Regret doing this course
Regret doing this course, and doing it face to face. An expensive mistake. It was not enjoyable and we learnt so little. Poor value for money. Could not recommend this to family or friends. Feel ill equiped to use the certificate. Classes were chaotic at times, stressful, confusing and it quickly became apparent that processing students is the aim…a tick the box exercise to pump students through. A very disappointing learning experience. Sincerely wish I hadn’t done it.

Making more clear about the content expected for online students
I enrolled for Cert III and IV for an online course. I spent a long time on the phone with Nicky (I think was her name) trying to decide if online would still be doable since I work and have 2 little kids (back in 2023, they were under 4). Decided to go with online one because it sounded quite manageable. Found later it was quite challenging since the course (both) requires a big load of videos, find people who wants to participate, etc. Maybe I was naive but I was very suprised with the amount of videos and specifics for each task, I do understand that it'sprobably the best way for online students, but it'sdefinitely something that I would had appreciated if it was clear, so I could make the decision informed. On the other hand, the on-campus support was fabulous. Really learnt a lot from Timothy, as he was always open to bring discussion and making us think critically, which I appreciated so much. Really struggled after he left. Overall, course is good. Maybe in the future, the marketing guys could also mention a bit the amount of load for future online students, so they can make the decision having that information in mind so they can plan ahead better than I did.

I recently completed my Cert III & IV…
I recently completed my Cert III & IV in Fitness. I loved Cert lll, loved the teachers and support. The courses allowed me to study flexibly and ultimately helped me achieve my qualification, which I’m grateful for.
However, I found the level of support throughout the Cert lV to be quite limited at times, and the marking, feedback & relationships could feel inconsistent and cold. There were a few instances where communication, marking or expectations around assessments were unclear.
In the end, I was able to complete the course and gain my qualification, but I do think improvements could be made in communication and student support.

I studied part time at FIT College in…
I studied part time at FIT College in Hindmarsh(before shutting down)/Glenelg in Adelaide. Despite moving locations everything transitioned smoothing and didn't impact learning at all. The content was a good mix of theory and practical work, with plently of time being spent on the gym floor practicing. Getting a job through this course was extremely easy, as i was able to get into contact with goodlife PTMs through meeting them in-club while learning at the goodlife Glenelg location. Overall, would highly recommend for anyone looking for an efficient and effective way to become a PT!
