Very good gave me a great cheap insurance for my car

At first I thought it was a gimmick - until I tried to get car insurance being over 80 years old.
Because DriveScore proved that not all older people are bad drivers.
DriveScore gave me the most competative quote of all the the big names.
It's a no brainer.

After driving Miss Daisy around for about 3 months. Getting gold medals on practically every drive. Maybe 1 event for "hard braking" because someones pulled out of a junction. Or "fast acceleration" Which cant be helped if you are in a powerful car and youre joining a motorway in rush house. I was looking forward to seeing how much i could save on the insurance. After all that. There was no difference in my renewal quote from my existing insurer to what the panel were quoting me, most of the quotes were actually more than the renewal. It was a complete waste of time and effort. Ended up deleting my account and removing the app.

The app does not take into account that my electric vehicle has regenerative braking.
If it works on the warnings given by the car for lane encroachment and leaving the lane the warnings are very generous and there is no danger.

Drive carefully, get rewarded.
Drive poorly, get penalised.
Good app that let's you observe your driving habits.

Is very easy to find evething

This app works away in the background and logs your driving with nothing for you to do. It gives you an insight into your habits and hopefully a better driver.

It has helped me to be more confident with driving (as someone who's just passed their test)

Keeps listing me as a passenger trip because someone messaged my phone. Doesnt mean I looked at it or picked phone up. Frustrating

Validation process doesn't work.
I've scrubbed my account and tried again with a new account

Good to keep track of my driving not only for insurance purposes but as a personal pat on the back.

Needs improvement though.

Cornering is a constant issue due to the location of my home, dodgy roads and winding single tracks. The sat nav or whatever system they are using doesn’t account for this.

Fuel costs. Would be useful to add your own make model to get a more accurate picture. There is no way I spend so little as the app suggests.

Seems reliable generally, though not all trips seem to be recorded.

Love checking my drive score knowing it’s going to help find cheaper insurance, and of course it makes you feel good seeing a high score and no incidents; makes you want to keep it high and incident free. I wear my phone crossbody though and sometimes it registers as using my phone, which I absolutely do not do…you can leave a note as to why it got flagged but I doubt they’ll read it. Also got my RAC and other stuff through the app.

It was going OK and I had completed my first 150 miles but all that driving information has disappeared and I am back to the beginning. The app says it has not information holding. So I feel that it is a waste of time.
