the WORST! Please learn from my mistake!
can I give negative stars? If so, this truly unethical company would get -10 stars. they are a horrible company. Overcharged us and broke contract, very unprofessional movers that strongly hinted that they need to be fed. We went to the local pizza place and spent $50 and they STILL held out a hand for a tip! The driver/team lead did not park in our driveway, no they CHOSE to park the truck on the road, and then they CHARGED US AN ADDED FEE ($300) FOR A LONG HAUL. The office said the driver/team lead has the discretion to charge if the haul was more than 75 feet from the house; which it wouldn't have been if he parked in the driveway. THEN, the driver also charged a fee (another $300) for stairs! We have FOUR stone steps in the front, but from the side where the driveway is there are no stairs (the contract stipulates that the first flight of stairs is included). Each of the workers used the side entrance (no stairs) and hauled items using a dolly/hand cart. Had to file a claim, which the company disputed and denied. I have requested a 2nd level dispute, and will pursue legal action, if necessary. AVOID this company at all costs. Go local.
A scam.
I can say with confidence that I have never experienced a more unethical, poorly ran company. They scammed us, plain and simple. They held onto our items for TWO MONTHS after our delivery date, and it was clear that people had gone through each box and taken valuable items while leaving behind the rest. They stole/lost our TWO TVs, sewing machine, and other large objects. We were not allowed to see our boxes or have them unloaded off the truck at delivery until AFTER we signed our BOL. This means that they held our items hostage in a parking lot, and now are claiming that because we signed that document, we agree that everything was there and in good condition. You cannot spend two months with our belongings, steal every expensive object, and then decline to pay us more than $32 because of a document we were told we had to sign to get our belongings. We called, texted, and emailed repeatedly before, during, and after delivery and could not get them to help us. They told us on the phone they would cover the full cost of the major lost goods, but are now saying in the claims process that they will not honor it.
This is a scam. This company holds items hostage, tries to upcharge hundreds of dollars on delivery, and then claims it's your fault for not advocating for yourself while a stranger stands in front of you, holding a piece of paper, and threatening not to give you everything you own until you sign it after months without your belongings.
The worst movers ever
The worst movers ever. We went with them because the salesman promised that our stuff would be delivered within a certain window. They picked up our stuff on December 30th. The window for our move was January 8th-12th. Our stuff left California for Massachusetts on the last day of our window (the 12th). Today is the 20th and we still haven't received our items. The staff are really dodgy and won't give us an ETA. How are you a moving company if you can't keep your customers informed? They also aren't cheap. I will be out about $7000 for this entire move. The worst customer service as well. Never ever use them.
Worst company EVER! RUN
I was under the impression that my delivery time frame started from the dare my items were picked up, that in fact was not true. I booked a flight to ensure i could be at the location to receive my items only to be there and not receive.them. I called over a period of 4 days to try and get a status on where the truck was sobi could possible extend my stay only to be told it could be any day. I then called the number i made the reservation with where a RUDE a$$hole name Doug answered the phone. I attempted explain to D0ug that it wasnt clear that my timeframe wouldbt start when my items were picked up from my home. I recorded the conversation of D0ug telling me "I don't have to help you with shit, I can leave it where it is and you can pick it up yourself". I then stated there is no reason for him to be rude and nasty when I am trying to find out where my items were. I continue to try and get further information where he continued to use profanity and tell me he not gone help me and to figure it out. He felt it was important to tell me his military status, im also retired military so im not sure what that had to do with anything. IF YOU NEVER TOOK A REVIEW SERIOUS DO NOT AND I REPEAT DO NOT BOOK WITH THIS COMPANY. I would have been better off driving the items myself. I should have taken the negative reviews serious. I would like it to be known that the MOVERS were good they packed up everything fast and we're professional.

Please don’t use this moving company…
Please don’t use this moving company for your next moving. They are the horrible moving company in the states. BBB should take action and revoke their license since they have so many complaints filed already against this movers. They just lie in the beginning and make you sign the contract even they don’t insure your damages and take 20-25 days to delivery your items. They are not the real moving company they hire 3 rd party to move stuffs and charge higher charges. They take items and store them in their store for days and hired third party and make a delivery . And they don’t care if you received your items damaged or in a good condition. And if the items are damaged you gonna loose those items since they have a cents per pound insurance policy that means any thing damages is total trash. So please thing about all this before you hire them.
They are absolute a horrible mover company .
Worst moving experience I have ever…
Worst moving experience I have ever had. We had so many items damaged TV, Bookcase,Couch, Tables. They even lost the base to a family heirloom table and for that they offered $18.00! After 7 months of working on a claim with them they sent a settlement offer for $60.00! They charged additional money at the end of the move and of course you are held hostage if you want your belongings. They were brokered from Move Safe which was the original contact company for our move. You will be better off going with a national company like United Van Lines etc… The original quote may be higher but in the long run it will be cheaper as these small movers will required more money than quoted on the end of the move! NEVER AGAIN!
Their professionalism
Their professionalism, organization, and positive attitude were immediately noticeable. They took the time to understand my priorities, explained the process clearly, and made sure every detail was handled with care. Moving can be stressful, but they turned it into a smooth, efficient, and worry-free experience.
The crew worked with impressive coordination, treating all of my belongings with respect and attention. Fragile items were carefully wrapped, furniture was protected, and everything was loaded and unloaded with precision. Their teamwork and skill truly lived up to the company’s name—every step felt “first class.”
What stood out most was their commitment to customer satisfaction. They checked in frequently, asked where I wanted each item placed, and made adjustments without hesitation. Their friendly attitude made the entire process feel easy and comfortable.
From start to finish, First Class Movers exceeded my expectations. Their reliability, efficiency, and exceptional service make them a company I would recommend with full confidence. If you’re looking for a moving team that delivers professionalism, quality, and peace of mind, First Class Movers is the right choice. I couldn’t be happier with the service they provided.
My experience with First Class Movers…
My experience with First Class Movers was truly exceptional, and I want to highlight the incredible work done by Jon. From the very beginning, Jon showed a level of professionalism and dedication that immediately stood out. He arrived on time, communicated clearly, and made sure I understood every step of the moving process. His calm and confident approach took away all the stress normally associated with moving.
Jon handled every piece of furniture and every box with care, treating my belongings as if they were his own. He was patient, attentive, and always willing to adjust things to make sure I was completely satisfied. What really impressed me was how efficiently he worked while still maintaining a high standard of safety and precision.
Throughout the entire move, Jon remained positive, friendly, and respectful. He checked in regularly to ensure everything was going exactly the way I wanted. It’s rare to find someone in this industry who combines skill, speed, and genuine customer care the way Jon does.
Thanks to Jon and the rest of the First Class Movers team, my move was smooth, organized, and absolutely stress-free. I highly recommend their services and want to give a special thank-you to Jon for making the entire experience truly first class.
I had an outstanding experience with…
I had an outstanding experience with First Class Movers, and I want to give special recognition to Jon for his exceptional service. From the moment the team arrived, Jon carried himself with a level of professionalism, kindness, and expertise that immediately put me at ease. He communicated clearly, handled every item with great care, and made sure the entire move went smoothly from start to finish.
What impressed me most about Jon was his attention to detail. He didn’t rush the job, yet he worked efficiently and confidently, showing that he truly knows what he’s doing. He checked in frequently to make sure everything was placed exactly where I wanted it and went above and beyond to ensure nothing was overlooked. His positive attitude throughout the move made the entire experience stress-free and even enjoyable.
The whole crew did a fantastic job, but Jon stood out as someone who genuinely cares about his work and his customers. Finding movers who take this level of pride in their service is rare, and I couldn’t be more satisfied with the results. I highly recommend First Class Movers, and I especially want to thank Jon for making my move truly first-class.
"First Class" isn't
In addition, I was waiting to see if you were going to address the single most important issue for us, in dealing with First Class; i.e. the invoicing for the cost of the move.
I still believe we were grossly overcharged. There were the statements from those who packed our belongings and the fact that two trucks were sent on the day of the move. (indicating that there should have been far more to pack/ship than there really was) In addition, First Class did not have to move any large appliances, like refrigerators, stoves, washing machines. Our heaviest items were Connie's motorized wheelchair and her power lift chair; those items we moved ourselves.
The agent who wrote our contract said he had twenty-five years of experience, so we would assume he was too capable to make a mistake like overestimating our household goods by at least 3,000#, We were never informed about the "Price Lock" guarantee, nor the fact that if our shipment was well below the estimate, we wouldn't be issued a rebate.
As far as I can tell, moving companies work within a bit of a "closed system", what Third Party confirms the weight of any truck's contents? Do customers understand that First Class will keep the difference between the estimate and the actual weight? At no point was there ever a detailed breakdown of charges to be able to do an apples to apples comparison with other providers.
The other costs, like additional days spent in a hotel and broken furniture, pale by comparison to the excessive cost of the move. Please do what you can to see that our concern is addressed.

***Do not use this company***
***Do not use this company***
Started out with initial quote with "Doug" claiming to be a manager and trying to sell BS. Saying he was a Navy Seal and pompously telling me his bs stories in order to impress me. Dude was completely full of himself and very egotistical. Real service men don't talk about themselves the way he did and I should have listened to the red flag. He barely let me talk or ask questions and went on repeating hes a bonafide agent and no one beats their prices, repeating they are not brokers. However, they act as brokers. Doug was very rude, vulgar, and unprofessional.
Then on pick up day, they don't tell you about the bulk item fee of $600. They don't tell you this prior even though my bulk items were listed and itemized. In addition, they charge you a $750 packing fee if "everything" is not in a box and I mean everything. You can tell these fees are for the movers and not the company. Once packed and taken to a warehouse in a box truck, my property was stored in a temporary location until delivery (I had airtag locators in my boxes). Then reloaded on an 18 wheeler truck for transport. I moved from California to Texas. Once picked up by an 18 wheeler truck, it was delivered to my location. The delivery movers try to obtain more money by saying they couldn't park the 18 wheeler on the street and needed to be repacked in a box truck for an additional $1500. After agreement, they abided and charged me an additional $75 for an extra walk to my front door from the end of my driveway. The moving teams are kind and respectful but seriously attempt to extort you out of your money because you have no choice to receive your property and already paid 60% at pick-up up and 40% at drop off. It should be criminal. In addition, when arriving, my property boxes were destroyed. Here's a list:
Broken newer TV, antique desk, a full box of dishware, damaged/dented brand new refrigerator, decor damaged, horrible communication, couldn't get a hold of anyone at their phone number provided, can't get a hold of Claims after leaving numerous messages and emails, without a single response.
I cannot express to NOT USE THIS COMPANY by any means. I ended up with paying $1400 on top of the initial "binding not-to-exceed" agreement. Plus over $2000 in damaged property. The "small print" has so many loop holes and is all BS to the fullest. I'm sure the company won't care as they got my money.
Dustin P.
In addressing your response, I still stand on my complaint, because you still did not address my destroyed property or respond about not being able to contact anyone. The corporate blanketed response is expected and scandalous. There is no customer satisfaction as many reviews on other platforms support this and integrity is clearly not a priority in my direct experience. Thank you Doug for your service.

Disappointed, stressed and angry.
My husband and I are moving from Prescott Arizona to Crossville Tennessee. Contacted the company first class movers and they quoted us a quote for our belongings. When the company came out to load their truck, they adjusted this according to the items that we had which is understandable But one of the employees within 10 minutes stole a safe that had $30,000 in it as well as titles to our cars, Social Security numbers, etc. we filed a police report in the police are still looking into this in the interim the company that loaded all of our possessions left Without getting approximately a 10th of our load my husband had to hire a U-Haul and pack these items himself. He is a senior citizen and has a lot of problems with his joints. Needless to say he is now hurting. The additional cost for the items left behind that my husband was unable to load himself are worth probably $2500. We are currently in Crossville waiting for our truck. We have contacted the company several times to be told that it is on its way, but we have yet to see Anything. We continue to contact the company as they do not contact us to no avail. I am disabled in some of the things that are on this truck. I need in my everyday life. I did not expect it to be anywhere near as long as it has been, over two weeks and counting. I am truly shocked by the actions and reactions of this company. It is very unprofessional let alone unethical. The communication is appalling. We need help and are at a loss as to what to do from this point I guess a lawyer is in our future. Susan Lollar

Move from Hell - Part 2
Now that everything has been unpacked and unwrapped, we've discovered some damage. During a previous review, I was assured that they would send a link to my email so I could complete a claim form, but I never received it. For the past two days, I've been attempting to call their 888-482-6659 number (listed on the Bill of Lading Contract), but all I hear is a continuous 'no route found' recording. I also emailed them at the email address listed on the Bill of Lading Contract two days ago and have yet to receive a response. Attempts to reach their offices in Texas, Sacramento, and Seattle only led me to voicemail or were told the number is unavailable. How can I file a claim if I can't access their form? This reflects poorly on their management.
The move from Hell
They were late picking us up by 2 hours. The original price was around $3744, they wanted another $4,230 to load it and when they did finally deliver it another $2,815 was due. Neither of which I was told about in advance. Legs on several tables and antique devices were broken and repaired before it even got to the delivery point. One chair was lost never seen. Leather couches had scratches on them. The one contract helper they hired was paid $50 and moved over 80% of the load. He told me that he was told it was a small load. Our furniture was in a warehouse for nearly 3 weeks. The broker indicated that it was 1 to 8 days for less than 500 miles, it was closer to 19 days for 300 miles. I've made many moves in my life having been in the military for 20 years, this was by far the worst move I have ever experienced including a move overseas.

Brokered, careless movers
On pickup,Pro wrappers did great.loaded everything in a 26' trk waist high. Everything must have been transferred to a warehouse then a 53 ft big rig trailer. On arrival somebody else's belongings were put in our yard and it did not look good. Walked on mutilated cardboard, broken tape, exposed belongings. Good thing it wasn't raining. My barbecue was missing three pieces and bent out of shape. Scratch with many deep gouges. it was stacked on top of everything. Unloader was using boxes to step on to get to the top which left crushed boxes. The kitchen dining table took two giant gouges, thrown so hard it dislocated screws, lost. push lawn mower took gouges and dislocated a screw, lost. required mattress cover was completely removed but the box spring was 100% intact, had holes in cover like boxes were thrown at it along with shoe prints on the fabric. Unloaders were pleasant, did not ding up the walls of the new house or drop any boxes.
First Class Movers truly lived up to…
First Class Movers truly lived up to their name! I had a last-minute move and was stressed about finding someone reliable on such short notice. They stepped up and made the entire process smooth. The team was professional, efficient, and handled everything with care. Highly recommend them for anyone needing dependable movers, especially in a pinch!
Moving and house shopping is already stressful enough. We did not need this added frustration.
Pros:
- They packed our stuff.
- They stored our stuff.
- The first month of storage was free.
- They delivered our stuff with minimal damage.
Cons:
- They are not a moving company. They are a broker pretending to be a moving company.
- They do not accept more conventional forms of payment, such as a 'credit card', even when paying for storage fees.
- They are slow to process storage fee payments, even erroneously stating you are 'late' when they haven't finished processing a payment made weeks ago. To their credit, they were quick to admit fault in this when I brought this error to their attention.
- The cost was exhorbitant.
- The cost for storage was triple what we were originally quoted.
- If you want your stuff delivered on a specific date, they will charge you an additional fee.
- They will charge you if they need to use an elevator when delivering your stuff.
- They will charge you if they have to bring things up more than one flight of stairs, defined by them as 'seven steps', though they wave this fee for single family residences.
- They will charge you a 'long carry fee' if they have to carry things more than 75 feet.
- They will charge a 'shuttle fee' if they cannot park their semi on your street.
- Contacting a human being via phone proved difficult in most cases. Usually, we would call only to receive an immediate text telling us they were 'experiencing a high volume of calls'.
- Getting a straight answer when we were trying to arrange for delivery was impossible. Even for a basic question as simple as 'Can we get an estimate as to when we can expect our items to be delivered', the only answer we would receive was 'We don't have an exact estimate'. Last I was aware, exact estimates are not a thing, that's why they are estimates.
- The 'delivery window' is basically useless. We were told it could take between 2 and 12 days to receive our things after we requested the delivery on 06/17. We were informed the delivery was on the way the afternoon of 06/19. On 06/20 we were told the delivery would arrive within a two hour window (16:00-18:00) on 06/21. The morning of 06/21, we received another text message from the driver (NOT "First Class Movers") stating the delivery would be delayed until 06/22 between 07:00 and 09:00. To their credit, they did meet this second delivery window. This might be fine for most cases, but as I live four hours away from where the delivery dropoff is, it caused us much difficulty.
- Delivery driver was either unwilling or unable to delay delivery to a date more convenient for us. Not their fault, but definitely a significant con in my book.
- Delivery crew consisted of literally one man speaking broken english to unload an entire house's worth of stuff. The 'crew' was a pleasant person, but I'd expect more than one person for handling some of the things we had delivered, as many pieces were quite large and heavy.
The Bottom Line: If you do not care about your time, your money, your things, or getting to reliably communicate with actual human beings, you'll probably have an acceptable experience with this company, but I would still not recommend them to you or to anyone else. I don't know if these sorts of practices are just industry standard or if they are standard practice for this company, but I feel neither case is acceptable.

First class movers and MoveSafe has…
First class movers and MoveSafe have given me the worst moving experience. I was better off renting a uhaul. All the items that the movers packed from my original location arrived water damaged. I have attempted to call them over a dozen times with absolutely no response almost as if they have no employees to even have a customer service. I need to file a claim but need to speak to someone about how to handle my damaged items. I feel cheated out of over $3000 because all the items I decided to move with me instead of sell and rent a uhaul have been damaged.
The lack of accountability from the company that dispatched them is insane as well. Don’t get me started on the lack of communication when it came to the arrival of my stuff. They called me while I was headed out of town on Father’s Day to visit my dad in another city saying they had my items on route for delivery (not 24 hr notice) I have lost sleep over this. LITERALLY. my very expensive mattress. THE MOST IMPORTANT PART OF MY MOVE. Damaged.
