Good communication, all on time, good work

My experience at Ashfield Motors Elgin was one of efficiency and good service. A courtesy car in immaculate condition was provided. When my vehicle was in the workshop I received regular progress reports regarding the repair. On completion of this work I was pleased to see that the repair was perfect with no evidence at all of an accident. When I picked up my vehicle I noted that it had been washed and cleaned. Overall it was an efficient and pleasant experience with helpful staff.

Repairs good but correspondence with updates when they say they will poor

The whole experience dealing with Ashgrove was first class. Fantastic helpful people. The car damage was extensive when it went in for repair, it came out looking like a new car.

Horrendous experience. They removed my bumper to fit a new headlight. They needed to disconnect the parking sensors at the front in order to get the bumper off. When I collected the car all the audio alarms were going off along with large visual message on the screen advising park sensors not working. So they knew! I returned Immediately to be told I needed to wait 4 weeks before they would look at their own mistake! I'd already waited 3 months to get the repair done. No one in Elgin that I tell this story to can believe they didn't offer to fix their screw up within a few days. You guessed it...they'd left it unplugged. It took a mechanic less than 10 mins to fix it. Have they offered to pay that bill for me? No way. Refused.
Lesson is..if they screw it up for you..you just suck it up and sit and wait until they are good and ready. Don't expect ANY favours.

Demi at front desk was very pleasant polite and chatted away with me, felt at ease, car was fixed in 3 days which I thought was quick and quite apprehensive about how quick it was done but it was perfect and cleaned and washed, fantastic experience from start to finish. Thank you so much

Car looks brand new. New bumper, headlight and few surrounding plastics all restored to Brand NEW parts. Cars looking a lot shinier too so think they might have polished it too. 9:10 review for me, be a 10/10 if didint take 2 weeks but besides that I’m very very impressed

In reply to your comments about my review. Here are some facts. The roof was not broken but the glass chipped/cracked but intact. How an external chip in the glass can damage an interior blind i can't see, but I'm not a motor engineer . The issue with the spares was we were told that the spares were in but when we phoned later in the week we were told you were still waiting on them. Your reply intimates that you got in contact with us that was not the case. In response to the state of the car when we picked it up, the car was blocked in and covered in frost so we had to wait in freezing temp until the car was cleared by that time we just wanted to be away. We have emailed the garage offering to supply pictures or discuss this. Finally the parcel shelf you stated had been delivered to us so we phoned the garage this morning 23/1/24 to be told that it was still there and would be delivered tonight. So what you stated was untrue.
Perhaps if you checked the customers facts instead of being so arrogant as to inferring that Im telling lies this could have been avoided.

The garage were great with communication with updates once they had the vehicle. Work they done on the car was excellent.

Outstanding communication, matched by first class workmanship. Although it took over 2 weeks to repair and 3 months from initial booking it was worth the wait, excellent job.

Kept me up to date, friendly, helpful with queries

The staff were polite and helpful. Very happy with the repair.

First off we were given a courtesy car which broke down after 3 days on phoning Ashgrove they said it was our responsibility to get the car back to them we live in the country it broke down in Tesco car park a friend whose a mechanic came out and looked at the car they said the engine had overheated as there was no coolant in the system and brake fluid was below the minimum I phoned Ashgrove back and told them this and their car was in Tesco car park for them to fix
Next day they actually phoned me as another customer has said communication is almost none existent they would send out a mechanic to look at it I told the mechanic not to bother bringing it back we were not offered a replacement vehicle despite there being no transport where we lived
When we finally got the car back we had to take it back next day as there were 2 faults which they fixed
While waiting for the faults to be fixed we spoke to two other customers who were also back with complaints
I wouldn’t recommend this company

3 months wait to get done, fair enough highly respected garage,, it's the lack of communications not really annoyed me. Was informed when dropped the car off it would take a week to be done week, later no car no communications. I had to phone them and ask why there was a delay, was told on parts and was told another week fiair enough and other week went by still no communications from them so phone them again and was told the part should be coming in that week and should be done and I was told it was the Toyota badge they were waiting for upon picking the car up on Friday the 21st I noticed that the wing mirror had not been painted and so I had to leave the window cover with them and it was to be painted that day and I could bring the car back on Monday fair enough I can without the car mirror cover for the weekend got home to check the car over and noticed there was something sticking out of the repaired side, the bracket, and there was a slight gap where they shouldn't have been so on the Monday I took it back and pointed this out only to find out that they hadn't painted the mirror and that they had to do that day so another two hours or so went by and finally got the car back they did a good job after all the hassle, my main problem with them was the lack of communication and no vehicle inspection it seems or the problem that I found upon returning an inspecting my vehicle at home would have been picked up on a more positive note they did remove some slight scratches with the buffer for me which I thought was really nice of them it's such a shame because they're such a lovely group of people but my experience with them has not been a positive one I do wish the company all the best for the future but upon this occasion they did let this particular customer down a bit

A super repair done and I got the car back clean and tidy. The time waiting for parts was quite some time but we'll worth it in the end.
