A good translation in a pretty book. Very nice artwork inside the book and on the slipcase and printed in a very easily readable font on smooth premium paper. Just sad that it is bound in paper and that the extensive and very helpful notes by the translator are not included, but that is also somewhat understandable. At least the paper binding is not easily damaged. Worth it if you really like Dante, Neil Packer's art and the translation by Kirkpatrick, but you should also get your hands on his useful notes on the text.

As a bibliophile, I thoroughly respect and appreciate the quality of the Folio Society books. They’re incredibly well-made and a good value for purchase price.

This book is a work of art. Beautiful to hold in your hand. Easy to read. This is what makes hard bound books the superior reading experience.

The illustration is beautifully and intelligently executed; the font is perfectly apposite; the quality and texture of the paper exquisite. A superb anniversary edition.

Cannot review as it was a gift for someone else

Bought this for the beautiful, intricate artwork by Neil Packer and was not disappointed! Knocked a star off as the fact it is paper-bound leaves it rather more fragile than its clothbound peers, which is a little disappointing, but Folio Society were very good to replace a damaged first copy at no extra cost.

I missed the limited edition ,but this one has much of the same feel and the same artwork . It’s gorgeously housed in a beautiful slipcase So the money I saved allowed me to acquire the Shakespeare set!
