Avoid - Dodgy

Avoid this shop at all costs if you are buying sealed Pokémon products.

I paid £190 for a “sealed” booster box. It arrived with a torn outer shrink wrap — immediately compromising what is supposed to be a sealed collectible item.

When I raised this, I was told the tear was “only to the outer wrap,” that it “does not affect the product,” and therefore it was **not considered faulty**.

I then called and was met with a dismissive and frankly unacceptable attitude. I was told:
“it’s supposed to be like that,”
“there’s nothing wrong with it,” and
“you’re supposed to rip & enjoy the cards.”

This completely ignores the fact that sealed products are sold at full market value precisely because they are sealed.

When I exercised my legal right to cancel within 14 days, the story completely changed. The exact same tear that was supposedly “nothing” suddenly became the reason the item had “materially diminished in value,” with suggestions I could receive little to **no refund at all**.

So the reality is:

* When selling → the tear doesn’t matter
* When refunding → the tear makes it worthless

That level of contradiction speaks for itself.

I returned the item and then heard absolutely nothing for **2 weeks**. Only after I escalated the matter and opened a dispute with my bank did they suddenly respond.

At that point, I was told there had been an “internal error” and that my refund had been given to someone else. I was then asked to **cancel my bank dispute** so they could issue the refund and avoid fees on their side.

This was before any refund amount had even been confirmed — despite their earlier position that the item could effectively be worth £0. In other words, I was being asked to give up my only protection with no guarantee of being properly refunded.

I refused.

The bank ultimately ruled in my favour and I received my full £190 back.

This entire experience raises serious concerns. In my view, this business appears willing to sell compromised sealed products at full price, then rely on contradictory reasoning and pressure tactics to avoid issuing proper refunds.

The customer service was poor, the handling of the return was unacceptable, and the overall experience was exhausting.

Save yourself the time, stress, and risk — avoid this shop.

Took over £300 from me and never…

Took over £300 from me and never delivered my order. This company is a complete disgrace avoid them at all costs. Now I’m stuck wasting time dealing with the bank to recover my money because they refuse to issue a refund. An absolute nightmare of an experience.

Edit: Only after posting this Trustpilot review was my case properly investigated. Over £300 taken on 5 November was only refunded on 17 December, after multiple emails, which reflects very poor practice and confusing order handling (names used instead of order numbers).

Our records showed a customer with your last name had been refunded. Unfortunatly that seemed to be your relative who ordered within a few moments of yourself. Yes, human error has occured on this occassion... we have apologised by email and you have now been refunded. For clarity.. you had been told your order had been cancelled within moments of placing it along with the reason. The order numbers where also identical aside from the last digit 😐

Also, your last email on this matter came through a few hours ago, you had not given us a fair chance to resolve the issue in all fairness. Your last email would have prompted a double check, our first check showed a gent with your last name had been refunded and i asked you to confirm you had received an email receipt from stripe, i knew that i had already sent one to confirm that refund. Sadly i did not realise it was the other gent.

Couldn’t ask for better service

Couldn’t ask for better service! Have purchased pokemon items from crazygamer a few times, as we collect as a family. Most recently I hadn't been able to secure the phantasmal flames UPC box or booster box for my sons Christmas present but I was able to secure one from here. The customer service I was recieved was second to none. I really do feel like a valued customer. Highly recommend and thanks again

The system doesn’t advance anyone who doesn’t confirm they’re human.
So the queue didn’t fail. The stock didn’t fail.
You just… didn’t press the goat.
