I spent £3050 on panels and no instalment
I signed up to have 12 panels, inverter and 2x batteries fitted in early December and paid the deposit. I was going away for a couple of months and agreed that I would contact them at the beginning of March for the works to go ahead in that month.
I contacted them and delivery was arranged and made for the equipment, I was then hounded every hour after delivery to make another 60% payment, which was not in our contract. I stupidly made the payment and was promised they would come back to me to arrange installation the next day. No one came back to me. I had to chase them continuously.
After threatening cancellation, I was told scaffolding would arrive on a certain day and yet on that day nothing arrived and again after chasing was told they would get back to me. I finally sent them a formal letter with 7 day notice and was completed ignored. I eventually sent them a letter terminating our contract for breach of contract. I received a reply minutes later telling me they would be installing in 2 weeks. I declined this offer as I no longer had any trust in this company. They then offered to bring it forward to next week, again I declined. They finally agreed to refund me and arranged collection of their equipment and would refund me immediately.
They have collected their equipment fast enough but nearly two weeks later, still no refund! They have said monies will be with me by the end of this week, I won’t hold my breath! I will be doing a chargeback through my credit cards this Friday if no money has been refunded.
Do not trust this company, they ignore you once they have your money. If you do take a chance with this company make sure you pay by credit card, so you are protected. Never pay by bank transfer, which is what they tried to get me to do.
Put in an order and promised me delivery within a week. That time came and last then promised me delivery the next week. Again delivery wasn't fulfilled.
You struggle to get anyone to answer the phones. When you final get in touch with Megan you get a very rude response explaining how she is a sales manager and has been in meetings.
Just unacceptable customer service. Hopefully I will get my refund
We had our equipment delivered on the 28th of October as follows: Battery Inverter & EV charger, then on the 6th of November, the solar panels. Our contract stated that everything would be fitted within 10 days. We are still waiting for installation.
Eventually we were given a date for the 17th February this year. No one arrived! We asked for a for refund and for the equipment to be collected on the 24th of February but did not receive a reply. I posted a one-star review on here on the 27th of February.
We were then contacted by Emyra a day or so later and were promised that an installation company would be in touch in the next day or so to arrange. They continually asked me to take down my review which I did as I trusted they would now be fitting our equipment. An installation company phoned us and said we would have everything installed in the next week or so and arranged for scaffolding to be erected.
Scaffolders did put up scaffolding on the 7th of March. We contacted the installation company asking why they had not yet arrived on the 11th of March. They phoned us and stated that they would not be coming to install the equipment until they were paid.
I then reposted an updated 1 star review.
Emyra messaged us to ask to take down the review I said no as it was factual and true.
On the 23rd March we were sent a PDF letter from Ecogenesis Renewables Ltd
• trading as Emyra Solar
LETTER BEFORE ACTION Defamation • Malicious Falsehood. They state, "Seek damages of no less than £80,000, together with interest pursuant to section 35A of the Senior CourtsAct 1981 at the rate of 8% per annum from the date of first publication;"
"Unless you remedy the matters set out herein within 24 hours of the date of this letter, the Company will issue proceedings without further notice."
Obviously, I am now seeking legal advice.
I have saved all the WhatsApp correspondence and a recorded telephone conversation with sales member of staff.

Hi again,
We're just following up about your review of emyrasolar.co.uk, which was flagged for containing defamatory content.
The decision
Good news — we've assessed the content flagged by the business and determined that it's not defamatory.
I placed an order with Megan at Emyra Solar on 23rd February for a Hanchu 3.2 kWh battery priced at £800 delivered being assured it would arrive within 5 days. That deadline came and went with zero communication. I emailed them daily—no reply. I called their main number—not in service. I tried their customer service portal—not available. At this point it felt like the company had vanished.
Thankfully, I paid through Clearpay, so I contacted them and provided all the evidence of my experience and Clearpay opened a dispute. Strangely, the very next day Emyra finally contacted me, claiming there was a delay on the battery and promising delivery on 11th March—but only if I closed the dispute. That alone raised red flags.
I told them I wouldn’t close anything until the battery was actually delivered. They responded saying this was “too risky” for them and refused to send the item. Instead of resolving the issue, they waited 13 days before updating Clearpay, marking the dispute as “invalid due to manufacturer delays”. Fortunately, Clearpay stepped in, saw what was happening, and cancelled the order with a full refund.
After this experience, I strongly question the legitimacy of their online reputation. Their website footer displays a 5‑star Trustpilot badge, yet their real Trustpilot rating is 3.7, and on YellowPages they sit at 1 star. It’s hard not to suspect that many of the glowing Google reviews are fake.
Overall, this has been one of the worst online shopping experiences I’ve ever had. Unresponsive, unprofessional, and evasive. I would not recommend Emyra Solar to anyone.
Ordered 6 panels, inverter and battery. Four panels fitted, with battery, invertor and still waiting for stanchions to arrive to put up the remaining two panels. Anyone else had delays like this?
More broken promises. Job still not finished as of 09 4 2026.
After waiting longer than expected I have had my solar panels and batteries fitted I had 10 panels a 3.7kw fox inverter and 2 fox batteries installed the team came and done an excellent job and the system is performing really well.
The whole process was smooth and stress-free. From delivery to setup, everything happened when they said it would. The site was left clean and the system has been working perfectly since day one.
Really pleased with the whole process. Good communication, fast deliver, and a smooth installation. The team was professional and efficient, and the system is working great. Would definitely recommend.
I’m based in Scotland and recently ordered the Fox 3.6 kW system with 8 panels for £4,090 from Emyra Solar. To be honest, I was a bit sceptical at first because the price seemed too good compared to other quotes I received. But everything turned out far better than I expected. The delivery was quick, the installation team was professional and friendly, and they took time to explain how the system works.
