Car insured with esure and paid full year in advance. Full NCB and am now selling the car without replacing (thank you Starmer!) 2 months to run on policy so contacted esure to ask about refund of remaining 2 months. Told there's a £58 cancellation fee and as that is more than the amount to be refunded I end up owing them money!!! "Its in the terms and conditions" Well yes, I'm sure it is hidden away somewhere in the small print but if you have to rely on the small print to treat your customers fairly then you're not a company I ever want to deal with again. So its goodbye esure and just to be awkward I'm not going to cancel the policy - why should I pay you to cancel?

Would never ever get insurance with this company again as I've been given the runaround from last night. Still no sign of a courtesy car from their end. They use enterprise hire car but I'm not getting a car from them as the driver that hit me had stolen the car. Not my fault but now after more than 16 hours that the engineer has had to assess the damage,one of the claim assistants said call back and we will get you a car, ha what a laugh the other agent says they haven't even looked at the images yet. So after all this yet again another day of losing work as no car. THIS COMPANY IS NOT EVEN WORTH HALF A STAR. I've given the runaround so much I'm seriously enraged at this point,their system needs to be upgraded in so many ways I would steer clear of esure
It's fine buying the cheapest, BUT.....
It's fine buying the cheapest insurance, but you get what you pay for. Esure have taken 791 days to close my car accident claim and have been virtually impossible to get hold of. Even the other party's insurers couldn't get hold of them, as I ended up getting a county court summons. Thats when the stress really started. I spent hours on hold to the claims number, with no one answering. Emails and recorded delivery letters unanswered. I had to defend the CC summons myself initially, with zero support from Esure.
The Which? Survey of Esure says it all:
53% claims score – 19th out of 19 providers rated.
Go ahead, buy their insurance - after that you will be on your own.......

After 5 days Ensure hasn't been able to handle my car to the garage, they only told to the outsource company in charge to deliver my car the garage address 5 days after they collected it. Still awaiting a courtesy car. A filled.a complaint. Then someone called me (on my phone it says suspected fraud), this person said work in Ensure but they asked me for my name and address. I said you are calling me, you tell me my details and I will confirm. Person refused and said will only talk to me if I gave my details (it's the caller who need to provide these, obviously they dont know anything about data protection legislation. To be reported, please avoid

Probably the worst customer service I’ve ever received, keep calling to arrange a refund for a charge in error. They say it’s done and it never is.

I cannot begin to explain just how bad this company is. If you imagine the worst company of any kind and times it by 10 then your still not kse to how bad they are. Customer service is a joke, getting NCB is impossible and lord help you if you have to swap vehicles!!!
I paid £36 for a mid term switch (which took 2 days on virtual chat to sort) only to find out today (after being pulled over by the police) that they didn't action it.
So tried to action it today to be told I had to pay a further £88 which of course isn't happening.
Asked if I cancelled the policy (only 1 month left on the term) would I get my NCB and was advised yes.
Cancelled policy, guess what, 0 no claims. Challenged Sithuanda (the chat person) who said sorry I miss understood!
So now I have no insurance, no NCB, a fine from the police and an apology to make it all right.

Asked could I cancel as I am within the cooling off period and was told no. Absolutely disgusting. I will be cancelling this that's for sure. Did as I was asked, the quote then rose by £100. What planet are these people on? Steer clear, in my opinion. No phone number that connects you, you email address. Mmmmm

So my insurance has gone up from 303 to 476 plus 20 years no claims. To cancel my renewal they keep you on phone for ages in the end I put the phone down. After taking all my details to cancel. Why do you have to wait ….. so long to confirm cancellation. Listening to the most depressing music! Shame on you Ensure another loyal customer gone! Oh and 0345 number cost me 30p a minute hence why I was on hold so long!

I got through to ensure and spoke to someone after 5 days off trying to contact them , they gave me a phone number that doesn’t exist and a email address that don’t take emails it’s disgusting how they treat people they send you a letter blaming you for crash and to contact them but don’t give a email or number to contact them only a name which no one no’s it’s a terrible service
