Excellent customer support
I was experiencing great difficulty with my new phone abroad, having moved from Apple to Fairphone on an android system. I did this because the Fairphone is more sustainable and environmentally aware, just like Ecotalk. But the tech is all new to me and I'm not very fast on digital solutions.
The team was patient and guided me through unravelling various settings, both by email and directly over the phone. It took time but we finally got there! After the first few days, my phone worked fine. Great personal service.

Making money from a sector that actively destroys the environment is a bit of a conflicting story.
However, my main issue is the same as everybody else getting cut off permanently if you nearly breach your fair usage, limit of 500 GB on an unlimited plan. On top of this with all the other lost features you don’t have like no phone management no roaming no outside phone Sim support as long as you’re willing to go for a 24 month contract. It’s actually cheaper to go with EE direct save yourself a hassle and just go with EE direct as I can’t complain at all with the network coverage.

After the changeover
After the changeover, I had no service. I was assured that all was well their end. I was guided through settings on my phone. I didn’t realise that I had to delete my old provider in SIMS. Very helpful and patient.

So happy I made the switch!
Having been with my old provider for as long as I can remember, I was a bit nervous about changing to a new provider and what it would involve. I made several phone calls to the Ecotalk team to ask various questions beforehand, and every person I spoke to was absolutely lovely! So helpful and really friendly. The switch was straightforward with no problems at all. I’ve been with Ecotalk for about 6 months now and am really happy with it. I love that my money is going towards helping nature and I love the progress updates they provide 🤗🌳

A force for nature
I made the move for ethical reasons but was able to halve my phone bill. Transition to the new SIM and transfer of my phone number was very quick and seamless. I’ve shared your link with friends, family and colleagues. If every person does one more thing to protect our environment, collectively we can be a force for nature.

Excellent customer service. I ran out of data while on an international trip with secondary schools students. I sent them an email in the evening explainingthe urgency, and they topped my account up by the next mid-morning.

Very limited 'unlimited' plan
I bought their unlimited plan and reached the fair use limit. Instead of throttling the data they locked the account. When my data renewed after being billed, it was still locked. I called about this and was told that they can't unlock it, ever, yet still billed me for it. My only option is to cancel with them and move provider, as they literally refuse to allow me to use data I have paid for.

Excellent Customer Service
I was very impressed with Ecotalk. Unusually in this day and age and really helpfully, they have made it very easy to get through to a person on the phone to discuss any issues.
Both myself and my husband have transferred from 3 mobile to Ecotalk. My transfer was not quite that smooth as the first SIM did not arrive. Their customer services team dealt with it really efficiently and it was soon sorted with another SIM quickly sent out.
Both transfers across were straightforward.
The thing is to make sure you get your PAC code from your previous provider if you want to take your phone number with you. We both did this and transferred our numbers over – it took a couple of days from when you supply the PAC code.
We are getting 30GB for £14 a month - more than enough for us- with Ecotalk putting money towards nature restoration, which we think is excellent.

Easy switchover and great price
Amended review to 5 stars as I had a signal problem but this has been resolved using wifi calling. I was quickly contacted by Ecotalk who explained what to do clearly. Very happy I switched!

Very easy to switch to Ecotalk and moving to an eSIM for the first time went smoothly. As I signed up on a Friday afternoon my old number wasn’t switched over until the following Monday but the website made that clear so not a problem. Not the cheapest packages on the market but am very happy to be supporting wildlife instead of shareholder profits - will be recommending Ecotalk to all my family and friends 😀
