Great prices and amazing service. I had accidently ordered the wrong kind of switch or plug and a really kind member of staff spotted my mistake and called me to advise me of the appropriate choice. poor customer service and faulty product
Unfortunately, I was very disappointed with both the product and the customer service.
The faceplate we received was faulty, but rather than investigating the issue or offering a solution, the only option I was given was to purchase another one. Considering I had spent around £400 with the company, I expected a little more effort to resolve the problem.
I even offered to return the faulty faceplate so it could be inspected to identify the fault, but I was told they would only want it back if it was in a condition to be resold—which completely missed the point.
We had four qualified electricians attempt to install the faceplate, and each one independently confirmed that the product itself was faulty and advised me to contact the supplier. In the end, I had no choice but to purchase the screwed version instead. Given the circumstances, I believe this should have been provided as a goodwill gesture.
I wasn’t asking for a refund on the faulty faceplate, as I’m not someone who complains lightly. My concern was simply the lack of support and willingness to resolve what was clearly a product issue.
To make matters worse, the gentleman I spoke to was quite dismissive and repeatedly suggested the problem was due to incorrect installation, despite me explaining that multiple qualified electricians had all reached the same conclusion. Overall, the experience left me feeling undervalued as a customer, and I hope the company takes steps to improve its customer service.

Our goal is always to make our customers feel valued, and we are truly sorry that we fell short of your expectations on this occasion.
We understand your frustration regarding the grid faceplate and yoke. It is extremely rare for these components to be faulty, as they are specifically designed to work together seamlessly. Because of this, my colleague advised contacting Knightsbridge Technical support as grid systems can occasionally be tricky to configure, and we wanted to rule out any simple installation anomalies first which, as you might be surprised to hear, can sometimes happen even with experienced professionals.
That being said, I fully appreciate that my colleague should have handled the conversation much better and shown greater empathy towards the situation you were facing. We pride ourselves on our customer care, and as you can see from our other feedback, we usually excel at swiftly resolving issues and supporting our customers when things don't go to plan.
We are, of course, more than happy to replace the original grid yoke and plate, though we appreciate this might now be redundant. Alternatively, I can email you a pre-paid returns label so you can send those parts back to us for a refund. If you could confirm, that would be greatly appreciated.

Having thoroughly checked our phone and email records, we cannot find any correspondence or mention of a broken socket. However, we do have a record of a recent phone conversation with you regarding a 3-gang grid faceplate and yoke.
To help clarify what we have on record:
The Technical Advice: Your electrician ("sparky") was having trouble getting the faceplate and yoke to work together. We gently advised contacting Knightsbridge Technical just to ensure there wasn't a simple installation issue.
The Alternative: The conversation led to potentially purchasing a screwed version instead, though we cannot see that an order was subsequently placed for this.
Our Return Policy: You mentioned returning the items, and we explained that we would need to investigate them first. We advised that if no fault was found, we would be unable to offer a credit, as the item would no longer be in a satisfactory, resaleable condition. We apologise if this was misunderstood although listening back to the phone call there was a quality / signal issue on the line.
We always replace or refund faulty items, but we must verify the fault first. The phone call was incredibly pleasant and amicable on both sides, which is why this feedback has come as a bit of a shock so I wonder if it's possible that this review was intended for another online retailer? If so, or if the above clarifies our position, we would be incredibly grateful if you would consider amending your review to reflect this.
