Great Website and Purchasing Experience!

Website was easy to navigate and I found the item I needed very quickly and it was exactly as described on the site. Item was shipped the next day. Follow up from the Company as a first time buyer was greatly appreciated. I would highly recommend the company.

Very late shipment, lack of communication and customer service

Initially we placed the order, paid the full amount without hesitation and got the products 46 DAYS after we sent the funds.

Then, when we finally got the products we were missing two items, they’ve also decided that they were going to deduct $250 from the full amount we sent because we were not going to be able to sell one product we ordered first. They said “it was ready to ship” within 2 days but then, when we changed the product or ASIN they took almost 50 days to send it.

Now, my seller account has been deactivated and I’ve been asking them for some documentation to prove authenticity of the products and they’re not even responding my emails anymore.

I thought we were going to have a very good business relationship but it’s impossible to do so with this situation.

For clarity, at the time your order was placed (Tuesday evening), 10 units were available in stock, which was clearly displayed on the product page. A quantity of 20 was selected, and our website shows a backorder notification before the item is added to cart, requiring acknowledgment before proceeding.

The additional stock arrived to us within the displayed 3 business day supplier timeframe, and your order was dispatched immediately upon receipt.

I ordered a kitchen mixer tap from them on Tuedsday 12 January 2026 and it arrived in Booragoon, a suburb of Pert WA, on Thursday morning.
Thoroughly and safely packed and in excellent. condition. Suplied at the price stipulated in their advert -- no hasles.

My Story with Direct Wholesale

This was my first experience with Direct Wholesale Supplies, intial concern was the order is big, and 40 different products i need for my project, and may be an issues with correct items and timely delivery. Wow, I was pleasantly surprised with, great ordering system, prompt reply, more importantly quick delivery and great packaging, I am a royal customer now, and would highly recommend Direct Wholesale. Misleading Delivery Information and Unreasonable Cancellation Fee

I am writing to provide an honest review of a recent purchase of a split system air conditioner through the Direct Wholesale website and the subsequent handling of my request for cancellation and refund.

I was comparing several retailers for the purchase and delivery of a split system air conditioner. On the product page, the item displayed a dropdown stating “Brisbane Click and Collect Only.” As with other retailers I was comparing, I understood this to refer to item availability and expected that any delivery costs would be calculated during checkout if delivery were available.

When I proceeded to checkout, a green banner appeared stating “You’ve got free delivery.” At the delivery selection stage, I was presented with multiple options, including Free, Road Express, and Premium, each with associated pricing. I selected Free delivery.

The checkout process then required entry of delivery details, including delivery instructions and “authority to leave,” which I completed. The checkout was finalised successfully.

Following this, I received:
• An order confirmation email stating free delivery to my address, and
• An invoice stating free delivery to my address.

A few days later, I was contacted by the company and advised that delivery was not available for this product, and queried as to why I had entered delivery instructions. I explained the checkout process and the documentation I had received. I was advised that delivery was not included and that the “Click and Collect Only” dropdown on the product page should have made this clear.

As I was physically unable to collect the item or arrange third-party pickup, I requested a refund. I was advised that a refund would incur a 10% cancellation fee, despite the circumstances outlined above. Following further discussion, a 5% cancellation fee was offered.

I am concerned that this type of transaction may not comply with the Australian Consumer Law (ACL), in particular:
• Section 18 – Prohibition on misleading or deceptive conduct
The checkout process, delivery options, confirmation email, and invoice all represented that free delivery to my address was included. This information directly influenced my decision to complete the purchase.
• Section 29 – False or misleading representations about services
Presenting “free delivery” as a selectable option and confirming it in official order documentation for a product that does not support delivery may amount to a misleading representation about the service being provided.

Given these representations, my understanding and actions were reasonable.

Charging a cancellation fee in circumstances where the purchase was made based on misleading information is, in my view, unreasonable and inconsistent with fair consumer practice.

Positive note: After making a three-hour drive to the warehouse to collect the order, the warehouse staff member extremely helpful and professional.

We would like to clarify that this product is clearly labelled as Click & Collect Only in multiple places prior to checkout. The product description explicitly states:

“Only available by Click and Collect from our Brisbane Warehouse. Please do not place order if you cannot collect as cancelled orders will incur order cancellation fee.”

In addition, the dropdown you refer to appears under the heading “Pickup”, further indicating that this product is not available for delivery.

These details are provided so customers can make an informed decision before completing their purchase. Our order cancellation fee is also outlined in our terms and is consistent with standard practice across wholesale suppliers.

That said, we do appreciate you taking the time to share your experience, and we’re pleased to hear your positive feedback about our warehouse team — we will certainly pass that on.
