I honestly don’t think I will ever be able to put into words just how grateful I am to everyone at Devall & Son.

Losing my beautiful three year old little boy, Kit, is something no mother should ever have to experience. Having to arrange your own child’s funeral is beyond heartbreaking. I was completely broken and trying to navigate something I never imagined I would have to face.

From the moment Kit came into their care, the whole team were absolutely incredible. Every single step of the way, they went above and beyond anything I could ever have expected.

Dan, Kerry and Terry were just amazing. They showed me a level of kindness, compassion and understanding that I will never forget. They understood that Kit wasn’t just another funeral. He was my little boy, my whole world, and it was so important to me that everything was just right for him.

There were so many moments when I simply couldn’t hold myself together and I cried on their shoulders more times than I can remember. They never made me feel uncomfortable, never rushed me and never made me feel like I was asking too much. They listened, reassured me, checked in on me and supported me through some of the darkest days of my life.

What makes them even more special is that their care didn’t end when Kit’s funeral was over. Kerry still reaches out to check how I am doing, and that means more to me than she will ever know. To know that someone still thinks of you and cares, even after all the arrangements are finished, says everything about the kind of people they are.

Nothing was ever too much trouble. From organising Kit’s farewell to helping me with his gravestone and jewellery containing his ashes, they have continued to help me with all the little details that mean so much to a mum who just wants to keep her little boy close.

Everything was handled with so much love, care, dignity and attention. I never once had to worry about whether Kit was being looked after properly or whether his farewell would be everything I wanted it to be.

I genuinely don’t think I would have made it through this experience without them. They took so much of the weight off my shoulders at a time when I could barely function. I will never forget how they looked after both Kit and me.

I wish there were more people like this in the world. They are an absolute credit to Devall & Son, and I hope they know how special they are and how much of a difference they make to families going through the worst possible loss.

To Dan, Kerry, Terry and the entire team, thank you. Thank you for looking after my precious boy, for looking after me, for being there when I fell apart and for continuing to care even now.

I will be eternally grateful. I couldn’t have asked for anything more, and I honestly couldn’t recommend them highly enough.

A massive thankyou to Christina and the team for their kindness, respect and sincerity, when dealing with my dad's funeral. From start to finish the whole team we're lovely. Many family members were able to visit dad in the chapel of rest, which helped us all with our loss.

As their children, now adults ranging from 26 and upwards, this has been an incredibly difficult time for us all. Thank you to Danielle and the whole team for the professional and compassionate send off for my mum (12th January) and dad (5th February). As a family we have been through an emotional rollercoaster, however Danielle made sure our loved ones were looked after every step of the way. We felt supported as a family and would not hesitate to recommend. All of your help has made this awful journey easier to navigate.

Having recently visited Devalls new memorial and jewellery showroom, I would like to thank Michelle for the time that she took to talk through my wishes when I had chosen a ring.
It’s beautiful and has brought me comfort in knowing I have my loved one with me. I haven’t taken it off since.

We would like to extend our deepest thanks to Greg, who went above and beyond to give Mario the beautiful send-off he truly deserved.
Mario was a proud and patriotic Italian man, and Greg worked closely with us to create a day that honoured him in every way. From the horses dressed in Italian colours to the playing of the national anthem, nothing was ever too much trouble.

Exceptional service from Dan & his team for the incredible care and professionalism they showed during my Nanna’s funeral. From our very first meeting, it was clear that they were not only highly skilled but also genuinely compassionate, which made such a difference during an incredibly emotional time.

We had a meeting with Jonathan at the Coventry branch to arrange my Mother in Laws pre paid Funeral plan. Jonathan was very welcoming and guided us through the plan providing all the information we asked. Very professional and the branch was superb. We would highly recommend this company.

I highly recommend Devalls to anyone in need of a funeral directors. All team members are of the highest level of customer care. They made me feel as if my partner was the only person in their care. They had so much respect and genuine care for not just him, but myself and our families. We were never rushed or pushed into decisions, they gave us their full time and attention at any time we needed them.

A special mention must be made for Danielle. Danielle was a huge comfort in the most difficult time of my life. Nothing can prepare you for losing a loved one, but to be met with someone like Danielle, her professionalism, empathy and genuine care helped navigate the unimaginable loss, trauma and emotional strain of arranging a funeral. She has been the most incredible support and remains a special person to the family, as she guided us through the journey from the start to the end of the process.

I cannot recommend Devall & Sons enough. They have just sorted out my nieces funeral and they are definitely a cut above the rest. From start to finish nothing was too much hassle they completely took the stress away from sorting out the arrangements which allowed us to process what was happening. From how they looked after our loved one to the little touches like staff waiting for us at the crematorium to greet us and make a list of mourners for the memory box they provided us which included a book of condolences a candle and a framed order of service. I honestly can’t thank you all enough. Need to give a special mention to Johnathan and Christina who I’ve felt supported us as a family immensely. Thank you so much. Really are the best around. You really did our girl justice.
