During the current Middle East crisis we decided to explore alternative options to our already booked tickets through Abu Dhabi. Olivia was outstanding in exploring the varied options that suited our requirements and explaining the different possibilities.
I couldn't fault her dedication and commitment to the job. Even though we did not go ahead with booking a "get-out" second option, it will certainly make me more likely to use Flight Centre in future rather than "winging" it on my own!

My son and I made a booking via Rob at Flight Centre Bayside. It was a long overseas trip that involved many things including the need for accessibility support at each airport we attended. I cannot praise Rob enough. Not only did he assist us to plan a fantastic holiday, he offered a lot of insight from his travels and he is so knowledgeable of various places around the world. Rob offered a few suggestions that were great additions to our trip which I would never have thought of. Not only was Rob great to work with and professional when planning our trip, but he was also very friendly and also empathetic to my health needs for the trip. My son was so impressed by him that he and his mates planned further OS travels with Rob! Thank you Rob for assisting us to plan the trip of a lifetime!!!

Rob Di Benedetto has been the best travel agent I could have ever asked for! After I decided to stop my chemo treatment for stage 4 Ovarian Cancer I accessed my super and decided that I was going to take my 23 year old son to Kenya where I have wanted to go since I was seven Rob spent hours going over different tour options and we settled on one with Intrepid that enabled me to spend my 46th birthday in Maasai Mara! How perfect is that!? He coordinated with Intrepid to ensure that they were aware of my health issues and restrictions and how important this trip was to me as we only booked 2-3 weeks before departure so that they would ensure that there was space for us. Originally the tour was Kenya, Tanzania and Zanzibar, but then civil unrest broke out in Tanzania after their general elections and Inrepid made the decision to keep that whole trip in Kenya instead. This suited me perfectly as that was exactly where I wanted to go anyway. Rob then spent 2-3 hours with my son and I rearranging flights, booking extra days in Dubai for after Kenya and then he remembered that I love elephants so he booked us extra nights in Nairobi so we could go to the Giraffe Centre to feed and interact with Giraffes and then the David Sheldrick Elephant Orphanage so we could interact with elephants - baby elephants! I even managed to touch one! That is great personal service. After that excruciatingly long flight that we did in Premium Economy I came to the conclusion that I was not going to be able to do that coming home. Given the 8 hour time difference I emailed Rob about upgrading our flights home to business class which he arranged quickly and efficiently over email and sent me a payment link to complete the transaction so I didn't have to stress about it. Unfortunately my cancer didn't play nice whilst we were there, so I made the agonising decision to not go to Dubai and come home early. I had done everything I wanted to do in Kenya anyway, and Dubai was just a bonus that was just not meant to be. Again it was an email to Rob and advising him I was really unwell and needed to get home asap. He swiftly changed my flights and began the process of trying to get me some refunds. Gotta love the sms payment link that makes this so simple and easy to do. So we made it home in the early hours of Thursday 20th November and I spent a day in my bed before I went into the hospital for 7 days on Friday. Rob called me on that day to check in and update on where we were with refunds and what he needed to try and get a refund from our Dubai hotel as they were currently saying no. He was very concerned that I was in the hospital and really cheered me up with his compassion and care. I got out of the hospital on Friday 28th and went to see him to give him my medical certificate and to change my currency over. I was greeted with big hugs and his beautiful smile that really made my day. I know he will now work his magic and sweet talk the Dubai hotel to be compassionate and come to the party. Well here's hoping anyway! Rob went over and above to make this trip extraordinary and as painless as possible and I will be forever grateful. When you are planning your next holiday I highly recommend that you go and see Rob Di Benedetto at Flight Centre Bayside because he is the absolute best! Plus he gives great hugs - but maybe that's just for me! A thousand stars and smiley faces for Rob!
