We had the pleasure to climb Kilimanjaro with Follow Alice (FA) in September 2021 and the service and trip was above and beyond our expectations. Prior to our trip FA set up several calls to answer our questions and also provided additional help e.g. with Covid testing. The communication wast superb. However the highlight was truly the experienced, friendly staff at FA. As a member of KPAP it was also ensured that the local FA team members were highly motivated and had fun to work there. The entire trip could not have been any better. Special thanks to Tash, William, Tony, Humphrey, Robert, Abdul and all the FA team that we consider now not our tour operators but friends. Highest recommendation!!!

FollowAlice is a highly-professional and well-organised operator. They put together a GREAT 8-day Kilimanjaro climb (Lemosho Route), where everything was taken care of. The guides were impressive, ensuring that we all remained healthy and safe. They fully respect the porters, which is not the case for other companies. It was truly a 'once in a lifetime' experience. The safari was also a dream, covering the Serengeti/Ngorongoro/Tarangire, with flexible and incredibly knowledgable guides. Lastly, the price is also very competitive.

The entire team at Follow Alice did an incredible job for my seven day climb of Kilimanjaro. From the initial conversations with Justin to summiting the mountain with my lead guide, Gerry, and everything in between, the company really went above and beyond. Everyone involved in the trip was knowledgeable, hard working and extremely genuine. All of the gear provided was in perfect condition, meals were plentiful and delicious. Travelling with some of the current restrictions can be challenging, but the company made it easy by providing guidance on various policies in country, arranging PCR tests and so much more. I will cherish the memories I gained over my trip for the rest of my life. I would highly recommend anyone considering a Kilimanjaro climb to reach out to the team at Follow Alice!

Follow Alice did a great job of organizing and executing my trip to Uganda. Tash was a pleasure to work with when organizing the trip. While in Uganda I could not have asked for anything more from Dan; it was like traveling with an old friend. A fantastic job by both.

My trip to Uganda was a last minute decision. I spent a few days researching Uganda before sending Tash a list of activities I would like to do if I were to visit Uganda. Not two days later I had a beautifully constructed itinerary in my hands custom tailored to my requests. Tash and I spent a couple of weeks massaging out the details before coming to a final itinerary. Tash was easy and enjoyable to work with, a pleasure all around.

I arrived in Uganda and was met at the Airport by the Follow Alice team and taken to my hotel. It felt so good after traveling for 30 hours to have someone there waiting for me when I arrived.

The rest of the trip was like nothing I had experienced before. Dan drove us around the country in his 1995 Toyota Land Cruiser for two weeks. We 'popped the top' on his Land Cruiser during the Game Drives and found all the critters you could hope to while on Safari.

Dan shares my passion for charity so when I asked to visit an Orphanage, he was able to make it happen. When I asked to visit Tusafishe, a charity that installs water purification systems throughout Uganda, he made it happen. Traveling in a small private group gave me the opportunity to meet and interact with locals all along the way rather than just the hotel staff.

In hindsight, if I had to do it over again, I would double up on the Gorilla Trekking. I understand that it's expensive, but I think it would have been worth it to spend a second day doing this as I was already there. Either way, it really was a truly amazing experience.

Our trip to Uganda was perfect for me. The organization before and during the trip was excellent. A special highlight of our trip was our guide Dan. It is extremely important to him to get the best out of the trip for the customer and the time with him felt like being with a long-time friend and not "just" with a guide.
It was all excellent and I would recommend a trip to Uganda with Follow Alice and Dan to anyone.

In June 2021, my friends and I visited Tanzania and Follow Alice organized our trip which consisted of a 4-day stay in Zanzibar, 9-day climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro and a 5-day safari.

Mt. Kilimanjaro - We chose the northern circuit route-9 days. What an amazing crew. Our guides Chris and Francis, were very knowledgeable, caring, encouraging and supportive. They also made me feel safe the entire time. Together with the entire crew (porters, etc.), all went above and beyond to ensure we would successfully reach the summit of Kilimanjaro. Thank you to our cook, Peter- food was delicious everyday. Rama, thank you for your kindness, attention, patience (always smiling) making sure we ate and had our packs ready with water for the day. A big THANK YOU to the Porters - an amazing, outstanding group - so encouraging, positive attitude and helpful the entire time. All of you do a superb job and I am sincerely grateful.
After Kilimanjaro, my friends and I, did a 5-day Safari. We got to see the Big 5, visiting 4 different parks and what a wonderful adventure it was. Amazing wildlife! Nestory, our guide was very knowledgeable, friendly and also an excellent driver. Calvin, our cook, prepared some delicious food. Prior to Kilimanjaro, we had a 4-day stay in Zanzibar, such a relaxing and enjoyable place.

In June 2021, my friends and I were blessed to make our dream trip to TZ, covering Zanzibar, Kilimanjaro hike and Safari experience. Kilimanjaro summit was the BIG focus.

Why Follow Alice (FA)? They had stellar reviews, comprehensive you-tube Mt Kili climb information and 95% client summit success rate. As soon as the decision was made, Tash (from FA) provided us with all information needed, checking off list of items for our adventure. She was always available and prompt with responses.

Mt Kili. We chose the Northern circuit route, 9 days. We had Chris (climbed >300x) as the guide and his experienced, caring and wonderful team. He ensured our security and health were never compromised, i.e. campsite security, daily (and throughout the day) altitude sickness symptom check-off, daily dress code...every detail covered. He knows when to take the packs off your back, layers of clothing possibly limiting physical function for each climber. The food was great... we always looked forward to the soup of the day. They know what to feed you for a successful climb. They feed you with encouraging words as well throughout the climb. The porters were very friendly and with great attitude. I remember Trevor (porter) with his music, even had some country music for a moment there.

They found out about my birthday, it was day 7 of the climb. Chris organized a brief, but very memorable bday celebration with cake and porters singing. This will forever be etched in my memory. Deep gratitude for the very sweet thought.

Chris and team, deep gratitude for helping me summit Uhuru peak. It was an adventure of a lifetime. I was in great hands from day 1-9. I thank God we chose FA.

Accommodations arranged pre and post climb were wonderful. Zanzibar accommodation was great...right at the beach, beautiful sunsets. Safari..we saw the big 5, another great adventure with Nestory (eagle eye) as the guide.

We had the pleasure of visiting Tanzania with Follow Alice in June of 2021. We started with a 4-day stay in Zanzibar, Followed by 9-day climb of Mt Kilimajaro and then a 5-day safari trip to 4 different parks. All transportation to and from the airports we flew in and out of was arranged by them. Less stress when traveling in a foreign place is much appreciated.

We chose them for our Tanzanian experience after looking at several different companies, YouTube reviews, and videos that were watched. We could not be more delighted with our choice.

Follow Alice staff are professional, kind, helpful, caring, and go out of their way to make your trip an unforgettable experience. Tash King our Trip Manager was amazing. Our guides on the mountain Chris and Francis and the team - Rama, Peter our amazing cook - your food will be missed, Trevor my personal porter to help with my gear and indeed all the porters you all did an outstanding job. To the 3 of us that were climbing plus 1 (who joined our group - Finn glad to have met you) - what can we say we were cared for, looked after, spoilt, and helped along the way when days were long and terrain/obstacles tough to overcome. Laughter was shared, views were enjoyed and happiness abounded when reaching Uhuru peak.

You helped make our dream come true, Bucket List accomplished.

Our 5 day safari was just as adventurous and our guide - Nestory was great - amazing driver, eagle eyes in the bush, our cook - Calvin - we loved your food. We got to see the Big 5 visiting 4 different parks - Tarangire, Lake Mayara, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Conservation Area - animals aplenty, and what a pleasure to see them free and roaming mother earth in all their natural splendor.

What can we say - a trip of a lifetime, one never to be forgotten and if possible to be repeated in some other African country and indeed back to Tanzania for there is still much to be seen.

Absolutely incredible trip to Uganda which ranks among the top destinations I have visited. The nature is fit for a movie (in fact Black Panther was filmed at Lake Bunyoni) and the diverse wildlife offers unparalleled experiences with gorilla trekking being the crown jewel of the trip. The local community was extremely welcoming and well-versed in English making communication easy. Finally, a special shout-out to Follow Alice and the team on the ground for the trip (“Dan the man” & Ibrah). Impeccable logistics and guidance throughout the trip, which was a must given our tight schedule. If you like adventure, there should be absolutely no hesitation to Follow Alice down this rabbit hole!

I went to Uganda in March with FollowAlice and had an unbelivable experience!!
I went for 10days with some good friends and with our amazing guide Dan the man also called UganDan.
They set up an amazing itinerary for us which allowed us to explore the most beautiful places and activities in Uganda. The highlight of the trip was of course, gorilla trekking where we were able to see them pretty near and how they live in the nature. Also the safari and boat safari was unbelivable as we were able to spot four of the five Big Fives.

Once again I would recomend this trip to everyone who has gorilla trekking on their bucket list to book the trip with FollowAlice including Dan the man.

Absolutely amazing ! We traveled from Kampala to Lake Bunyonyi, going through Murchison Falls, Kibale, Fort Portal, Queen Elizabeth and Mburo for two nearly two weeks. We did Safari, Gorilla and Chimpanze trekking, hikes, saw a vanilla farm (even though they don't even really do tours where we went ^^), ate lots of food and stayed in wonderful lodges. The Follow Alice team really helped craft the trip (thanks Tash !!) and hit the sweet spot between authenticity and safety (for our stomachs ^^).
Uganda is such an diverse country. There's every landscape - from lush forests and green savannah to dry grounds and dusty roads. I'd really recommend to go do Safaris in Murchisson Falls. Go Chimpanze trekking in Kibale (it's so amazing). And chill at Lake Bunyonyi because that place is so special, it doesn't even look like it's real when you're there. Of course Gorilla trekking was a unique experience, but to me it actually didn't end up being the best part of the trip !
The people are so nice, and we really went during a particularly difficult time for them so their generosity and smiles were even more precious. I loved that we went walking through the communities when we were at the Baboon Resort Lodge in Queen Elizabeth.
It was my first time traveling in Africa - I didn't choose like, the easiest time with that being during Covid and election time in Uganda haha. So that was quite the packed adventure - but our guides Dan, Ibrah and Umaya made us feel safe every step of the way. Trust Dan to defend your best interest everywhere he goes, often with hilarious results. I would also recommend to listen very well to their advice concerning the time you should leave for Safari or get places in the morning, even if it's super early because 15 minutes can make ALL the difference when it comes to seeing the animals.

I went to Uganda with Follow Alice and had an unforgettable experience. Definitely on top of the list, in terms of best trips ever!!! The team put together an incredible itinerary that allowed us to explore various parts of this beautiful country, also called the Pearl of Africa. Every detail was covered allowing us to just sit back and enjoy. The highlight of the trip was of course, gorilla trekking... from hiking through the jungle to spending some time with the mountain gorillas, up close and personal... this was a pinch me experience!

A special mention to our guide UganDan who was incredibly knowledgeable, friendly and fun. He went above and beyond to ensure that we could have an amazing trip. He was solutions driven and very flexible with any changes we wanted to make to the itinerary. Really one of the best guides I’ve ever come across.

Before climbing Kilimanjaro with Follow Alice, I had the opportunity to go on safari through Follow Alice as well and the experience was beyond anything I could have imagined so I figured it needed it's own review.

The safari was in 3 parks over 4 days, and I thought it would be incredible just viewing the scenery but the real gift was our guide and the knowledge and stories he shared along the way. Kazi was able to name any bird I'd amateurly point out, he consistently shared information around plant life or facts about the animals we were seeing. It was the best experience to be in the car learning from Kazi, and then to top it all off we saw every animal you could imagine seeing in these parks.

I cannot say enough great things about the safari experience, and have already talked to friends and family about going just for the safari. Thanks to Kazi and Follow Alice for a safari or "journey" of my dreams!

My thoughts exactly from what has already been said below about Follow Alice.  An incredible team and an incredible experience. The most professional tour operator I have ever met. I cannot fault them at all. They literally saved my life on Mount Kilimanjaro (but that's another story).

From the guys on the ground to the staff behind the scenes everyone made you feel comfortable, answered all your questions, and well and truly looked out for your personal safety.

I cannot thank the Follow Alice team enough for how they handled the whole expedition (and my mountain incident) from start to finish. I highly recommend them and would definitely travel with them again.

Also, a big shout out to Dan the Man (aka UganDan - Follow Alice Uganda Local Leader) who looked after me while travelling throughout Uganda and made sure I had the best possible care in the short time we had together. I highly recommend him!

I am lucky enough to have visited Tanzania in February 2021 and after research decided to use Follow Alice because of the outstanding reviews. I'm happy to report that even the most positive reviews don't do this group justice. From the very beginning Tash from the Follow Alice team made our experience as easy as possible - she was incredibly communicative and even proactively reached out to me as the travel requirements in and out of the US changed due to Covid.

Once we got to TZ, we spent the first 4 days on safari with our incredible guide Kazi. WOW, what an experience! Not only did we see every animal we could have ever wished to see (lions, cheetahs, rhinos, a jaguar, etc) but Kazi was incredibly knowledgeable about everything from the largest of animals to birds to insects in Tanzanias national parks. Not to mention, he's hilarious! The safari was truly 4 days of amazing scenery, close-up animal experiences and non-stop laughter. If you are considering going on a safari while in TZ you could not ask for a better team than Follow Alice and Kazi!

We spent the next week climbing Killimanjaro's Lemosho route and what an adventure it was!! Truly by the end of the trip every single guide and porter felt like family - I will forever remember how kind, thoughtful and fun loving the entire crew was. Robert, Jerry and Alex were our guides and each of them was knowledgeable about the mountain, our health and what to expect over coming days. Additionally, they were all a pleasure to spend time with - our climb was filled with tons of laugher, singing and joking around!! Also, the tent set up was comfortable and very clean and the food was delicious, thanks to our chef and kitchen crew (special shout out to Rajab and Rama!).

I'll also mention, I had the unfortunate experience of getting quite sick on the mountain and Jerry, Alex and Rama took care of me through the entire ordeal - checking in on me constantly, bringing me ginger tea and eventually, Alex, carrying my backpack down the mountain so I could get down safely. For an unfortunate situation, they made sure I felt safe, got back to health quickly and still had an incredibly positive experience.

I truly cannot say enough positive things about this team - I will absolutely be traveling again with Travel Alice and *hopefully* the team in Tanzania!!

Absolutely incredible experience climbing Mount Kilimanjaro and taking a safari through Tanzania’s national parks with the guidance and help from Follow Alice. For Kilimanjaro, one thing that struck me was how kind, knowledgeable, hard working, giving and respectable the team was. Every single person I met had the hugest heart and we had the best time bonding and sharing laughs (shoutout to Rama and many more ❤️). You can tell by the leadership of Chris and his guides Jerry, Robert, and Alex that they truly care for their team and lead by example with integrity. I seriously can’t stress enough how much the Follow Alice team meant to me and our friends who climbed the mountain. On a smaller/side note, I am gluten free and dairy free and every step of the way, the Follow Alice team provided me with delicious food that was GF/DF which I know couldn’t have been easy! Overall, the team did everything in their power to safely guide us up the mountain and I’m eternally grateful to them. In addition to Kilimanajro, we did a 4 day safari with our Follow Alice guide Kazi, an absolutely incredible man with endless knowledge to share regarding the wild life in Tanzania. I’ll cherish the memories o had with Follow Alice for the rest of my life! You’d be doing yourself a disservice not to book with Follow Alice!

I selected Follow Alice for my Tanzania adventure based on the stellar reviews they've received - I am thrilled to add one more stellar review to their profile. I could not have asked for a better two weeks in Tanzania. The four-day safari was perfect - Kazi, our guide and driver, is a master at his craft. He was able to spot a huge variety of animals for us, including the Big Five. He's so skilled that he would often provide guidance to the other guides. He kept his ears open and secured some incredible photography opportunities, including a leopard on a tree and a pride of lions on a boulder. He answered every question and indulged every request. I feel as though we parted as friends. The trek up Kilimanjaro was life-changing - the guides, Jerry, Alex, and Robert, were like father figures, protecting us, teaching us, and leading us. I trusted them all, and the whole team, totally. We hiked with Jerry the most, and he truly was the gravitational center that kept the whole operation intact. I can tell he is a kind and gentle soul. Alex brought good laughs, and became a friend during the trek. The whole team provided a great community during the hard days - it rained every day we were on the mountain, but the friendliness, positivity, good humor, and empathy to my group's emotional journey made the climb a success. Special shout-out to Rama, the waiter, and all morning wake-ups with tea and coffee, and the delicious soups and snacks from Rajab, the cook, he would serve in the dining tent. On a more serious note, the team had to deal with a very serious medical situation while on the climb, something I have read doing research is an extremely rare event; nonetheless, any climb of this magnitude carries risks, and Robert and his Follow Alice team, I can confidently say, saved a man's life. The hardships, the obstacles, the emotional ups and downs - it made the sunrise at the summit with this wonderful group of people all the more magical.

I was very privileged to be able to make a trip to Tanzania with Follow Alice in October 2020, despite all the travel restrictions in place at that time. In contrast with much of the rest of the world, the situation in Tanzania seemed very normal and under control, which made the trip even more special. Thanks very much to Tash for making the arrangements and all the time explaining everything before the trip.
I started my trip with an incredible safari to Tarangire, Serengeti and Ngorongoro Crater. My guide Kazi was very skilled in spotting wildlife and we had some amazing sightings. One of many highlights must be seeing the wildebeest and zebra migrating across the Mara River.
Then I made an ascent of Kilimanjaro following the Northern Circuit Route. Taking a longer route allows more opportunity to acclimatise to the altitude, as well as seeing the mountain from all angles. Reaching the summit was an unforgettable experience, and thanks to guides James and Robert and all the rest of the crew for helping to make it happen.
The service from everyone at Follow Alice was excellent and this must rate as one of the best trips I have ever done! I hope to be able to return to Tanzania soon!
