We traveled with Cotis Safaris in Aug 2025 through Kenya & Tanzania—Nairobi, Maasai Mara, Amboseli, Ngorongoro, Serengeti & Zanzibar. What made this trip special wasn’t just the wildlife, but the way Paul and John brought it to life: from animal behavior to birdwatching, Maasai culture, and local history. Cotis planned everything with care—tailored itinerary, smooth logistics, and welcoming lodges—so we could focus on the experience. A journey that opened our eyes, slowed us down, and truly changed the way we travel.

A very professional discussion that was started in March, 2025 was held on until the experience was had. Davis is very patient and such a good listener. He listens to your need and tailors a solution just to address the need.
From planning the 4 day itinerary, to giving us a very competitive cost favourable to parents, to booking the SGR and hotel to finding the most professional drivers both in Nairobi and Mombasa to getting us just the perfect energy match for your guides in Mombasa bad Malindi, our experience with the students in Mombasa was seamless.
Davis was available on call every time. He was in contact with the hotel and constantly communicated our needs.

Cotis Safaris is exceptionally professional in their handling of clients. On two occasions I have booked and toured Nairobi National Park with Cotis. The guides were punctual, courteous, patient, and knowledgeable, providing commentary on the animals’ habitats, feeding habits, life expectancy et cetera throughout the tour. We spotted all the big 5.

My second visit to the park came as a welcome relief to my professional colleague and I after a hectic work week. Cotis Safaris delivered an exciting safari on both occasions.

First of all, I'd like to thank Davis, who helped us prepare our expedition with care and responsiveness. Despite the somewhat lengthy discussions, we never tired of him. Throughout the trip, he accompanied us from a distance, anticipating our wishes and anticipating our desires. Then there was Paul, the driver and guide on our expedition. His good humour, his willingness to go the extra mile and his sense of humour were matched only by his mastery of the terrain and his ability to spot animals. Paul has an excellent knowledge of ornithology, which was an added bonus to the discovery he offered us. We preferred Tsavo West for its stunning scenery and the vegetation that blooms in the rainy season. If you end up on the coast and have a bit of time on the way from the airport to Mombasa, visit the woodcarvers' workshops at Akamba. Muriel & Pierre

What a fantastic experience! Mike from Cotis was an absolutely brilliant guide, knowledgeable, friendly, helpful and an all-around good guy! On our three-day tour of Tsavo East and West we saw some amazing scenery and lots of fantastic beasts.

Our family had an amazing experience on safari thanks to the wonderful people at Cotis Safaris. The initial booking process for the trip was made very easy by Eddy & her partner Davis ensured we were picked up at our location of choice & on time. All of their efforts made planning the trip extremely simple and allowed us to focus on enjoying our trip. Eddy secured an amazing luxury camp in the Maasai Mara for us & given that this was a special trip for us, she worked with the camp to make sure that the first night there was a special set up in our room.

Our guide Mike was both an excellent driver as well as extremely engaging and just fun to spend time around. He’s also an excellent tour guide. He was happy to answer all of our questions and share his broad knowledge about Kenya, its people, its geography, and its animal population. Mike was always happy to work with us on our schedule and his broad knowledge of the area allowed us to experience some of the local tribes who lived close to the national park we visited.

Overall, Cotis Safaris offers an excellent service at a reasonable price point. We’ll be happy to use them in the future.
