Great experience dealing with Jon at Fairclough Travel. Nothing is too much trouble. He takes time to find out your likes, interests and expectations, which together with his knowledge and experience means he can recommend the perfect trip for you within your budget. Then arranges everything for you from airport parking, hotel stays etc. We have now booked two trips with Fairclough Travel and Jon will definitely be our go to agent for future trips. Takes all the hassle out of booking holidays yourself.

Great booking experience where Jon listened to what we were looking for, planned accordingly and provided a great package for South Africa which gives us exactly what we wanted.

We have used Jon once before for a mini cruise, and I knew he could guide us through the process when were ready to book a 7 day cruise. I used to work in travel and left the industry in 2013 since then I’ve used my own knowledge to build our trips using travel agents a lot! But what I have found with the vast majority of them is they need spoon feeding and are really glorified booking engines.

After a couple of conversations with Jon I realised very quickly he is completely different . He has extensive knowledge of travel and is very happy to share this sign posting you to the very best solutions. We were initially looking for a river cruise and we did book what we initially thought with him, ( interestingly for the very price conscious at the same price we could of booked this ourselves on line with Tui) but with extra titbits of information and recommendations from him on cabin position and suggested route for our first cruise. This was all done over coffee locally therefore he was selling his human side and not just using email or telephone.

Our second trip we had no hesitation in using the company he recommended as we had that instant trust. We didn’t look at other options and this was for a more expensive safari holiday.

Jon is now looking at a bespoke option for the South Pacific for us and another ocean cruise which I can’t see any reason why we won’t book these with him too.

He challenges your thinking but that gives you other options that you won’t have considered or found easily online. He’s also made us aware of another river cruise company that we may well use next year with him as well. It looks fantastic and we would never have found this ourselves even with our Google friend !

After many years of searching I feel we have found ‘our travel agent’ and look forward to an ongoing relationship.

If anyone is thinking I can do this all myself online, yes you can but he really does go the extra mile and I would strongly recommend anyone having a chat with him.

I am so glad I searched river cruises Danube on Facebook and his group popped up .

Jon was incredibly helpful and took the time to answer all my questions so that we could choose the right cruise for us. We paid the same price as if we had booked directly with TUI but this gave me the opportunity to gain more information from someone who had done the cruise themselves. Jon was very approachable and offered support and assistance without any pressure. We exchanged a number of emails and telephone calls and he also offered out of hours teams calls to include my husband. We were able to book our trip with ease and Jon found us the best deal possible honouring the price initially offered. He was able to discuss all the payment options available giving a clear indication of when payments would be due. His knowledge of the locations was excellent and he provided ideas on how we could enhance our trip and make it more comfortable by sharing knowledge of cabin solutions and avoiding the noisiest.
