Information on application incorrect on website and directly conflicts from what told in emails and phone calls. Website remains unchanged with incorrect application information. Previously provided details for my last card which said I needed to provide again as it had changed (it hasn't since last card) and also information to the testing company (CITB) as they are separate company - although CITB have my information correct from previous test. Website kept crashing when applying and paying over the course of month trying to sort, making it unknown if i had applied and paid once, many times or not at all. No alternative method provided for application or payment despite faults and issues. More issues as well but don't want to write an essay. Customer service continually kept closing complaint (without checking or even informing me) saying it was resolved when it wasn't. No apologies for problems and issues.

Absolutely pointless app as it does not work properly, it will not allow you to chose the course you have just taken.
You then have to call and spend even more time attempting to apply for your card.
Extremely frustrating.

The it system is a joke giving wrong dates,phone numbers that do not work horrible experience

Passed test yesterday told me I need an app to apply for card which doesn't work pathetic 😡

100 percent scammers... First i pay 36 £ to deliver my card, didnt get it , so i change my address, i payed 36£ again and still didn't get my cards... I called customer service is like reading a script for a Hollywood movie and not listening what i was talking ...i guess they will scam me again for 36 £...

The internal system they use in adjacent with the CITB test centre is an absolute joke , pure shambles to say the least . Nothing works , test id details , registration number , certificate numbers , etc , etc . I can’t seem to understand how can anyone get anything achieved when the online systems don’t work and are just a waste of our time . I feel bad for the old timers ! Whereas they need a bloody tradesman card to get in and work on some sites nowadays , knowingly they can do the job much better than the new generation .

30 years experience had a blue card that expired provided by a previous employer it’s now virtually;ahh impossible as an unemployed person looking for work to obtain one without an employer backed assessment or paying huge fees over months on site which you can no longer get on to with out the scam card. Absolute BS

The biggest con to hit the building trade you have to pay to go to work on a site you question concerns and they get brushed under the carpet it needs scrapping every trade should stop paying the builders will soon change their policy and it isn't law some sites dont need them hse who check the sites don't have them

CSCS scam should be scraped immediately

Having passed the test is now more difficult than getting a passport. I uploaded the certificates and the master log number for the certificate, but CSCS keeps asking different questions rather than presenting the information at once. It is a terrible service that wastes everyone's time compared to previous years. You will show the information card in a week. The wrong person working a system may have changed for the worse.

Complete and utter rip off all these people are for is ripping off the hard working blue collar worker – there is no need for them at all or what they charge we have had to pay out £180.00 because of their rules

These people all they do is want more money of you – they are have created laws upon themselves and do not care – all they ask for is more money.

Hate this system and what my husband and other contractors have to do to jump through their hoop systems – which was most likely never created by anyone who has physically picked up a construction tool in their life or worked on a live construction site. Whoever created this system really should be ashamed of themselves.

Passed my city and guilds in 1987 and they say they need higher skill to renew my blue card or pay 750 for someone to come on site to access you and takes up to 6 months bare in mind I can't get on site without a blue card . Employer's asking for blue card workers only with time served been in game 42 years and can't get a job they driving trades men away that have c&g from 80s like myself what a joke

This service is an absolute shower of poo, why they are endorsed to deal with this type of thing is beyond me. This needs to be handed to a governing body that are actually interested and don’t sound like that falling asleep, having to repeat everything twice when you’re talking to someone.

Do not apply for a cscs card! I have had three cards from them over the years and every time I applied for a new card they make it almost impossible due to them changing their rules or removing their cards and making their criteria extremely had to achieve, over 20 years I’ve been in industry with C&G qualifications and they still demand more when they previously excepted the documents.
I can no longer gain a card from them due to their ever changing process and goal post moves.
Then they charge you £24 admin for the privilege of giving you nothing!
They act like a mafia protection racket, You can only work here if you have our card and you ain’t getting a card now even though you’ve had three in the past!

So yesterday I could gain entry but today I can’t, the only reason is cscs standing at the gates.

Ive never dealt with such a problematic agency in my life. People that have no idea what they are doing or talking about trying to talk to business owners like they're better than them.
Waste of time and money.

They send out your card 1st class No tracking, my card went missing. I asked for proof of shipment and delivery. They cannot provide. I asked in that case send a replacement to a different address, knowing that I'm working away it was better to redirect. they can only do this if I repay £36. I have gone back and fore explaining its not my fault it is lost and that as they cannot prove they sent it why should I have to pay.

No only that I went through the training centre I used to get my card. they changed me a further £29 for the card... but this is nothing to do with CSCS and they wash there hands of any 3rd party companies you have to deal with. Even though you have to deal with them as CSCS dont offer the training directly... it an absolute sham.

Something needs to change, this company cannot be allowed to continue. I work with vulnerable young people that rely on the cards obtained through the CSCS. Their system is obstructive and over complicated in the extreme, I spend days negotiating the failings of this company, it's utterly maddening. How on earth have they been able to gain a straggle hold on this provision, it's something so important that it can't be left to a company as ineffective as this. Why has no one addressed it's failings? How does the industry allow for providers as ineffective as this to exist? Is the CITB not responsible, if so why have they not done anything? I'm suspect this is an unregulated, money making scam. I have never encountered a single person that has a good word to say about this outfit. I begrudge giving them a 1 star.

Super-complicated online system, sending back and forth. Customer service which hangs up mid-sentence.
After 15 years in dealing with licensing and renewing I can say it's getting worse and worse.

I have applied for CSCS card through Construction Certifications (which I did not know I could have done it directly with CSCS website!) When I applied I asked to update my photo with another photo as I was not happy with the photo taken at CITB test centre (I was not informed they would take a photo) Construction Certification asked me to send an email and attaching a new photo which I did, they also sent me a screen shot that they have updated CSCS about new photo, but my card was still issued with the old photo!!! Construction Certification does not want to do anything except sending me screen shots that they have updated CSCS and CSCS tells me to ask Construction Certification to contact them, so both are playing with me, that is why my reviews will remain forever even if the problem is solved as I had too much time waste and stress for a mistake that I have not done it. These two have to deal with this issue and they don't, CSCS shamelessly tells me to pay 36 pounds for a new card! There should be some other organisations giving similar cards I believe, currently looks like monopoly!

In my forty years of working in construction today was the first day ever of not being allowed on site due to not having my "card".
I produced my citb test pass certificate, that I've shown on every site previously, and that should be the only thing needed to prove competence on site.
I was told I would not be allowed on as I don't have the qualifications to get on site even though I showed my out of date blue skilled worker card which I've held since it's inception in 1995.
Maybe it's time everyone boycotted this money grabbing racket and see how it pans out!!!!!
