I cannot say enough good things about our travel agent Jocelyn!!! She helped us plan our wedding in Cabo and made the process so incredibly smooth and easy. I don’t think wedding planning can get any more stress-free than this. Jocelyn was also available by text or call for any questions us or our guests had throughout the whole process. I am so thankful for her!! Highly recommend!

We are officially back and almost recovered from one of the BEST trips we've ever been on! Impressions Moxché was absolutely phenomenal and we are beyond happy that we ended up splurging and staying there. 

We absolutely loved the attention to detail, the decor, the drinks and the service! Everything was great at the Secrets side as well, but especially on the Impressions side. We could really feel the elevated service and detail there. OMG and the FOOD! WOW! We would have never guessed that it was an all inclusive resort with the quality of food all over both resorts. The resort was everything we had imagined and more to say the least. 11/10!

I had an extremely poor experience with Destination Wedding and our assigned travel agent, Alexandra.

Alexandra was largely unresponsive to anyone except the bride, which caused unnecessary stress for the entire wedding party. Emails and messages routinely went unanswered for weeks at a time, leaving guests without critical information about their travel.

She failed to double-check bookings until just days before departure. At that point, she informed me that my last name was missing from my booking — and then ghosted me for four days. Because of this delay, I was forced to pay an additional $600 for a name change that could have easily been avoided with timely communication.

Payment handling was also disorganized. After submitting my payment form, I was not charged for over two weeks with no explanation or confirmation, adding more confusion and concern.

When our flight was cancelled due to weather, Alexandra again became completely unresponsive. As a result, many of us had no choice but to purchase new flights on our own just to make it to the wedding. To make matters worse, she did not verify return flights, and several guests discovered they had no flight home at all. Multiple bookings also contained incorrect passenger names.

Additionally, the wedding party was supposed to travel together, but we were booked on the wrong flights and separated. This led to last-minute scrambling, stress, and logistical chaos right before the wedding — something no couple or wedding party should have to deal with.

Alexandra repeatedly disappeared during critical moments, leaving the bride to manage crises she should never have had to handle. Overall, this was awful service, extremely stressful, and completely unacceptable for a destination wedding company.

I would not recommend Destination Wedding or Alexandra to anyone.

We worked with DestinationWeddings.com and our assigned agent Tanika for our destination wedding. While the hotel research and venue connection were strong and pricing overall was fair, there have been serious booking and billing issues. I actually want to give a 2.5 stars.

Room Booking Issue (twice):
A guest booked a Basic Junior Suite as advertised but was later charged for a higher-priced Tropical View Suite with the basic suite title. We were told the Basic Junior Suite on the adults-only side is unavailable—yet it is still listed as available on the Destination Weddings website. This is misleading. The guest booked in good faith and was later blindsided by a higher charge. These issues have been resolved but should have never happened, much less happen twice.

Promotional Credit & Deposit Issue:
We were advised our group rate deposit would not be applied until all guest rooms were paid, yet it was applied anyway despite not all guests having completed payment. This contradicts what we were told.

Additionally, our signed contract clearly states that the Destination Weddings promotional credit (up to $2,500) is to be applied to the couple’s room invoice at final payment, with any overpayment refunded. At minimum, we qualified for $1,250, but there was no documentation showing the credit was applied before the deposit was used. Instead, the deposit was applied first, effectively eliminating the promotional benefit without notice—not consistent with the contract.

We were also told that credits are issued after the wedding, but hotel-issued perks and the Destination Weddings promotional credit are separate. The latter is explicitly contractual and meant to be applied at final payment.

We are still dealing with this issue with Tanika being dismissive of my understanding of the contract. We have not come to a resolution yet which I hope to soon. But I am not keen on working with Tanika anymore. I’m worried because of these issues, if we even have our rooms booked properly.

With our wedding 2.5 months away, these inconsistencies have caused unnecessary stress. Destination Weddings has strengths, but the lack of transparency around room availability, deposits, and contractual credits makes it difficult to recommend without strong caution.

I would be willing to revise my review if we come to a strong resolution to these issues because it would show me that despite these problems, they are willing to make things work for our benefit. I don’t expect perfection but I do expect good customer service and strong problem solving, instead of short replies and dismissive tones.

Great communication about the resorts. Response time was reasonable and the prices are too. Brittany is amazing to work with and would definitely book with her again!

I was working with Holly in late 2025 with Destination Weddings. After Christmas, I never heard from her again.

Don't recommend — no communication, no responsiveness and very little info provided when I was working with her closely.

My husband and I would like to take a moment to share our experience with Tarin Patrick, our destination wedding coordinator. Tarin planned our trip to the Dominican Republic from January 5–10, 2026, and we truly cannot say enough about his knowledge, professionalism, and expertise—not only with the destination we chose, but also with the other locations we considered along the way.
Tarin went above and beyond in every possible way. He provided exceptional support not only to us as a couple, but also to our guests, ensuring that everyone felt informed, comfortable, and well taken care of throughout the entire process. He was always approachable, readily available to answer our many questions, and incredibly patient in helping us understand details we were unsure about.
What truly stood out was Tarin’s genuine compassion and care for our special day. His dedication and hard work made all the difference, and because of him, Mike and I were able to have the wedding of our dreams. We will forever be grateful for everything he did to make our experience so seamless and unforgettable.

Jose Guillen-Lambert is Hands down the best travel agent for destination weddings. His level of experience, professionalism, and dedication is unmatched. He went above and beyond in ways I didn’t even know I needed, always with patience, kindness, and complete attention to detail. Thanks to him, our destination wedding journey was smooth, stress-free, and truly enjoyable. I am endlessly grateful and would trust him again without question.

Our destination wedding was truly a dream come true, and Maggie Elles played a huge role in making that happen. She was incredible to work with—so responsive, organized, and genuinely caring toward both us and our guests. Maggie joined multiple Zoom calls to ensure every detail was perfectly communicated and even continued assisting with vendors after the wedding, which went above and beyond our expectations.
Having transportation included made the booking process nearly carefree for our guests, which was a huge plus. The only challenge we experienced was that the Destination Weddings website was frequently under maintenance, which caused some booking issues for guests at times. Thankfully, Maggie was always there to help resolve any concerns.
We couldn’t be happier with our experience and have already recommended Destination Weddings and Maggie to our close friends. We are so grateful for her and would choose them again in a heartbeat.

Destination Weddings and our Wedding Specialist, Sue, were great! The process was made as simple as it could have been. Sue was very helpful in guiding us through choosing a resort that fit all of our needs. She was very responsive to myself and all of our guests that attended. I would highly recommend Sue and Destination Weddings if you are looking to plan a destination wedding!

Carrie is amazing she found us the perfect resort and helped book the perfect vacation. HIGHLY recommend!

The arrangement started off well and we were happy to have the ability to subsidize the costs of our guests, which our venue/resort did not offer. However, the tide quickly changed once we signed the contract, and there became lots of pressure on our wedding guests to pay quickly, almost 5 months in advance, and to purchase travel insurance just to extend the payment deadline. They also tried to add in undisclosed costs to our guests room rates for things like transportation, which we never asked for. There were unreasonable timelines to pay deposits, and sneaky tactics like making our guests upgrade to bigger, more expensive rooms simply for having a baby, which should not count toward room capacity imo. Super disappointed with the arrangement.

Terrible communication actually barely any at all, and terrible follow up. Booked a room with them for my sister's wedding only to show up and find out I had no reservation because Nessa who I booked with completely dropped the ball and was probably fired. Stay clear of this company unless you are looking to be stressed out.
Worst part is when I tried to contact them, by calling and texting, they just ignored me. Never have I had this bad of service.

From start to finish we had the best experience with DW.com. Our travel specialist, Karen LaSala, was so kind and patient with us and all 70 of our guests. We never had any room for doubt or confusion as Karen assured us and provided clarity every step of the way. Some of our guests want to work with Karen in the future for their own vacations!! We can't thank Karen enough for her consistency, outstanding professionalism and advocacy on our behalf.

We had an amazing experience with DestinationWeddings.com! The entire process was easy and stress-free from start to finish. Our planner, Eve Magoon, was absolutely incredible — she was knowledgeable, responsive, and made sure every detail was perfect. We couldn’t have asked for a better experience and highly recommend working with Eve and the Destination Weddings team!

The resort was beautiful

When my husband and I decided on a destination wedding, I was overwhelmed at the thought of finding the best resort for us. My cousin referred us to Destination Weddings, and they made the process so easy! Jocelyn Batlas was a dream to work with! After we filled out our online profile, she immediately contacted us and got to work. We had a short timeframe to plan, as we picked a date just a few months out (engaged in April, wedding in December). She helped us quickly narrow down resorts, and then stayed in constant communication with our guests to get everyone booked. We had one guest who was very picky, and Jocelyn handled them with grace and professionalism. And when my elderly uncle missed his flight to the wedding, Jocelyn helped him and his wife get quickly rebooked and notified the resort. She also helped immensely in our communication with the resort as we worked with our planner. Jocelyn was just a phone call or text away throughout the process and was always very responsive to my questions. We definitely recommend Destination Weddings and highly recommend Jocelyn!
