So got an Altherma 3 8kw ashp installed with a pre plumbed 180l tank. The install was through cb heating/edf and they have been great. Sadly the Daikin product is sub standard.
On the day it was commissioned it was all working. However 20 minutes after they left my fuse box tripped. I called them back and they spent hours with a plumber and 2 sparkles working out the fault. Turns out the heating circulating pump had just died. I mean it's all brand new but 20 minutes and it's dead. New pump installed and presto all is fine.
Or so I thought.
Next day after pump (Saturday) I get an error of AH-00. Disinfection cycle interrupted. I do a little digging and discover that the immersion is not working at all. I imagine that's broken too and will involve another call out.
I mean it's not even managed a week and 2 fairly important electrical parts have failed. Right now I have 0 confidence in this thing. I mean the positive is that the main unit is working and I have hot water and heating. Negative is no legionella protection which is pretty serious concern when I have 2 small children.
All in all it's been a terrible experience on the part of the equipment supplied. If it was cheap then I would understand to a certain extent but this is not cheap.
I am sure they will respond with a standard reply of "we.are sorry to hear, please email us".
This review is not get a great response from Daikin (doubt that) it is merely to warn people who think Daikin high price means quality as it really does not. Now to guess what breaks next on this and how long it takes to fix this fault...
One star because no stars is not an option.
This morning our wall unit is leaking significantly, over the internal cables onto the floor. I have called the emergency out of hours Daikin number 3 times this morning, with no call backs as promised, to establish all they can do is log the call. They have provided no support or help, and when asked if they could confirm the system was safe they said they could not do that.
Our ASHP itself has broken down many time, in the end we had the main circuit board replaced with a delay of 5 weeks.
We've had 3 years since installation of breakdowns, malfunctions and leaks, lukewarm water and ineffective heating, sometimes with an error code but often not. We've paid installers and service engineers to troubleshoot and suffered long periods without heating or hot water. We are financially out of pocket and have invested many hours of time trying to resolve the position.
The products are sub-standard, prone to faults and unreliable.
The software - can't comment, it has never worked.
Online account management (Stand by Me) - all you get is a summary of your system, a contact us form and 4 FAQs about remote monitoring.
The service - as far removed from good customer service as possible.
It takes Daikin and its service partners weeks to respond and fix things, and there is absolutely no communication in the form of emails or texts as you would expect from automated customer service systems. There is no emergency cover.
Note for customer services who will reply to this suggesting I contact them. Funnily enough I have. How about you contact me instead?

A partire dagli errori di installazione per mancato lavaggio, a continuare con i continui blocchi e richieste di interventi nei momenti più freddi, per non parlare dei costi di gas e luce quadruplicati rispetto alla mia vecchia caldaia a gas che funzionava benissimo. A gennaio di quest'anno c'erano meno 18° da noi e siamo rimasti senza acqua calda e senza riscaldamento per 3 giorni. Infine l'assistenza, con costi talmente esosi che mi sarei già ricomprata una nuova caldaia: non ci hanno mai suggerito una sostituzione della caldaia nei tempi di garanzia.
Tutto pessimo dall'inizio, e non è ancora finita. Diffidate di Daikin

Arranged to register my new heat pump and arrange annual service. All done quite easily and service booked in quickly.
