I had some therapy and it was lovely but after I cancelled - and confirmed with chris it was cancelled... a few months later they just started charging my credit card again! And now they won't answer my e-mails or messages. I had to cancel my credit card to get the payments to stop. So unless you want to cancel your credit card when you stop this therapy, please don't give them your number!
Unfortunately they are not replying to my emails, and their help page is broken. I requested a refund of my month's subscription on the day after I signed up when I found out that the therapists had very limited availability. They have not replied to that request despite several attempts on my part to reach them. Buyer beware.
Wish I could rate less than 1 star. Signed my son up for online therapy. My son wasn't using it anymore so we cancelled. Message on website confirmed it was cancelled but we received no email confirmation. Then lo and behold credit card was charged another $468 dollars. Tried to contact domental again but guess what? Not able to send them an email site kept saying it timed out would not let us send. And no phone number to contact them. What a total scam should be reported to the better business bureau or the FTC.
Federal law requires online merchants to provide “simple mechanisms” for a consumer to cancel a subscription service.
After reading the online reviews presented by DoMental I was excited and thought I could get some help? I was able to chose a therapist after reading their specialties. I paid by entrance and received message on their app from a therapist I did not choose. Say She was there 10 minutes before. I left a message for her, 11 am friday. I also left a message for the help or problem solver. He never responded. and the Therapist only responded on Monday. The problem solver sent me a message this afternoon, Monday and asked how my first session was, obviously never seeing my "help" message. The did return my deposit without and problem and never an explanation why I did not get the therapist I requested. This encounter left little room for trust which is very important in a therapist. Chris? Thanks for returning my deposit. You did not respond to my questions and obviously never read them. I think this online therapy is a scam and you have pretty much proven this to me. This was my third try over a 4 year period and will be my last. Honesty is the best policy and if the therapist and the online company cannot be honest there is no trust. Roger JamesChris? First off, this service is not for anyone outside of American timezones. Do not waste your money. Whenever my 'therapist' would respond it would be at 4am. I wake up at 7-8am and would send messages to try and talk before work (around 2-3pm in San Fransisco) and get no response until the next day at 4am.
Secondly, don't bother messaging customer service through the app, it is uselessless and you will never get a response. If you need a refund you need to contact their help email address (which I would include in this review if I could) - it took about 2 business days for a response to come through, which was just a confirmation of my refund.
Finally, you are charged in USD and refunded in USD. If the american dollar has gone down since you signed up, you will not get all your money back.

Absolute TRASH! I submitted payment, got matched and it took almost 30 hours for me to get contacted when I was prompted it would only take a couple hours. I have tried sending emails to the help desk to request a refund. I was again prompted I’d hear back in less than 24 hours. It has now been well over 24 hours and NOTHING!

I'm writing this so no one else will have to go through what I did on this app. I worked with my Therapist Lisa for 6 months. She was wonderful. I was a mess. I couldn't walk outside I couldn't stop crying because of something that happened to me She gave me my life back. We worked very hard together to achieve some major breakthroughs. On Dec 20 she texted me that she received a message that Domental had told her they were dropping her and that was her last day. She was just as upset as I was. She knew how much work I still needed .She seemed to be in shock herself but what could she do. She was able to get on the app before they shut her down and say it was an honor for her her to be my Therapist. Next day I get a message from customer service apologizing for the INCONVENIENCE but Lisa was not working there anymore. Well Domental my mental health is not a inconvenience and you messed with it. If Lisa did not give me a heads up I would not have known what was going on. Now I am in worse shape then before I started with them having the rug pulled out from me like that. They were cold and cruel on how they dealt with this. I hope no else has to go through the same pain I did.

I've battled anxiety and depression my whole life. Last year I tried DoMental and found a therapist I liked.
I signed up and gave my paying information to pay for ONE month of this online therapy.
I had been with bh online therapy and wanting to try DoMental.
After the first three weeks I decided DoMental was nothing extraordinary and I would not commit to another month.
Unbeknownst to me, DoMental had stored my payment information and I paid $189 for a second month of therapy whether I wanted this or not.
I contacted support and was told "sorry, your payment was already processed and there is nothing we can do. Enjoy another month of therapy."
I didn't sign in and have any communication with the therapist at all the second month. And, I assumed through contacting support that the auto pay that they helped sign themselves up to, auto pay from my account would stop.
Nope, the third month rolls along and they hit my account again!!
I am a single mom who struggles with depression. DoMental helped themselves to my hard earned money and I'm very angry about this.
Update:
To the reply from DoMental. I wish trustpilot allowed attachments to be uploaded with this comment. I have my Aug. Sept. and Oct. bank statements and each month DoMental took $188.00 from my account.
Not just one time like you've dared to state. Three months, three times you took $188.00 from my bank account.

I asked customer service rep "Chris" to tell me the educational and experience background of the therapist I had been assigned to. He ignored me for several days. I asked again, and he said that he did not have that information. He would need to get back to me. After waiting again a few days,ll without a response, I contacted him and asked for my subscription to be cancelled and my money refunded ded. He said I needed to make that request to a different address. Within the stated 72 hr limit. "Jessica" approved my refund, but told me it would take 2 weeks. We shall see. I never got anything resembling an answer to my question.

Don’t waste your money! Every bit of “help” this “therapist” offers can be found for free with a quick internet search or in a very cheap “self help” book. She had no desire to help me or really listen to me at all. One of my main issues I was seeking help for is insomnia. She asked me if I had a routine before I go to bed. I explained to her my very specific routine that I do and gave here all the details. She then repeatedly kept telling me i needed to adopt a routine before I go to bed. I don’t know why it was so hard for her to understand I already do that and it isn’t working. If she would have taken a 5 second break from dealing out cheap self help advice and listened to me she should have been able to figure it out. When I told her, one of the reason I struggle to sleep is because I have nightmares related to some pretty bad things that had happened to me, she started to pressure me to go into details about my past trauma. Anyone who has AMY psychological training knows you don’t try to force someone you just met into telling you the worst things that have happened to them the second you meet them. It can be very triggering, and even retraumatizing. Then I get an automated message on Sunday when i tried to message her, saying basically she doesn’t work on Sundays. OK normally I would be completely cool with that. I never expect anyone from be at my beck and call, and respect that everyone needs some time for themselves, but when one of an apps main selling points is “24/7 access”, i think these “therapist” should at least tell you up front the days they aren’t working so you know and arent caught off guard. The last issue I have with them is, when you first sign up, you are given a chose of paying for a year, 6 months, 3 months or a month (no week to week payment like most in person therapists offer). I signed up for and started to use this ap on Friday. I sent an email on Monday s requesting to cancel the services because i was displeased with my therapist (and gave a detailed description of the problems I had with the therapist the only reply i got was “your subscription will be cancelled). So basically I paid for a month, only got 3 days service” and left with more issues than I started with, and it was clear they did not care because they got their money. It really is sad that this is being sold as the future of therapy, cause this ain’t it!

My counselor Brittney R. Is a gem! I feel like I can open up to her and tell her anything. She is very sweet and always helps me work through things. I so appreciate her.
