passing the exam. Would be useful to know!

It was very informative and it really helped me understand all the concepts behind food hygiene.

Some of the exam questions did not relate to info on the course. Seems a little unfair.

Easy to dip in and out if you're doing the course for your own leisure. Informative and straight to the point encompassing every section effectively.

It was easy to sign up for, easy to do, cost effective and had variety in content presentation.

The course seems very good at covering food safety and hygiene. It is well laid out, with useful videos and stock photos to break up the text. Some things are obvious, some are not. It says it takes 5.5 hours but I managed it in 2.5 without rushing and with coffee breaks.

It doesn't work on Brave, so I had to use Chrome. As someone else remarked, some of the multiple choice wrong answers are just ridiculous and should be revised to be more credible, as this lowers the value of the qualification.

Unlike every other course I have ever done, there is no material to have for reference in the future unless you were to somehow go back over the course and save every page. This for me is a major problem.

The course is well set out, with clear instructions. It uses a combination of text and short videos. To help with the learning process there are simple tests at the end of each unit.

It's hardly the most rigorous training. Some of the multiple choice answers seem designed to stand out as obviously wrong. For example: "An allergen is..." where a possible answer was "A form of the French verb 'aller!'" Other 'test' questions find the online platform confusing words with numbers. 3 stars is a generous rating.
