If you're a business owner PLEASE DON'T USE THIS SERVICE, as it hurts your brand in many different ways...

1. Even if the gym doesn't provide their service and you complain about it, you still have to pay the 1 extra month for it.

2. And even if payment is due 1st Nov, I've been charged £15 TODAY 1st Nov for the late payment...

3. They don't answer their emails if it's not convenient, so please don't comment on this review with the request of sending you an email as this would mean that you don't care and don't read those negative reviews...

I also have had a direct debit set up with this company and I don’t have a membership I don’t understand how they have done this has Iv never heard of this before needs reporting they are scamming people when people are struggling as itis

I never even have a membership with any gym or any kind of association with DFC. And today I got a notification saying this company has set up a direct debit.. disgusting

It is nightmare

It is nightmare. Canceled the swimming lesson one month in advance and my account is closed. Guess what,they emailed me and changes direct debit from next month. This is absolutely scam.

Absolute shysters

Cancelled my gym membership within the 14 day cooling off period. Obviously this company take no notice and send letters emails and texts with additional charges for non payment. I rang and explained. They asked for the date and time I rang to cancel so they can listen to the call. Oh no, they can't find any record of it. Despite it being logged on my phone. Absolute scam artists.

Cancelled my gym membership at the…

Cancelled my gym membership at the start of 2020 as confirmed by my gym, just noticed this company has been taking payments since May for a membership that hasn’t existed for almost three years! I will be taking this to my bank for fraud.

Cancelled direct debit for 24/7 gym…

Cancelled direct debit for 24/7 gym within the 10 day prior to direct debit being taken and phoned Debit Finance Collections to confirm I had cancelled the direct debit. Now received threatening email stating I've missed my direct debit payment and adding £15 as late payment.

Follow up review from 7th Sept.

I reviewed this company back on the 7th of September and got the usual reply, "sorry, contact us, ref Trustpilot, we'll sort it".
No they wont, as you can see from folks reviews after mine.
I asked 'Nichola' for a copy of the original paper contract, guess what, they don't have it. Kept saying they only have an electronic message about direct debit. So no contract exists with my signature.
I also sent over a copy of my doctor's letter, telling them that I couldn't use the gym anymore, because of an ongoing medical situation. So far they haven't responded, except the usual automated reply, unlike the speedy, multiple times they contact you, when they say you owe them money.
I will also be reporting this company to the relevant financial institutions.
They are a disgrace, with no interest in your health or wellbeing. Be aware of them.

Fake company with scam

They are total robbers, fake company and need to shut down permant. When I going to rejoin the gym, they took my money out is £30.61. I’m a college student. They want me pay £193 (I think) and £36 but I’m refuse to pay because it’s a scam. DFC if you reading this, you are fake company and you drove people including me mad, you scamming me and the people in UK. Im not recommended this to everyone because this company is fake and scammers/robbers. This company is totally drove me mad 3 times

Robbed…

I had a direct debit running from August 2020 - September 2022, hadn’t been to that gym since September 2020. I know for a fact I cancelled the direct debit on my online banking, because the name of the direct debit was debit finance rather than the gym I didn’t realise. Cost me £385 in total - terrible experience

6/7 different staff totally unorganised and incapable of giving consistent information

I had been going back to back with 6 or 7 different employees about a change of address which I was told my account was closed nothing to pay then others telling me I owed from £45 - £180 due to 3 months not being paid as I was emailing them during that time saying I wasn't attending any gym and had changed address so couldn't go and for late fees, I try log online to pay it but apparently no account on file honestly worst company ever they took of late fees but still have to pay 3 months even though I didn't go to the gym in that time and notified them about me cancelling the direct debit a week before payment was due for the first month yet threatened legal action even though I proved it that I moved house but they didn't accept the proof till 3 months down the line after speaking to 6 or 7 different agents and calling them the gym told me I just need to cancel direct debit and let them know which I did honest don't recommend unless your gonna use the gym for life literally too much hassle there so disorganised and just focused on money and don't care how they speak to the customers.

Random Direct Debit on my account

I have had a Direct Debit payment coming out of my account for the last 11 months without me realising. Payments totalled £111.60. Absolute scam. I have never signed up to a gym in the first place. I will be contacting my bank for a full refund from this scam.

Cancelling a month to month membership costs an extra month?

On a month to month membership at my gym (who I supported through lockdown). Rang up to cancel my membership and was told I had to pay them an additional month for no reason. Canceled my direct debit and now not only do I have to pay for a month I'm not using, they have added a random £15 just for fun. Really, really avoid any gym that uses them.

Company has been taking Direct Debit…

Company has been taking Direct Debit every month. I have no recollection of setting up a payment with this company and I've also never step foot inside a gym or leisure facility. I have contacted my bank. They don't pick up the phone to enquire so had to go straight to bank to take action that way.

Scam

In May 2021, I signed up to a leisure centre. The very next day I cancelled this as I had found another gym I wanted to join, I was still in the 2 week cancellation period. The only response I got was that they’re busy due to covid and responses are slow. I emailed every time they tried to take a payment. They eventually stopped

Fast forward to now, I got an email threatening to send a debt collector to my home if I don’t pay £394. This isn’t acceptable, upon reading further reviews I am not the only person this has happened to.

Does anybody have any advice on what i should do?

Crooks.

Reference: 772701RM0742

Cancelled my gym membership in May (a rolling monthly contract).

Have the proof of emails saved. And the gym manger acknowledged and “processed” the cancellation.

Have been charged for July, August.

I’m no longer in the city and haven’t been in the gym since May.

Sent several emails to the gym since, no reply.

Had to cancel the direct debit myself.

And now this company sent me an email looking for £55.

Absolute disgrace from both the gym and this company.

Will not be getting £55 off me and I want my £80 refunded ASAP.
