I did the Ancestry DNA test, was not was advertised or what i wanted. No mention of ethnicity or country breakdown like other DNA tests. Meaningless results, the ancestry map shows i'm European.... Mehr ansehen

I paid for an Extended Coeliac Panel (16 markers), however due to an error by the laboratory, the full test was not performed.
As a direct result, I attended a private medical consultation costing £200 without complete results, meaning the appointment could not be properly used. I also had to pay for Special Delivery twice to send samples.
While the company acknowledged their mistake, they refused to take responsibility for the financial impact caused and offered only a 10% refund (£9.50) on the test.
I find this very disappointing. When a paid medical service is not delivered correctly, the consequences can be significant — especially when it affects a child’s health and leads to additional costs.
I would have expected a more responsible and fair approach in resolving this situation.

I would like to clarify that my review reflects my personal experience and the impact this situation had on me.
While I acknowledge that the error was eventually corrected and the test completed, this happened only after I had already attended a private medical consultation without the full results.
As a direct consequence, I incurred additional costs and inconvenience which were not addressed. This is the main concern I raised.
I understand your Terms and Conditions; however, from a customer perspective, when a service is not delivered correctly at the expected time, the resulting impact can be significant.
My review is not about whether the test was eventually completed, but about how the situation affected me and how the outcome was handled.
I appreciate your response and hope this feedback is taken into consideration for future cases.

Contact with the customer service team was really good, they were there to assist in any queries and responeded in a timely manner. We were testing internationally, which I expected to be difficult given time differences but the whole process was quick, despite an issue with one of the samples needing to be retaken.

I had a great experience with EasyDNA from start to finish. The ordering process was straightforward, the instructions were clear, and the sample collection was quick and easy to do at home. I have a silkie chicken, which are really hard to sex, so I ordered an avian NDA test.
I don't have a printer so I paid extra to get the printed forms sent to me. When they didn't arrive a couple of weeks later (a system glitch) I messaged them. The company was super apologetic and sent them 24 hours tracked (I'd opted for just a stamp when I paid).
I got an email a couple of days later to say they'd received the sample, and today I got my results.
Other than the hiccup with the postage, the whole process was easy and straightforward. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Good customer support, my queries were addressed quickly. The samples do go from South Africa to the lab in the Uk so takes a while but received my results within 2 weeks of dispatching samples.

The experience of a DNA test is a daunting one at that, but to have everything explained once ordered with the information letter received gave me confidence to send it out.
I received the test results a week after Easy DNA confirmed the post had arrived.
The resulting information was to a high standard but not of understanding in layman terms .
I was a little unsure of it to begin with but realised there was a box with a percentage figure. This was what I was looking for. Not too difficult an experience overall and would recommend their service

communications were very pleasant, courteous and easy to follow and follow-ups were timely. issues there were that 1. the website only allowed me to purchase 2 tests when i only wanted one, but i was told the excess had been refunded and 2. the documentation had a few slight issues, such as being for a US audience and requiring information be duplicated several times, but as i say, customer service was nice and the postal turnaround was fast. i used royal mail special delivery as a return service and opted to have my results sent by email to avoid extra costs in that regard. i am a private individual and i requested my own personal short tandem repeats (str's).

Used EasyDNA for paternity test (EasyDNA.fi) which is the same as EasyDNA UK). Tests came home to me one week late which can happen. I then sent the samples to the UK (you have to pay postage yourself). This is where the nightmare started.
The swab test I sent got stuck in customs and EasyDNA told me I have to pay the customs fee myself, I found this utterly bizarre but eventually agreed to pay half the cost as I just wanted the results. Despite this, the swab test is 3 weeks(!) later still with customs. EasyDNA claims to have paid but when I reach out to Royal Mail, they say a payment has never been made.
I sent the swab test to the address they stated in the UK, addressed to a facility they call EasyDNA. Upon checking, this company was dissolved years ago and doesn’t exist. They claim to operate under a US entity. It’s funny that when you research about them and on LinkedIn, you almost find nothing.
The customer service has continuously been slow to respond, when they do so, they say they’re really sorry. Well, if you’re really sorry, why not just pay the customs fee?
I will probably never get the results from this company and I’m worried from a privacy aspect that I ever sent them my DNA.
Utterly bizarre experience. DNA testing is stressful as it is and I will have this reported.
UPDATE: The swab test came back to my address in Sweden, they never paid for it as they claimed for weeks. Everyone in my family then found out I had taken a DNA-test.

I ordered food allergy test and food suggestion report. After they receive the sample from my dog, they emailed me saying that the food suggenstion report was only available in US so they refund me. Then, in the next email they said they mistakenly refund full price to me so asked me to pay back using a link. However, the link did not work so I sent an email asking them to look into it. Then no replies for days so I sent email again. I got reply with rather angry tone which saying "we already refund you and we need you to pay us back". first ignoring my previous email and then this. so rude.
