Wonderful experience with a fun, knowledgeable guide

Different types of restaurants. Pacing was excellent as was the information imparted.

Our tour guide was exceptional. She educated us not only on the food but also the culture, history and architecture of the area. We were totally pleased with the experience, despite the rainy weather. It was great!

I’m an old man, been everywhere, done everything …this was the best museum experience I’ve ever had. Private entrance into el Prado an hour before public opening, guide and ten of us in near silence and mostly emptiness…guide chose our viewing, but no complaints. Superb choices, excellent descriptions, stories, backstories, amazing time “alone” with masterpieces normally viewed with a few hundred of your best friends. After an hour and a half, guide departed and we remained for another couple of hours, still magic experience , but now with crowds.

Tour was fine however you charged me twice and wouldn’t reimburse. Will not recommend

We used Devour Tours for a food tour in Madrid. The food was delicious and our guide was so full of information on the culture of the city. Totally surpassed our expectations!

Our tour of the taverns and authentic tapas bars in Barcelona was wonderful. Officially, it is the Tapas, Taverns & History Tour. Our guide was super friendly and extremely knowledgeable, making it a great experience!

Our experience with our guide was wonderful. He was friendly, very good at explaining things, especially the tapas and flamenco, including their history and what to look for. He was a great conversationalist, and showed us many things that we never would have seen without him. He loves being a native of Seville and showing it to the uninitiated. Bravo! If you ever get the chance, by all means take a Devour tour of Seville.

Devour Tours prides itself on quality customer service but falls completely short in practice. During the recent blackout across Spain, with the country shutdown, we were unable to arrive in Madrid for our scheduled tour. We made numerous attempts over three days to rebook the tour since payment had been made. We began emailing, as soon as power was restored which was hours before our scheduled tour, but this and follow-up texts and phone calls all went unanswered. Finally, on the our last day we were offered the option of a tour in Toledo (we were in Madrid) or a late evening one that would not work for us. Essentially, they took our money and did not even offer a decent apology. In comparison, the train and lodging services we dealt with treated us with respect and professionalism. WIth Devour, you may have a great experience if everything goes according to plan. The sign of a quality company, however, is in how they treat you when things get difficult and for this Devour failed miserably.

UPDATE. It took almost 9 months, but Devour did apologize.

I booked tickets for Devour’s evening food tour in Florence. One of my guests is unable to eat meat or cheese. The website clearly states that their tour is adaptable for people who are pescatarian or dairy free which is not the case. It turns out they do not substitute dishes on the tour for ones people with dietary requirements can actually eat! Thankfully as I had filled our dietary requirements in before booking I managed to find this out the day before and get a refund, however I find it highly misleading that they claim this tour is adaptable for people who are pescatarian or can eat dairy.
