Curam was the perfect solution for us

I decided to use Curam for when I was going on a respite cruise for 2 weeks. I needed a carer to live in for the duration as my wife has dementia and I needed the break.
I picked very wisely in choosing Evie from 35 applications for the job.
She visited prior to staying and performed her duties with diligence and compassion. Keeping my wife safe and well even to arranging a visit to the doctor on the day my wife became unwell and then spending 6 hours at A & E that evening. Happily all was well.
There was a minor problem with the central heating so she went online and found the solution on u-tube.
This was a fantastic service which i will certainly use again and recommend to others.

Dysfunctional website

The website is not good for clients or carers. As a client you get a long list of all the people who have responded to your ad. You cannot prune out the ones you don't want to pursue, meaning you end up with this unwieldy list of people amongst whom are the few you are interested in. Meanwhile the carers don't know where they stand until they conclude that if they haven't heard from a potential client it means they won't be hearing from them. From my point of view it would be much more helpful if applicants could be put into one of three categories, yes/no/maybe, and the carers informed as such.

The carers resent the fact that it takes so long for payments to be transferred to them. It is difficult to find any justification for this. Bank transfers are instant.

Curam believes that clients should have the choice over who cares for them, so having multiple carers apply to your job gives you more choice and control over who you decide to hire. If you would like to filter your applicants, you can do this by archiving a carer, and if you change your mind, you can also unarchive carers.

When a job is closed, all carers who have applied will be informed, therefore carers are not waiting to hear from clients. We hold payments for 48 hours to protect clients, in case a partial refund may be needed. Payments are released 2 days after the shift has taken place, making Curam one of the fastest paying platforms in the social care sector. Very good

I stumbled upon this when I couldn’t find a carer for my husband.
It have found it very easy to use and very efficient.the one thing I do not like is when you’ve paid a week ahead and your loved one goes into hospital you cannot get your money back due to cancellation rules but these are unforeseen circumstances

Excellent service, respectful and experienced …

I can’t be more pleased and happy with the care we received. We needed a last minute carer when my father who was staying with us over the Christmas break. From posting the ad to the last miniute of care Curam was excellent and we felt we are in safe hands. Our carer Tanwir was superb, he understood my dad’s condition, was flexible in timing and punctual in his visits. He was respectful and experienced. I wished we knew about Curam for earlier visits, I recommend their survives and will be asking for support again! Thank you Curam and Tanwir

Really bad services they don’t get back…

Really bad services they don’t get back to me and the ones that do then arrange times but don’t Honor them after we did find a carer for my mum the person cancelled the day before after he had accepted the booking spoke to my mum at her house and was happy so left me in a really stressful situation for my mum who needed help please avoid this company they are not trustworthy

And really expensive as well please look at the reviews on Google as well and don’t make the same mistake as me

Not the case and to everyone reading this they also tried to get the review removed please try and avoid this company full of lies and promises that they can’t fulfil

We appreciate you taking the time to leave this review. We are sorry that you couldn't find the care you were looking for. We believe we have identified your account, and we can see that all carers have replied to your messages.

Unfortunately, due to your requirements the carer that had agreed to assist felt that as he is a carer and you require more of a cleaning role, he would not be suitable for your requirements. The carer in question also messaged you to tell you this.

Curam advertises vetted and experienced carers and support workers, so if you are looking for a cleaning role, we suggest you try Helpling.com or other online cleaning services.

In reference to Curam being expensive, our carers are all self-employed, so they are in control of their own rates, these can be altered at the discretion of each individual carer. Our clients actually pay on average 10% less and our carers earn on average 50% more than the standard agency employee.

I needed help to get my mum out of…

I needed help to get my mum out of hospital over new year as she had a fall and I was away. I posted a job on Curam and the wonderful Ruth applied. Ruth went to the hospital and brought mum home and looked after her for the week. thank you Ruth.

I feel that curam are a trusted…

I feel that curam are a trusted platform for carers. They fully vet them, keep them up to date on training. They are fully insured and the carers I have met from curam are very willing, helpful, punctual, attentive-interested and very empathetic about your well-being. I would definantly recommend curam to others. I actually did refer a carer that did not have an agent recently through another site to curam as a potential match for the future.

My experience is 2years and 6 months…

My experience is 2years and 6 months and within this period being a loving and compasionate person who finds it as a duty to help and assist the vulnerable and the disadvantaged I have done a lot of courses about assisting the aged and people who have mental issues. It gives me special joy doing this job because I honestly believe I am doing it for God. I have been working in a care home for 2years and 6 months.

Zero responses from carers

Signed up as required in order to message potential carers. Spent the time to define needs and sieve through the potential carers on the site.

You'd image carers would reply back to your messages, even if to say they couldn't take on your job, but no, zero responses.

The Curam team were brilliant in every way

Curam were incredibly responsive to my specific request for my elderly mother. I couldn’t have been more impressed by the lengths they went to in order to satisfy our family requirements. I will continue to use them for as long as we are able. Thank you to all the team for taking the pressure off and allowing us to enjoy the time we have left with our mother.

The best in the business.

I can't find right career been looking…

Great experience…

I have been a carer on the curum website now for over 2 years. I honestly cannot fault this platform for finding work and now work for some lovely clients. The girls in the office are always super helpful and easy to talk to if I need any help with something. I would highly recommend for carers or clients.

I would give a zero star if I could.

I would give a zero star if I could.
I’ve been trying to get care on for my father for 5 years now through people on this website.
Everytime I explain the care requirements they come back and say they cannot support the requirements even though the say they can in their profile.
I’m not even sure this site is legit, seems a complete waste of time to me

We have reviewed your Curam account. You signed up on the platform on 20 June 2021 and have messaged 5 carers since you signed up. The 2 carers you messaged this year advised they were unable to assist as they are fully booked. We understand you are looking for care for 2 specific days for a small number of hours, which could be difficult to cover, but not impossible.

The best way to check availability is to post your care needs via the Curam platform, the job will be posted, and carers are able to apply. You can then check applicants on your Curam account. Due to the small number of hours, we would recommend you advertise the job at a higher hourly rate.

Wish I could put 0 Stars. Uploaded everything. I have years of care experience. The lady interviewing called Karen. Was extremely rude to me. Dictating everything I said. Nasty lady. To then be told that I didn’t get the job. Really baffled me. She clearly made her mind up as soon as she came onto the interview. Would love to see her go out caring.

Great resource for finding local carers

I was delighted to find the Curam website and its range of local carers while searching online for local private carers. The website is extremely user-friendly and within an incredibly short space of time I was in contact with some local carers. The profiles give a good idea of the type of experience the carers have, their hours of experience and where they are based. I am delighted to have found the service after many months of trying to find additional carers for my mother. Am very grateful!
