As with everyone else, avoid selling your phone to webuyanyphone. I didnt even complete the transaction and asked for my phone to be returned, and i still had the £6.95 deducted from my account with no prior notification.

Please be aware that if you sell your mobile to WeBuyAnyPhone, the bank account details you have the money paid into will be given to CyberSentry regardless of whether you have 'opted in' to the free trial of security and anti-virus software that is part of the selling process. CyberSentry will then set up a Direct Debit on your account and start deducting a monthly subscription. The will not refund any payments either. This has been reported to the Police Action Fraud site.

Sold my phone to “webuyanyphone” and a direct debit has been put on my bank account by this company name wothout my knowledge for a service I had no clue about, taking £6.95.

This company charges you for non-existent service without giving you any notifications.
I sold a phone to WeBuyAnyPhone.
WeBuyAnyPhone hid in their Terms and Conditions that they will AUTOMATICALLY sign you up and pass your bank account details to Cybersentry. The subscription for Cybersentry service is free for about 30 days then they automatically charge a monthly direct debit. All these were done WITHOUT YOUR CONSENT and WITHOUT ANY COMMUNICATIONS [no emails, no text, no calls] to inform you. So you only realise the service subscription when you see the 1st payment taken from your bank account.
AVOID AT ALL COST!!!
AGAIN, I RECEIVED NO SERVICES/COMMUNICATIONS FROM CYBERSENTRY [NO EMAILS, NO TEXT, NO PHONE CALLS, NO LETTERS]

Like all the other people I have been scammed!
I sent my phone to webuyanyphone and I actually paid for them to send it back because of the lower offer received once they had got the phone. I then noticed a direct debit for £6.95 from CYBERSENTRY! like everybody else I didn't sign up for this!
If you go on their website it is impossible to cancel it! I have cancelled my direct debit and reported them!

I had an awful experience with WeBuyAnyPhone, a company that should be avoided at all costs. They provided me with a quotation to send in my phone, but buried in the fine print were hidden terms that allowed them to pass my credit card details to another shady company called CyberSentry, who then charged me $6.95 a month for some cyber internet security service that I never wanted or agreed to. Why would I need to send my phone in for a completely unrelated product? This is nothing but a scam, and both companies are clearly working together to deceive customers. Their business practices are misleading, dishonest, and nothing short of fraudulent. Stay far away from WeBuyAnyPhone and CyberSentry.

Noticed that CYBERSENTRY GLOBAL LIMITED was trying to take £6.95 as a direct debit. I caught it before it went through. This has been sneakily set up when I sold my phone to webuyanyphone! Will report to Action Fraud. They must hide something in their T&C's.

An absolute scam! My husband sold his mobile to Webuyanyphone, who then passed ALL his information to Cybersentry.
A Direct debit was set up and £6.95 was taken from our bank account.
We've read Webuyanyphone terms and conditions and if you don't cancel the subscription, you'll be charged the same amount for the first 6 months, after that it is £14.95/month!!!

Had £6.95 taken out of my account for the last two months without my knowledge this was dome when I sold my phone to a sell on-line who use my details to set up a direct debit don't sell your phone to theses companies on-line who give you less then what your phones worth..

Scam company-
I have never signed up to them when selling a phone on webuyanyphone and they have set up a direct debit and have taken £6.95. Will report to my bank and also to actionfraud.co.uk

Like everyone else on here Cybersentry we buy any phone are con merchants I got paid £100 less for my phone and it was perfectly ok. The video they sent me wasn’t even my phone!!!!!!! And then they have opened a direct debit on my account and helped themselves to £6.95 for a product I’ve no clue about

We buy any phone signed me up to this without my knowledge or consent, now I'm trying to get a refund apparently they don't know me or have my details! Charged me £4.95 for the last 3 months. Stay away from we buy any phone, utter scam!!

An unauthorised direct debit was setup to this company by WeBuyAnyPhone.com Avoid both compaines and their dodgy tactics.

Have been taking £4.95 out of my bank account without my knowledge or consent. I have asked for the money back. I have tracked how they got my bank details to WeBuyAnyPhone which seems to be owned by the same people. I am writing to my MP about it and BBC Watchdog and reporting it as a scam

Set up DD without my consent on the back of selling a phone via WeBuyAnyPhone

They set up a direct debit on the back of webuyanyphone had to ring bank to cancel direct debit, disgusting they can get away with this.

Just had a £6 Direct Debit taken that I never set up... Rang bank and cancelled...This company needs further investigation

As others have said here, I sold a phone to WeBuyAnyPhone.com (for £35 less than they said online btw) then I get a notification that Cybersentry Global had set up a direct debit COMPLETELY UNAUTHORISED. I absolutely did not sign up for any sort of free trial and can only assume my bank details were sold to Cybersentry Global. I have cancelled this direct debit because it’s completely illegal and I will be reporting this company as well. Shockingly scammy. REPORT THIS FRAUD
