Turned up exactly on time. Did a great job keeping me informed as they went. Great service and I am already going to recommend them to one of my mates.

Great service came out to us on a Sunday. Did what was needed and gave us the number of someone else who could do further work for us to get the van through its MOT. Happy with ther service.

I never write reviews but I have to share my experience with others as the DPF Dr (Collin) saved my C-Max. I’ll give the back story as well as context is everything.

I have had my 2013 C-Max for approximately 3 years bought second hand. In all that time it never felt like a 2.0 TDCI, drive ok but no ‘punch’ like it should have. Performance declined about 3 months ago and then the engine malfunction light came on. I took it to my garage which I have used for several years. They said it was a DPF issue and I knew that wasn’t good and was going to be expensive! Sensors checked and one changed, thought the issue was solved. It wasn’t. Started going down the ‘money pit’ route, new DPF suggested! We needed to get the car back on the road asap. Part ordered. 6 weeks on still no part, still on back order! We were waiting to get a £1200+ issue sorted and it was starting to feel like it was never going to get done. Spoke to a few other garages and they said they have to inspect and most mentioned a clean (which had already been done!)

Researching online saw DPF Dr and gave him a call last Tuesday. Collin answered said he’d call in later to diagnose as he was off to a job near to where I live. No booking fee and was happy to talk through the process and answer all my questions.

Collin turned up and got under the car and did some quick diagnostics. Diagnosed the issue (vaporiser) and talked me through everything to do with it. Collin diagnosed the issue in minutes compared with the garage (who I’m not knocking by the way-they just aren’t experts). He then said he could clean the part but it might be worth replacing to do a proper job. He found the part online and sent me the link to purchase there and then. At this point I was amazed at how easily Collin had been able to diagnose a fault which had baffled my garage for so long.

As it was a bigger job than a usual clean, Collin told me when he would back and called the next day to confirm.

The results: Yesterday Collin and his son returned and got to work. 2.5hrs or so later, talking through anything which I wanted explaining and answering any questions (I like to try and learn if I can), the car was, as Collin said, like a new car!! I took it out for a test drive whilst they waited and sure enough plumes of smoke were cleared from the DPF exactly as he said. Performance was unreal and responsive. Engine sounds different already.

Collin also talked me through how to do an oil change, which he recommended, and showed me exactly what to do filter wise etc. this was something I had been planning to do so it was great to have it talked through by an expert.

In short-DPF Dr is friendly, courteous and very knowledgable. He will fix your DPF issues or, and this is really important nowadays, NOT waste your time and money.

Sorry for the long review but context is important and hopefully it’ll give someone else the confidence to get in touch when you have major DPF issues. It seems that Collin genuinely wants to sort the issues which these DPF’s cause for people. Amazing service and 100% recommend him to anyone. Thanks again Collin.

Collin responded to my email about a Dpf problem I had on my Skoda late at night and arrived the next morning to help. I was on holiday in Devon and really needed a quick turnaround, and he diagnosed so quickly and really knew the issues with the engine. Massively appreciated. Thank you.

Came out on a Sunday morning to what he said was “one of the worst blockages”
Up in the 1000+ region, engine would cut out after 10 seconds,
He persisted and plugged away and within 2.5 hours the van was up and running again and driving like normal.
Would recommend him to anyone who is travelling down the DPF wormhole 😂

To start with, Colin replied immediately and turned up the following morning to clean the DPF in my car and clear the dash warning. That lasted a couple of weeks and then more warnings came up and car went into limp mode. I called Colin out again and eventually he cleaned more of the system and turned the warning off. I paid cash this time with a promise of a receipt when he got home, which never arrived. A couple weeks later, the DPF warning is back and after numerous attempts to contact, he’s completely dropped off the face of the earth, no replies to phone numbers, Instagram messages, whats app etc. So I still have a faulty car after paying all that money and he’s clearly not prepared to honour the warranty that he claimed to provide.
I wish I went straight to a proper garage in the first place now.

Colin came out to our campsite on a Sunday morning to look at our DFR/EGR issue! After cleaning both, and coming out for a drive to look at live data and to make sure the engine was running ok, he recommended going to see someone sooner rather than later to sort the EGR out, and said that the issue would more than likely come back without addressing the EGR. The issue did come back, and his local recommendation to remedy the EGR came out the next day. No lights & no issues for the 4 hour journey home. Excellent service, and a fantastic knowledge of modern engine quirks. Thank you Colin!

Called late yesterday afternoon with a problem… the guys came out at 1400hrs the following day… we were stuck down in Devon on holiday with a vehicle problem… they came and sorted it out with no fuss at all… very knowledgeable guys… would highly recommend.

I have had dpf Amber warnings which I have cleared but come back. Then a red warning and engine light.
I called Colin and he did exactly what he said he would do. Came to my work, ran diagnostic, explained all the warnings on my Jaguar and fixed my car.
Dpf cleared, lights turned off and a car that is running smoothly.

After 3 visits to a VW main dealer they finally diagnosed a blocked DPF. Their solution was to fit a new DPF at a cost of almost £3k!!! DPFDR came out to my home and cleaned the DPF for a tenth of that cost and the car is now running perfectly. Collin couldn't have been more professional, he explained what was the problem, the fix and showed me how it was going at every stage. I'd recommend him if you have any problems with your diesel.

Answered the phone straight away (in the evening), came the next day and saved us an absolute fortune! Couldn't recommend enough. I now have a happy DPF and a happy car with a happy owner.

After breaking down in McDonald's and asking a few people for help. Colin and his college came over and offered to help. Not only did he recharge my battery. He also checked it over for me. What can I say? Saved me a lot of time off the road with a full dpf filter on my Land Rover and probably £3700 less than the dealer would have nailed me for! Great guys who know what they are doing. Loads of great advice and tips. I’d highly recommend them and will be using them again

So we called Collin on Saturday evening after the car went into limp mode with the DPF SERVICE error on the dashboard.
We feared the worst and expected ££££ major repair bill.
Google is your friend and the DPF DR was high on the suggestion list.
1 call and the appointment arranged.
Collins arrived on Sunday as promised and found readings of over 60.
2 hours of doing his thing and readings now of less than 3.
Car running better than it has for ages.

After a MOT and service i was told that the DFF needed cleaning was quoted very high at my garage and said i be without the car for 3 days so i got in touch with DPF DR and collin came out to me explained what work was going to be done and explained everything,it didn't work so had to have a new unit he sent me the link and came back to fit it when it came ,he was very professional and saved me from a big expense from the garage ,I highly recommend him

Colin was great to start, replied to my query very quickly and came the next day to action the clean. There was a fault with a sensor which Colin gave me a link to order and left me all set up to replace the part. When the part arrived and I fitted it the fault came back. After several times chasing Colin it is clear that he is not interested in coming back to help fix this and I'm left with a car still not working and will have to pay somewhere else to get my car running again.
