Compassionate and Supportive
Compassionate, supportive, and understanding that sometimes a perfect storm of life events happens and you find yourself in an untenable situation. I entered the first call feeling shame and guilt and it ended with me feeling affirmed that I had done my best and sometimes life happens with no judgement but positivity that I had reached out for help and support. I had to phone Ebenegate today due to a deter emailing me a statement stating they had paid nothing which is worrying.
The guy from Ebenegate assured me they were on our list of deters and been paid. He also reassured me about when the IVA finishes in January.

Don't use them for any services whatsoever.
My IVA was transferred from Hanover Insolvency to Ebenegate some years ago. After 6 years, my IVA should be complete. The final payment left my bank account on 02/02/2026 and yet Ebenegate's portal is conveniently showing that they never received it.
I have emailed them to ask for a letter to prove my IVA is now paid off and closed (to which they have ignored) and I need this letter in order to prove to mortgage lenders that it is no longer active.
There are no contact details on the portal and everything tells you to email a generic email address but they don't reply.
I'll be taking things to the Insolvency Service to make a formal complaint and take futher action.

No GDPR!!!!
I’m extremely disappointed with the service I’ve received. The company claims to contact creditors on your behalf, but in my experience, this simply doesn’t happen. Despite me repeatedly calling and emailing them, creditors are either not contacted or ignore the communications entirely. I end up having to chase down the creditors myself every single month, which completely defeats the purpose of paying for their service.
To make matters worse, I was sent highly sensitive information relating to another IVA client. This is a severe GDPR violation and raises major red flags about how carelessly they handle personal data.
To top it all off, after months of me having to call in to fix their mistakes, their staff constantly ask me to leave positive reviews mentioning them by name. From now on, when I receive terrible customer service and they fail to deliver what I paid for, I am going to start calling out those specific representatives by name in my reviews. Avoid this company—poor communication, zero action, and reckless data handling.
