Extremely poor and stressful experience – unauthorised rebooking and misinformation
I had a confirmed booking with Porter Airlines (booking reference RFLQPE) from Toronto to Ottawa on 26 January, departing at 23:30. I paid extra for a Prime Seat. While already travelling internationally from London to Canada, I discovered that Porter had rebooked me—without my knowledge or consent—onto an earlier flight departing at 17:00, which I physically could not take as my transatlantic flight was scheduled to land at 20:15.
I attempted to contact Porter immediately, but the waiting time exceeded 25 minutes. I had to abandon the call after 22 minutes as I was boarding my long-haul flight. I was left with no assistance while in transit.
Because I needed to be in Ottawa the following morning, I was forced to purchase a last-minute replacement ticket with another airline at significant cost. Later, while waiting to board that flight, I discovered that my original Porter flight had not been cancelled at all, only delayed by about 20 minutes — and that my seat had been given to another passenger.
This experience caused extreme stress and unnecessary expense. Unauthorised rebooking, lack of communication, and providing misleading information to a passenger already en route internationally is unacceptable. I would strongly advise others to think carefully before relying on this airline for time-sensitive travel.

I was supposed to travel to domantic flight in the country and they didnt give me my boarding pass even after requesting for an hour or more. The reason the told was wrong information on the boarding pass which was their mistake themselves and they refused to let me go, they did not compensate any money and offer any flights to me, refused to correct my information and also told me to get a new ticket which was thrice the price of ticket i bought. Never gonna get back to this airlines.
Awful customer service and terrible luggage handling with no accountability…
Awful customer service and terrible handling of paying customers luggage. My luggage was returned filthy and the customer service representative Max Power gaslights me and tells me my baggage is overpacked and they do not assume liability for “nicks” and “scruffs” my baggage is stained.
Extremely Disappointed with Porter Airlines
I am very disappointed with how Porter Airlines handled my upcoming flight from Miami International Airport to Toronto on March 4th. I received an email informing me that my flight had been rescheduled to March 5th — a full day later. Since the change was more than three hours, I was given the option to change or cancel my booking. I chose to cancel, as the new schedule no longer worked for me.
However, after cancelling, Porter refused to refund my money and insisted that I would only receive a credit. When I called to request a proper refund, I was told that because I didn’t purchase extra protection, I wasn’t eligible — even though the cancellation was due to their schedule change, not mine. I had to argue just to make it clear that this situation was entirely their fault.
This experience has been incredibly frustrating and unprofessional. I made it clear to them that I will never use their services again. A customer should not be penalised for an airline’s inability to honour its original schedule.
Made a reservation Ottawa to Orlando…
Made a reservation Ottawa to Orlando return and they tried to arbitrarily change the return flight to include a stop over in Toronto. The reservation did not even mention that the ticket had gone from a “direct flight” to a “stop over”. I am skeptical about what they are up to and whether to proceed with the reservation.

We flew from PBI to Toronto on January 12th 2026 , at 8pm . From checking in at the airport until we landed at Pearson airport , the service by the employees was such a positive experience . The staff at the airport & on the aeroplane were pleasant , courteous , polite , efficient & knowledgeable . Their calm , warm & welcoming personalities made us feel relaxed
& confident that we were in “good hands”. The flight left on time , arrived in TO on schedule . I look forward to travelling on Porter airlines soon . Thanks for the 2 seats instead of the usual crammed 3. Keep up

Delayed, delayed and cancelled, customer service phone number wouldn't work, refused to book me on a flight where there was space but booked me on one 2 days later that was not direct and took 9hrs to do what should have been a 3 hour flight. Didn't cancel their booking when I told them. Some how changed the new reservation I made into one for AN INFANT that wouldn't let me choose a seat. Claimed everything was delayed in both directions because of maintenance. I had to make 4 separate trips to the airport to leave. They offered me a $75 voucher.
Disappointed with this airline
It was my first experience flying with Porter, and unfortunately it did not meet my expectations. I understand that the beginning of the year can be a very busy travel period due to increased holiday traffic. However, my flight departed two hours later than scheduled, and once onboard, we experienced an additional delay of nearly two hours before service began. While the staff was very friendly and courteous, the delays caused significant inconvenience for passengers, and there was no compensation or refund offered for the ticket.
No respect for people's time
We've been sitting on the run way for over 20 minutes. We were supposed to be in Ottawa and out for 10:30 it is now 11:21 as of writing this. That's almost an hour later than the time given.
We're told "shortage of ground crew" is to blame for both the late take off and for us just sitting here for a long time.
No updates or notice of these delays and my arranged ride from the airport couldn't wait any longer and was irate I had not notified them of any delay that I had no notice of.
Porter obviously doesn't respect people's time.
Do not fly Porter. Worst airline in Canada

Service staff used to have the best customer service. Now they could not care of they help you or not.
Lose you luggage? Every second flight and you don’t know till after an hour wait because the baggage handlers are so slow. WORST AIRLINE IN CANADA. use Air Canada or Westjet

I flew with porter to st.johns for Christmas flight was delayed 4 hrs then we checked in for flight every one was ready to board then flight was cancelled. They rescheduled me and my girlfriend on separate flights 11 days and 13 days out on different flights with layovers when our original flights were direct. Wait times for help on the phone 15 + hours no one at the airports to help. God awful experience 10/10 would not recommend I wouldn’t fly with them if it was free.

Would give zero stars. Flights are often delayed multiple times and then cancelled. Weather is fine and they blame it on delays and unexpected maintenance. Do not trust this airline if u need to be somewhere on time.
This past trip, my flight was delayed twice, then cancelled to the next day. Next day comes and delayed and cancelled again for issues that were under their control. I’ve heard from others that they’ll do this if the flight isn’t full enough, they’ll just keep rescheduling till the plane is full. I ended up having to take a bus from Sudbury to Toronto because I had to get home and lost trust that they wouldn’t cancel a third time. 2 full days wasted because of their incompetence and will never fly with them again.
Refused boarding
Unfortunately the airline refused me permission to board. My ticket said "Ben" and my passport says "Benjamin". I rang up Porter who said it was too late to change the ticket.
The next day I tried to ring them to change the name for the inbound flight but was put on a queue for such a long time I had to abandon this.
This resulted in me having to pay for a second ticket both outbound and inbound at a total cost of £472.63.
Having to pay over £450 because of Porter's inflexibility is a real kick in the teeth.
Worst airline
Extremely disappointed with Porter Airlines. Our flight was delayed twice on New Year’s, which ruined our plans and caused a lot of unnecessary stress. Delays can happen, but better communication and handling would have helped. Worst experience with them so far.
Unreliable
Constant delays without reason, unreliable staff and ridiculous rules. Do not recommend. The company started out well years ago and have slid to the bottom of the barrel. Took 90 min to get bags. Never again with Porter.

I recently flew with Porter Airlines. During the flight, the plastic panel around my window was loose and kept making a loud vibrating noise. It was scary and uncomfortable because it felt like something was wrong with the window.
I understand that sometimes the inside panel is not structural, but it still needs to be secure. This really affected my experience. I hope the airline checks and fixes this so other passengers don’t feel worried in the future.
Absolutely pure mental anguish
Absolutely pure mental suffering and pain endured over the holidays thanks to porter not wanting to pay people to work And my flight along with many other were repeatedly cancelled. This is like nothing I’ve experienced it’s pure and utter stupidity on their part.
I will never fly porter again unless I want to inflict mental pain upon myself.

Porter is the Worst airline to fly…
Porter is the Worst airline to fly with. Absolutely no customer service. The staff was extremely rude and made zero effort to help. My flight was cancelled due to controllable reasons, and I was rebooked on a flight two days later. I had to wait in line for 3 hours just to receive a hotel and food voucher.
When I arrived at the hotel provided by the airline, the hotel staff told me they were already fully booked and had informed the airline about this four hours earlier. I then spent another 3 hours trying to find a room. On top of that, the voucher I was given was valid for only one night, even though the delay was longer.
I had to return to the airport to get a new voucher and was forced to stand in another long line. When I explained my situation to the attendant, they were incredibly rude and dismissive, saying, “It’s a new day, it happened last night, we don’t care—you have to wait in line again even if it’s our mistake.”
Very disappointing experience. Poor communication, poor planning, and no accountability.
