Ex-staff member
I used to work for this company, I really believed in everything about the product and I helped promote the produce and manage the sales team.
I regret getting involved because despite many warnings, even from my own staff and customers, I kept believing in the founder and the product.
But, since leaving in March, due to repeated non-payment of myself and my staff, and continual failure of the product, I have since realized that this entire operation was just a scam from the start.
I found out after 8 months that the founder Jase had absolutely no liquidity and no cash / capital to keep the project going, so everything was seemingly fine until there was a poor windfall in Sales in January after Korvato went down in December and shut off their communications after the ORCA Markets scam.
Our entire lead list was stolen from Korvato, although Jason lied about this too until around January when he admitted it to me.
He also admitted that Korvato had actually threatened to sue him, and gagged him with an NDA because of this, and also blocked him from setting up another algo company entirely. This meant he had to shut down AlgoLabs his former company and he basically completely turned on all of them without word. He said that Korvato was run by Jewish investors from Tel Aviv that were 'ghosts' and didn't exist on file. He said they threatened to take his life.
True or not. It was writing on the wall as I started to understand the entire operation was on very fragile ground as he could not legally promote himself on IG or online about Edgefin without being sued by Korvato or their ghost-owners.
When I said we needed to push Ads on META (facebook instagram) and get more leads as Sales had dropped so heavily 80% in 2 months... he said he would sort something out but never did. By February I was borrowing money off my parents to survive and decided to quit.
He kept asking me to stay on and give it another month, 30 more days, 30 more days. I agreed in February and agreed to push, he hired filipino VA's and we pushed for Sales and he got BitAlgo back online. We made a few sales around $15k (3-4 sales), but he still but couldn't pay me anymore than 700 dollars for an entire month of work in March, and then also did not pay any of our filipino staff.
That was the final straw. I quit and he told me he needed to pay his Rent and was locked in and asked me just 30 days more we are so close.
I had to walk away. This walking away may have destroyed the company because I was the only thing left that had any integrity and gave the business any hope as Jason is absolutely useless at managing his clients or responding to people... he also could not and refused to engage in any Sales himself.
Apparently he hired a load more filipinos and lied to them when I left and didn't pay them either. When leaving I suggested he get funding from some clients who were considering being Investors and he was looking into it...
I had worked 12 hours a day for 9 months, and yet between January and March I got paid 2k, 1.5k and 750 dollars. He owes me around $15k plus on paper for unpaid salary and commissions and I could not continue any further I was literally unable to buy food and did not want to get any deeper into this hole
With several of my ex-staff still outstanding 2-3k in commissions unpaid and asking me why hes not replying, Jase deciding it's totally okay to not pay them because 'they need to work harder'. That's not how commissions work. If you agree to pay someone, you pay them.
If you can't afford it, because of your lavish 15k month lifestyle in Miami, then you need to tell people the truth... plus lots of clients wondering what is going on and why the bot isn't on for months, or why they can't get a refund.... you will be outed as a scammer eventually.
I apologize to anyone who has been affected or involved in this for my part.
