We booked our trip to see the 2022 West Indies v England first two test matches in Antigua and Barbados through Elite Sports Travel as they had provisional packages advertised on their website way ahead of other tour operators, including competitive provisional prices and some very good reviews of their previous sporting events. Elite kept us fully informed of the likely dates and venues which were eventually confirmed by the West Indies Cricket Board, the firmed up costs were considerably higher than those provisionally advertised but we were offered and accepted lower cost options (still considerably higher than the original provisional costs).

Whilst we had a good overall holiday we had a number of unfortunate experiences;

*Durations at Antigua / Barbados - being informed a few days prior to departure that we would be transferring from Antigua to Barbados a day early cost us our only cricket free day in Antigua, separated us from fellow guests and missed the experience of a small plane transfer. We did however arrange and fund a driver for a half day tour of Antigua on the transfer day morning.

*Itinerary - late delivery of merchandise and more importantly the itinerary was not ‘several weeks before’.

*Departure Lounge - as instructed in the itinerary we made our way to Lounge 1 at Gatwick but were refused entry as apparently did not have correct entry class level.

*Antigua - Tradewinds Hotel - on arrival at the hotel we were taken outside by the manager to be informed there was an issue with our room and were told they were trying to find us an alternative hotel for the night. This was eventually resolved after some 4 hours. The hotel were very apologetic and kept us informed. We did however end up with a nice room.

*Antigua Day Trips - Despite asking some weeks prior to the trip, no options of day trips were suggested or offered.

*Barbados - Time Out Hotel - on arrival we were initially informed that we only had a room for one night (separate booking for the ‘extra’ night), the room was very poor and the hotel generally had a ‘low end’ feel. Again we managed to get the room issue resolved and got a better room from the second night onwards.

*Hotel Water Supply - no water in hotel for a day (no shower, hand washing and toilet flushing), general very low water pressure. Eventually resolved, Elite could have checked that the issue had been resolved.

*Barbados Day Trips – On arrival at Barbados the transfer company provided details of proposed excursions but all those on non-cricket days were already fully booked up. We did however eventually independently manage to arrange trips.

*Elite Representation (Ben) - no Elite presence for last 4 days.

*Group Activities - no ‘non cricket day’ group activities offered.

*On the day of departure the hotel demanded that we pay them for our stay as they had not been paid, after numerous telephone conversations John and Ben told us to refuse to pay, we were concerned that the hotel would deduct the cost from our credit card as we had given them details on arrival. We asked that Elite pay and seek a refund. Eventually the booking company Elite had used settled the bill just before we left. A stressful last day.

*We appreciate that a number of the issues we encountered were outside of Elite’s direct control but overall felt that what Elite were offering on their website had not been met and did not represent appropriate value for money. We could have booked through another operator with the added advantages of all inclusive food & drinks, special guest speaker evenings, being all together in one hotel etc for a similar or less cost.

*We would however say John was excellent and enhanced the Antigua experience being present as we arrived at the cricket ground each day, mingled amongst us and escorted us onto our mini buses each evening.

*We would also say the taxi transfer companies Elite employed throughout the tour were also excellent.

*Ben sent a message to some of the travelling party expressing concerns over receiving complaints from some of the party and understandingly asked that we inform him of any issues as early as possible, we replied outlining the issues covered on this review and he promised to come back to us on everything in due course, some 4 weeks later we have not heard back from him.

Perhaps this tour was not one of Elite’s high-end packages but we felt it fell short of what they advertise on their website namely;

‘Our mantra is to under promise and over deliver. We want to deliver an experience for our guests that makes you feel like we have put on the VIP treatment just for you and your tour companions. We want you to feel special’.
‘Anyone can book you some flights and hotels. We know you can organise that yourself with a bit of searching. We do organise those things, but we also do a lot more’.

I have nothing but praise for our experience with ES. From initial booking to dealing with the many questions we had as first time visitors to Barbados, John was thorough and professional and always seemed to go the extra mile to ensure we had all the information we wanted. Unfortunately we had to cancel the trip, and not only were John and Ben sympathetic, but instantly started to negotiate for some compensation to which we were not automatically entitled, with a successful outcome. I would thoroughly recommend them for any sports trip.

I booked my trip of a lifetime/bucket list trip to Barbados to see England play cricket. I was travelling alone so the decision to use a Travel company made sense, and I took a lot of time to decide who to use, but could not have been happier I chose ES.

I cannot praise John and Ben enough. John was so good and patient in answering my (many) pre-travel questions very promptly and with a lot of detail. Ben attended some of the Test Match, was really helpful and great company. Overall I would thoroughly recommend ES and when finances allow will definitely look to book another trip!

Super Bowl 56 Los Angeles Feb 2022

A fantastic trip made all the more memorable by the Elite team and the events they arranged.

This was the first time we had used Elite so were naturally a bit cautious but in hindsight there was no need. Their service was first class all the way from pre-booking though to after the event. Everything was well planned and organised. The pre-event welcome evening hosted by the Around the NFL podcast guys was first class in a great venue.

For me the trip they planned had the perfect balance of organised events and free time so we got some time to do some touristy stuff in LA, Hollywood and Santa Monica as well as the Super Bowl themed events.

A special shout out to John who bailed us out on the day of departure after we badly mis-judged the LA traffic and missed our airport pick-up. He re-arranged the car to our schedule at short notice and got us to the airport in plenty of time.

Going to the game was a once in a life time bucket list item for me. But Elite made the whole trip memorable and leaves me wanting to go again. The only thing they didn't supply was the correct game result, but as every sports fan will tell you ... there's always next season!

Myself and a friend booked with Elite.. we were arriving from different countries to watch the cricket in Barbados. Everything was organised to perfection and went according to plan. I Would not hesitate to recommend this company , Simon

We happened to meet John in Antigua where he was representing Elite Sports Travel at the test cricket. Although he was very busy with his job, he took time to help us with an issue, for which my wife and I were grateful. He followed through, communicated well, and did exactly what he said he was going to. Thanks John.

Amazing experience can't thank elite sports enough,especially John took us through our booking process and kept us updated on any changes.To be able to meet Jason Bell and talk to him was amazing, but Friday to meet the around nfl podcast guys just topped this whole experience off can't thank the whole team of elite sports enough for everything they put on for the whole week,would highly recommend if you want a superbowl experience of a lifetime,just can't say enough about elite sports

Brilliant from start to finish. We’d never been on an organised sports tour before and we chose Elite as they offered just what we wanted at a competitive price. From the first phone call everything was so easy. John was great and dealt with everything we needed answering calls and emails right away. Transfers to and from the airport and to the ground all good and right on time. Great tickets in the ground too. Ben joined the trip after a week and was in constant touch making sure everything was ok. Couldn’t fault these guys in any way. Wouldn’t hesitate to recommend them. Superb.

Another great Superbowl experience with elite sports travel.
When I first did this a few years ago, I thought it was my once in a lifetime trip and found it an amazing time and felt very valued and looked after as a customer, this was Atlanta 2019.
I have since been to two more Superbowls, the latest being Los Angeles, with Ben, John and Dave and each time it gets more memorable. Each year they seem to outdo the previous year.
As each time we get to meet current presenters of the NFL and ex NFL players, at a relaxing evening venue and listen to their thoughts and opinions, where they are always willing to answer our questions on their careers and thoughts on the game, as well as get chance for photos to be taken.
Elite sports travel have made each trip so easy and relaxing each time I have gone, ensuring everything they promise is catered for, whether this be transport to and from the hotel and airport or match day transport, as well as pre game party and match day tickets, they also look to cater for any upgrades you request. They also check that the hotel is fine where I am staying and make sure I am having a good time out there.
They are always on hand and very approachable in answering any queries I may have regarding my trip and their quick responses will always put my mind at ease.
I would highly recommend them and will be using their services again for overseas England cricket tours in the future and future NFL trips, due to such care attention to detail they provide and making me so valued as a customer

Just back from a fantastic trip to the Super Bowl at Sofi Stadium with Elite Sports Travel.

This was a once in a lifetime trip with all the hassle of getting flights, sought after hotel rooms and those all important tickets taken care of.

Not only that but they organised some money cannot buy, exclusive events with some of the well known names from the UK’s coverage of the NFL (namely Jason Bell, Neil Reynolds and the Around the NFL podcast team). Entrance to pre match hospitality was also included.

The overall organisation by Elite was first class. Going to a Super Bowl is an incredible experience. This was so good that a once in a lifetime trip may have to be more like a three or four times trip!

Honestly it was everything I hoped for and more! You can source your only flights and tickets if you really want to just go to the game, but what Elite do is all the extra stuff such as the events, meet and greets, personalisation that you just cant get anywhere else. If you are going to go and do a once in a lifetime trip they really do make it extra special. Already thinking about doing New Orleans in a few years!

Where to start.....what an incredible few weeks. I could not recommend Elite Sports Travel (EST) highly enough. I was travelling alone (for the first time!!) and was rather nervous but there were plenty of solo travellers also on the trip. Being sports lovers, everyone quickly became friends!
The service provided by EST from the moment I arrived at Heathrow was brilliant. Ben, John, Sven, Aaron & Virgyl were incredibly friendly, approachable and organised - despite everything Covid & the weather tried to throw at them! They organised everything - flights, hotels, transport, tickets, tail gating to name a few. Most importantly, they were great fun and great people.
Being able to see the Bills vs Patriots in true Buffalo weather was something none of us will ever forget! The incredible US Bank Stadium in Minneapolis was by far the best stadium I have ever been to. The Green Bay game at Lambeau field was as special as everyone tells you it is - what a truly odd yet fascinating town and stadium.
The surprises thrown in - meeting some ex-NFL players such as Antonio Freeman made the trip even better. Throwing some free throws at the Timberwolves game was rather cool too!!
All in all, I had the trip of a lifetime - it really was that good. I'm looking forward to the next one already!!

Where do I start. Elite gave me a trip of a life time and so much more!! Finding out about the trip and speaking to John and Ben to get more information. They gave me the confidence i needed to book. I was a solo traveller that never been to America before and due to traveling in a world with covid, i was quite nervous. But they stayed in contact with me letting me know if any changes that might happen all the way to the day we travelled.
The merchandise pack was a great touch. Will get many year use out of mine!
The Neil QnA nights and stadium tours so much fun. Getting to meet and chat with ex players. Great way to just enjoy the sport I love! The tour of lambeau field was a dream! Made me love my team so much more!
The pro football hall of fame that is something you need to do! If you have not been it's hard to explain how amazing the place is!
The nba game and 3 nfl games, Minnesota Timberwolves game, going on court after the game and take a free throw, yes I missed haha. Buffalo Bills tailgate with 50mph winds. Minnesota Vikings was a party. But the Greenbay Packers game, I am not biased (gopackgo) was my dream come true!! EST made all that happen!!

What I got from elite was worth every penny! I really mean it. They went above and way way beyond my expectations. They really are a team you can trust! When my bank account let's it happen,
I will be booking again!

Had a fantastic time on the Neil reynolds Road trip in December 2021. The trip offered great value for money with the chance to take in 3 NFL games within the space of a week. The Team at Elite - Ben, John, Sven, Virgil and Aaron were all excellent and their attention to detail was second to none. Looking forward to the next one - if the Mrs will let me - LOL

Just returned from the “Neil Reynolds Road Trip” an eight night three NFL game trip with Elite which was all over the north east of the US.

Incredibly well organised with a huge amount of effort to take all the Covid hassle out of holidaying during a pandemic. Although the price isn’t a small number you get the feeling at the end of the trip of how they manage to keep the price so low!

The team had everything covered and added little extras along the way such as Niagara Falls visit, NBA game, Stadium tour etc.

I’m not really an “escorted tour” person but the other guests were great and to have planned this yourself would have been a nightmare.

Would 100% book with them again.

Just returned from our NFL road trip and suffice to say, the trip was amazing.

The Elite team were magnificent from start to finish. From the moment I engaged with John to enquire about the trip, to the final parting at Heathrow in the baggage halls at the end of the trip, the team were magnificent. On hand at all times, their ambition to ensure that each of their clients valued the trip was met. It was fantastic to have them with us. Everything was taken care of.

Even with the significant covid curveball thrown in not once but twice in the 10 days leading up to departure, Elite went above and beyond to ensure that all of their clients got an experience of lifetime.

Elite couldn’t have picked three more iconic venues and games to visit for the tour alongside a surreal visit to the Pro Football Hall of Fame. An unbelievable tour.

Ben, John, Sven, Aaron and Virgil, thank you for hitting my ambitions from the trip and realising the dreams of both my lad and I.

Cannot recommend this company & John enough. The service & care has been exceptional. So efficient & reassuring whenever I’ve enquired about anything I’m unsure of or worried about. Especially with everything happening at the moment with Covid. They add personal touches & details I was so happy with as I booked a holiday through them for my husbands 40th as a surprise, & they helped me throughout the whole process making it completely stress free!

We had the most amazing experience going to the 2020 Superbowl with Elite Sports Travel. The team are true professionals and couldn’t have been more helpful. Just knowing that everything was taken care of and well organised - from flights to hotels to tickets and even entertainment – made the trip so enjoyable. All we had to focus on was buying as much merchandise as we could fit into the cases, eating, drinking and watching the game. We were due to take a trip to Sri Lanka for the cricket tour but the Covid virus meant that it was all cancelled a few days beforehand. Elite have processed our refund very efficiently and have been really friendly and professional to deal with throughout. We will be rebooking a similar tour with them as soon as the crisis has passed.

The trip that never was.
It may seem strange leaving a review for a trip we didn’t go on, but we must tell you about our experiences with Elite Sport Travel and particularly John McLellan.
Myself and my wife decided to go to Sri Lanka in March of 2020 to watch England play test match cricket.
We approached Elite Sport Travel to find details of the package to Sri Lanka for the two test tour.
John, our contact with Elite Sport was absolutely fantastic, communication was brilliant , the 4 chosen hotels were top class. Excursions between the test matches were included as was a dedicated car and driver throughout.
Obviously, as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic the trip was unfortunately cancelled just two days before we were due to leave.
However we were never, at any time left in any doubt that we had the full support of Elite Sport Travel, in what were very difficult circumstances for us all.
They have assisted us in gaining a full refund for our trip, for which we are really grateful.
So once again, we cannot recommend Elite Sport Travel highly enough, and must especially thank John McLellen for his absolutely fantastic help.
We hope to book again with Elite Sport Travel when international travel becomes a reality once more.
