I almost certainly got a virus from one (or more) of the three pdfs I downloaded from this website. Now, the pdfs worked perfectly and saved me a lot of money. I just hope my anti-virus protection is able to properly defend my PC. I know that copyright is a problem, but there should be few enough people that use this website anyway, those who probably weren't buying the book anyway.

Really, do it at your own peril, I am not sure my computer is truly cleansed. Downloaded the files about 1 month ago, and had a virus scan find stuff a little while later (even though the files themselves showed nothing when I individually scanned them). I don't believe I would have gotten any viruses from any other place in the meantime. And, again, I had a virus show up that was caught by my protection about a month later, prompting me to write this review.

downloaded one pdf file and virustotal scan seems to be clear, if you take time to read negative reviews you, then you can notice that they are exclusively written by people who complain about copyright infringement, and only then they complain of "malware" which might, or might not be present

I’m a broke student and I’ve downloaded 3-4 books off this site. No signs of viruses and it’s way faster than other sites I’ve tried for the same purpose.

This site is providing illegal downloads of copyrighted material. They provide no facility to request removal of illegal material. They are stealing from authors and publishers. Google should remove this site.

I'm a broke ass student and I fully expected to get a virus but instead got a free pdf of the whole textbook I needed, in English. Just had to wait in a 90 second queue.

I'm a user, this is a good site. It does damage authors via copyright infringement. However if you cannot use kindle or buy a digital copy in the limited websites available to purchase ebooks. This is a great alternative that you will have to bend your ethical compass for.

This site appears to be run by unethical individuals.
They are violating copyright and despite numerous requests are yet to take down my book which has been uploaded illegally.

We will continue to pursue this matter and seek legal redress.

Scammer. Publishes books without authors permission and then installs malware on your device to boot. I was tempted and paid the price. Avoid.

I can really see how a site like this might hurt authors, but this is one of the few sites I've found that have a very wide range of books, and don't do any harm to the user. You don't need to create an account to use this, and it's pretty hassle-free, as well as not having any cookie popups or huge video ads.

Sketchy site but found no virus on the pdf file on the book or on my computer with antidefender. Checked both the site and the downloaded file with VirusTotal.com and both of em came up with no virus. Sketchy yes but works.

It worked! Found a very special book that I couldn't find in any other place.

I was nervous, but it worked! I had already purchased this book, but due to technical issues I was not able to access it. I couldn't afford to pay again through a different route, so I tried this. I read a previous review about downloading the converted pdf instead of the original pdf and that was great advice. Whew! Last thing I wanted was a virus or something. I'm so glad this risk was worth it! This is legit.

If a book is required for a college course it shouldn't be $100+ dollars. The business practices of textbook publishers is greedy. Got my free books on this site no problem.

This is a criminal website belonging to an organised crime gang.

This clearly a pirate site.

They deliver books that are copyrighted without the authors permission. They are offering to provide you with a books written and published without you having to pay for it (and without the authors and publishers getting any money for it).

It takes several years to write and publish a valuable textbook, and the authors get nothing when pirates like this provide the books for free. (Making you a thief and pirate as well when ""Take" a book for "free").

Think about this: When you "Students" that download these books from DOKUMEN for free go and get a job, I hope your employer inflicts you with "wage theft" (i.e., refuses to pay you for work you have done).

Then you will know what it's like when you have stolen books by downloading them for free from this thieving site,

And Beware. As they say "There is generallly 'No Free Lunch".

The pirates that run this site do it for a reason. You may pay later by having your info shared other bad actors that can create digital havoc in your e-world (Malware, identity theft, etc?)

Is getting a "free book" really worth this risk?

Signed up for Trust Pilot just to write this review. I sat for a few minutes contemplating downloading this file hoping if I choose to download, that my Norton will detect a virus if present, since their are not many reviews and fewer good reviews, but I went ahead and downloaded. I received the full textbook as a PDF for free with no problems and didn’t even have to make an account. My experience was great.

Got the book I wanted, no viruses (I checked the URLs using VirusTotal and then scanned my computer and the file using Avast and Malwarebytes afterwards). Didn't have to enter any login or anything to download. I get piracy isn't great for authors, but it's a lifesaver when you're a uni student and your university dgaf when it comes to getting the books you need in a timely manner or providing online versions for when you're trying to complete work over the breaks at home.

If I could award 10 stars I would. I'm a teacher and as a teacher there are certifications that are costly and the books needed to prepare for those exams are expensive too, with this website I was able to get the knowledge for free! Thank you! Peace and Love
