Best anti slip paint around
Struggled to find a good quality anti slip paint. I used this paint straight onto shiny slippery tiles outside no primer, and it's amazing, so far it has survived - 5°.interesting to see how it goes when the summer heat kicks in. I live in southern France and summer temperatures can go as high as 45°. If I'm being picky I would say the colour is medium grey not light grey.

I have in the last two weeks purchased…
I have in the last two weeks purchased a 2 .5 lt and a 5lt tin of yellow Coolvar hazard paint, mainly for painting the edges of outside steps, disability areas,no standing areas, dressing rooms etc for a local football team, whilst I found your product is up to the job, l found that despite stirring the paint pot regularly that the paint thickens into a sort of porridge texture especially at the bottom of pot, on the back of tin it recommends not to thin paint, so therefore you end up with a lot of product at bottom of pot which is unusable. It has been very warm and humid whilst I was painting but I took great care to keep the paint in the shade and worked from a small paint pot. I would be very interested in your opinion on this.

Regarding the issue with the paint thickening, especially towards the bottom of the tin, we understand how frustrating this can be. The thickening you’re experiencing can sometimes occur with anti-slip paint due to the high content of non-slip aggregates, which can settle at the bottom. Stirring regularly, as you did, is essential, but we also recommend ensuring that the paint is stirred thoroughly from the bottom up before and during application to keep the consistency even.
The warm and humid conditions you mentioned could have also contributed to the thickening, as higher temperatures can accelerate the drying process, even in the tin.
We don’t recommend thinning the paint, as doing so can reduce the effectiveness of the anti-slip properties. If you continue to experience issues, please don’t hesitate to contact our technical support team on 01482 328053, who can offer further advice. The perfect solution for a difficult problem!
We had a particularly difficult steel plate that had become corroded and rusty. It needed new, slip resistant paint. Coo-Var was the ideal solution!

Great to apply and good flow rate
I had not come across Coo-Var paint until I was working part time at a local company. I was impressed by the ease of application and how well it 'smoothed' out as it dried. I found it hard to find, so bought direct from Coo-var in the end. Wynstay was only place local and they never have stock, flies off the shelves.

OK for domestic use but doesn't compare to say bradite or bedec even using acid etch and cleaner but I guess it's cheap and you get what you pay for.
