Phoenix Precision Bipod
The Phoenix Precision Bipod is a worm-gear-driven prone and bench bipod built for F-Class and long-range shooting. Instead of friction-locked legs, it uses a stainless steel worm gear for height adjustment: turn the knob and the rifle rises or lowers in fine, positive increments. The worm drive virtually eliminates "creep-down" under the weight of the rifle, so the elevation you set is the elevation you shoot from. A swivel fixture on the skis compensates for uneven firing points and positions.
Oversized skis let the rest and rifle track straight back under recoil and eliminate the "hop" found in many other bipods. CNC machined from 6061-T6 aluminum with stainless hardware, the bipod weighs 1 lb 15 oz (just under 2 lbs), so it is solid yet easy to transport.
Mounting options
The Phoenix Precision Bipod is available in two configurations - choose the one that matches your rifle:
Weaver/Picatinny mount: a 2-inch section of Weaver-style rail is included. It can be screwed to the rifle stock, or attached to existing Freeland or Anschutz hand-stop rails using the optional Phoenix tee-nuts (see related products).
ARCA mount: clamps directly to an ARCA rail on the rifle.
