Because our products are 100% natural and free from stabilisers, changes in texture (like graininess) can happen, especially in warmer temperatures. The natural scent of tallow can also vary slightly from batch to batch.

Hi Mel, thank you for your feedback and for giving our tallow balm a try. We're really sorry for the confusion — we’ve looked into this and it seems the date on your jar rubbed off slightly in transit, making the “6” look like a “5.”

To reassure you, we’ve already sent over the batch production sheet showing it’s best before 2026. All of our creams are made in-house in small, fresh batches, and they tend to sell out quickly — something we’re proud of, as it means our customers receive the freshest possible product.

That said, we absolutely take your concerns seriously. Going forward, we’ll now be printing the BBE on the boxes too, to prevent any rubbing off. And of course, we’d be happy to send you a replacement — just drop us a message and we’ll get that sorted for you right away.
