Excellent Service

Excellent Service. Ordered blinds online for the office and we received them with 2 working days. Customer service is excellent- they advised when our order was dispatched! Highly recommend.

Very good quality blinds

Very good quality blinds, service I received was spot on couldnt fault it. Ordered mix of blackout and dimout about 12 in total all fitted as planned used them everyday. About 6years old now still going strong. Would recommend dotcom blinds to anyone.

Very Satisfied

I found the sample service, ordering, delivery and quality of product to be excellent, can't be faulted. Delivery of made to measure curtains was inside 2 weeks, well packaged. I won't hesitate to use dotcomblinds again or recommend to family and friends.

Lovely finish

A great company to deal with. The sample service was great to be able to ensure the colour was right for the rooms. Only had to wait a week for the wooden venetians but the roller blinds came in 2 days. Great finished result and glad you could actually speak to someone when I had a few questions which you can't with most online companies!

AVOID AVOID AVOID!!!!

Terrible company.

Order arrived a completely different colour as described. Also the head rail was another completely different colour to the slats. I ordered brushed gold but the slats where copper and the head rail was beige. When contacting them they have a load of excuses like I should’ve ordered a sample but that doesn’t explain away the head rail that does match the slats. Their excuse was, we try match it you the nearest colour. It may as well have been luminous green. I mean come on!!!! The site doesn’t explain this and it isn’t at all clear that colours may not be what you order. There’s a statement in the small print terms and cons which they are of course happy to send you. It’s misleading and they’re selling not fit for purpose blinds to unsuspecting customers like me. Joe at DotCom accepted no responsibility whatsoever and offered no resolve. STEER CLEAR and spend your money elsewhere. They’re rip off merchants!!

We recommend ordering a free sample of the slat to see it in person before buying, and this would have helped you decide whether the brushed gold slat met your expectations. According to our systems and your own admission, you didn't order a sample.

Our headrails are colour matched to our slats, and this is stipulated in our terms and conditions. Multiple slat colours are often matched to a single headrail colour, and this is common practice across our industry. If this is a particular concern we'd be able to supply further information, however, hundreds of these blinds have been sold and we have not encountered any issues before.

Not fit for purpose blackout roller blind

They supplied a blackout roller blind. It was immediately obvious that it was too short. The blind was 37 mm narrower than the recess. Although you need a bit of space for the brackets it was not fit for purpose for being a blackout blind. They said it was ok but my other blinds fit perfectly with only a small gap between the blind and the walls. So appalling quality and appalling customer service. I wish I'd read the other reviews first. Don't buy from them, go elsewhere.
They have responded but nothing they say changes the fact that their product is too narrow and not fit for purpose. If they hade made it 12mm wider it would have been much better. I rrprat again that my other blinds fit much better and i wish i knew who supplied them. I repeat that they are an appalling company.

Hi, thank you for your review.

As discussed when you got in touch, the roller blind was made correctly for your recess. The fabric itself is blackout but there is no way to get the fabric any wider due to the mechanism used to operate the blind. As a result, the fabric will be 35mm smaller overall than the given width of the blind on all roller blinds. This is due to the thickness of the mechanism, the pin-end and the brackets.

Should the blind have been made so that the fabric itself matched your width measurement, it wouldn't have fitted in the recess when the mechanism and brackets were added.

Roller blinds, components and deductions differ from supplier to supplier and so we can not speak for the other blinds in your window, but I can confirm the blind you received is correct and any remake would have resulted in the same sized fabric.

Right size guarantee terms are not made…

Right size guarantee terms are not made clear before purchasing. Default position of the company is to mis trust their customers vs help delivery the product they purchased.

Hi there, I'm sorry to hear you are not satisfied with the service we provided. The terms of the Right Size Guarantee are clearly displayed and the link to all of this information is available whenever the Right Size Guarantee is mentioned, including at the point of purchase.

We don't mistrust customers but please understand that we must work within our terms and conditions. The Right Size Guarantee covers one blind only and I understand you wished to use it for two. Unfortunately this isn't something we are able to do, however you are still welcome to begin the process to get one of the blinds remade.

If I could give them 0 stars, I would. I ordered 3 bifold blinds from this company a couple of months ago. When I was compairing prices on different sites. I decided to order from Dotcom. Unfortunately, although I had searched on their website in inches, when I went back into the site I did not notice that it had automatically reverted to centimetres. Consequently, when the blinds came they were ridiculously small and no good. When I contacted them to query it, they were most unhelpful and said if I had paid the extra 'insurance' fee to them when ordering, then they would have replaced them. I did not even see that option but if they need a cover fee to get them right, then they are obviously doing something wrong. I would advise any prospective customers to shop elsewhere. This company are a load of charlatans. I now cannot afford to buy more blinds. Almost £200 wasted.

As explained when you got in touch, your order was placed in centimetres and so it was made in centimetres. Due to the bespoke nature of our products, the responsibility is on the customer to ensure their measurements are correct. This is because once the blinds have been made to your specific requirements we can't take them back, replace them or refund them.

We offered you a discount should you wish to reorder, however I understand you did not wish to take us up on this offer. Whilst I appreciate making this kind of mistake is frustrating, please appreciate that as the error here lies with you in this instance and our response would be the same with any other company in our industry.

Your order was delivered to you 3 days after the 25 working day lead time. Whilst I appreciate this is slightly beyond the quoted lead time, as explained in our conversation on the phone, the shipment of stock was delayed entering the country, and this had a knock-on effect getting your order out to you.

Whilst we do everything we can to get orders out within the quoted lead times, sometimes last-minute delays happen that are out of our hands and unfortunately, it will take a little longer for your order to reach you. We will contact customers as soon as we are made aware of these issues, but sometimes they can occur quite last minute, as was the case here.

I appreciate a goodwill gesture was discussed, however, upon checking your order we saw a maximum discount had already been applied to your order and so we are unable to apply any further discount.

Bad Service - Unclear on Insurance guarantee

Update, so a replacement blind has been sent, but has arrived damaged. Am awaiting instruction on what to do next.

Very disappointing, no quality controls in place.

You get what you pay for I suppose. Ordered 3 blinds for bifolds at a drop of 201cm. Waited 5 weeks they arrived and had only a drop of 21cm. Told human error when entering dimensions into machine but no one double checked or checked after build to make sure order was correct, they even put 201cm on the bag they put them in very poor!!!!! Total waste of time got a refund went elsewhere.
