Be careful with these guys customer service is a real weakness.

I strongly caution against purchasing ski equipment from this company. While they may advertise finding and matching the best prices, their sales practices are misleading, and their customer support is virtually non-existent once the season ends. I purchased a full set of gear through them, including boots, and despite multiple fittings and professional verification at a local ski shop, the boots were completely unwearable on the mountain. Upon arriving at Breckenridge, my feet went numb immediately—even without buckling the boots—making it impossible to ski. Attempts to resolve the issue were futile, and the company was unresponsive. The boots were expensive, yet entirely unusable. This experience highlights serious concerns regarding both product quality and post-sale support. I do not recommend buying boots—or any equipment—from this service.

I love the items that are stocked here including the wonderie play cloths and clixo two different items that can create such fun moments together.

SCAM

I placed an order with Curated and after 10 days I sent them an email for them to provide me with a tracking number! They never replied! So 2 days later I opened up a dispute with PayPal. That same day Curated provided me with a tracking number. Upon tracking the package it showed that is still in China. About 3 days later I received an email from Curated asking me how I liked my items purchased from them.
I simply replied that I never got it. Today I got an email from PayPal that my case was closed in my favor. The total was $167.98

I had a very disappointing experience…

I had a very disappointing experience with this company. Their so-called "experts" strongly recommended a product, claiming it was the perfect fit for my needs. However, when the item arrived, it was completely unrelated to my ski set and way too big to be useful. To make matters worse, the packaging was already opened, and the items seemed carelessly thrown in.

When I reached out for support, hoping for a solution, they were unhelpful and refused to accept a return. It’s absurd that they push customers into buying products with expert recommendations, only to leave them stuck with something unusable. I expected better service and professionalism. I wouldn’t recommend shopping here unless you want to risk getting the wrong product and no way to fix the issue!

I was extremely disappointed with my…

I was extremely disappointed with my experience shopping with The Curated. The company’s customer service is unresponsive, taking an unreasonably long time to reply. The sizing chart is inconsistent, making it difficult to order with confidence.

The biggest issue, however, is their return policy. They charge £25 per item for returns, even when multiple items are sent back in the same box. This feels excessive and unfair. Additionally, the return process itself is slow and inefficient, adding to the frustration. Given the high price point of their products, I expected a much smoother experience.

I would not recommend shopping with The Curated unless you are absolutely certain about sizing and willing to accept the risk of poor customer support. Unfortunately, I won’t be purchasing from them again.

No refunds or exchanges!! Don’t use this company!!

So I bought a ski set for my wife this winter, skis, boots, poles and bindings.. everything seemed pretty good at first even left the “expert” a tip. 12 days go by and I get a message saying the orders for the skis and poles were cancelled because they were unavailable, then they tell me it’s gonna take 10 business days to refund my money, by this time my trip is coming up within the next few days and I need to go to a local store to buy new equipment, I found a new set of skis that come with bindings for a good price so I buy them, I then proceed to try to return the bindings I bought from curated and they tell me I can’t return them because of the “significant discount” on their items, which is total bs since I search for the same item online and it’s selling for $20-$40 cheaper everywhere else, so now I’m stuck with 2 sets of bindings because of their poor inventory management and they won’t offer any solution, horrible service, don’t use them!!!!

Terrible return policy

This company has the most restrictive return policy out there. Make sure to return ASAP if you don’t want to be stuck with a $400 jacket that doesn’t fit you.

Return policy is non existent

Their return policy is the most restrictive policy out there. Do not shop here unless you want to be stuck with something that does not fit and is completely useless to you. They don't care about their customers and don't want repeat business. It's a matter of time until they are out of business.

Can’t give them no stars

Can’t give them no stars. Do not expect new items. Clearly slightly used or returns. Ski were new. It did look like someone had taken sand paper to the top sheet. Besides everything taking at least a week longer than stated, everything was fine.

Buyer beware - products faulty, missing, or damaged

Same as most of the other reviews, unfortunately. I ordered a pair of Smith I/O Mag XL goggles, however, what I received was a barely closed, obviously been rummaged, box with only the backup lens - no goggles, strap, or main lens. After sending pictures to customer service, per their request, they said they’d “check” with their warehouse team for inventory and update me. No genuine promise of anything. It’s been several days now and nothing, no update, no refund, just nothing but another ripped off customer.

Good Experts! (Luke is a good expert)

I had a great experience with ski expert, Luke. He was quick to respond, and he is a very friendly guy. He knows a lot about different kinds of skis and gave me good options. However, I ended up buying the Line Chronic 101 instead of the Chronic 94 or Armada ARV 94 that he recommended because I was looking for skis that can do both park and powder, while the 94 skis are primarily park skis, but he still sent me in the right direction. The only problem I have with Curated is that they only ship to the US, while I live in Canada. Thanks Luke!

I recently went to curated.com to get feedback on a set of golf clubs to purchase. The person they put in touch with me, Kyle Emery, has been sending me unprofessional messages that include threats.

Never buy skis from this company

Never buy skis from this company. They sent me defective skis with a huge bubble in the top sheet and then they make it really difficult to return. After sending in photos, they want me to mail back the skis, however, they are not paying for shipping. Then, they don't guarantee a replacement with the same product. They said "we will replace it with the most similar product in performance and value. If we are currently out of inventory for the most appropriate replacement product, you may need to wait until the next seasons equipment becomes available. " Wow, thanks, I may need to wait until NEXT SEASON to get a replacement for a defective product that was your fault.

Good expert, AWFUL service

I had a great experience on the front end; our expert had what I needed figured out quick.
The back end has been an epic disaster…The ski bindings we ordered arrived a mess. The small binding box was put in a much larger box with zero packaging material and thus smashed around for a week of travel and when my son opened the box the binding pieces were everywhere. The bindings also appeared they had been used before.
I contacted Curated to return the bindings and they wanted pictures of the bindings and the box. Well, my son had already tossed the big box so we didn’t have 100% proof that this had happened. I explained the situation to Curated and stated I simply wanted to return the bindings as their policy allows this without question. Curated simply stopped responding to me. Email after email and no response from them. I’ve tried their chat as well. No one will respond to me.
Never, ever again will I use this company or recommend them to any of my many ski friends and families I coach.

Customer service is awful and they sent the wrong order

Curated expert was an amazing guy to work with. On the other hand the company sent me a woman’s snowboard instead of my skis. The skis then sold out and they’re expecting me to send the snowboard back and only give me 50 dollar credit toward something else. Awful company to deal with when things go wrong. They make your “expert” deal with it and they don’t take much accountability or care at all they messed up your planned trip with your new equipment. Absolute dumpster fire of an experience for me. Just go to a store in person

Great service + top quality gear!

I’ve made multiple purchases from Curated, and every experience has been wonderful. I’ve used Curated specifically for ski gear, and Leland has been incredibly helpful in finding gear that meets my needs while patiently answering my MANY questions! I made my first purchase in April 2024, used the skis many times, and was thoroughly impressed by the speed of shipping, the excellent customer service with price matching, and the skis themselves—they were exactly what I was looking for! I’ll always come back to Curated for my outdoor gear needs.

Shopping for my 21 yr old

I really enjoy the personal touch of someone helping me shop for the golfer in our family. I would have completely bought the wrong clubs. I also enjoy the 25 $ credit they give out every so often. Keep up the good customer service

Knowledgeable people, wide range of price points

I have used this site three times: Ist time: got excellent advice, but determined to use a model (kitchen device,) they didn't carry. Then I used them for 2 more kitchen tools: wood cutting board and oven sheet - I again got great advice, with the added bonus of a Pro and an understanding of my price point. I just used them again, but did find a cheaper price due to Black Friday deals and already knew I wanted the specific item because I'd bought with Curated's help! I mentioned this to Mike, and he more than matched it! Mike is outstanding, a very experienced and professional chef. Great for anything to do with a kitchen or cooking. I highly recommend them, cuts out a lot of time, very personable. I got great customer service. I had a few follow up texts/messages, i.e., asking how the product was working for me, if I needed anything else. Not bothersome or intense at all. Everything very positive in my experiences. I will go to them for all products they curate. They also have a fun feature: a short bio of your expert - I really enjoyed this knowledge and sense of connection to my helper!

Can't beat the price or service!

I can't say enough good things about this company. I intented to purchase a snowboard that would help me improve in specific skill areas, and I also came in with a budget. Curated set me up with an expert who presented a variety of options that met my specs. The expert took time to answer all questions and even screen recorded his explanation of various features when we were narrowing down my favorite boards. I've gotta mention that even though experts do get some commission and you can leave an optional tip, the price of my new board, bindings, and jacket came in cheaper than other retailers and even popular discount board shops. I'm busy at work as a teacher during the week, so this personal shopping experience was exactly what I needed to make a purchase in confidence. Curated will be my go-to from here on out.
