I genuinely feel like I have to share my experience with Ripley because my mortgage journey was definitely not a straightforward one.

I only decided a few weeks ago that I wanted to try buying my first home. I hadn’t been planning it for years, and although I had some savings, my situation was more complicated because of my visa duration and the deposit I had available.

I spoke to quite a few mortgage advisers before Ripley, and most of them either couldn’t help, gave up on my case, or told me I would need a 15% deposit with a higher interest rate. So I was already starting to think it probably wasn’t going to happen.

Even with Ripley, we almost missed our first two appointments because our schedules simply didn’t match. My job is very time-demanding, and realistically, I just couldn’t manage regular scheduled meetings.

But this is actually what impressed me most about Ripley.

One day, without even having a scheduled appointment, we happened to speak over the phone. We only had a few minutes, but instead of just saying, “Let’s arrange another appointment,” he took the opportunity to talk through my situation and encouraged me to give it another try.
