Sales meeting was full of promise and leads. Once we had a sales kickoff it became evident that the sales overpromised and it was on this poor girl to right the wrong. 20-25 leads per month quickly became 0 for first 2 months 3+ the next 4. That would’ve been welcomed. Completely ignored my ICP - reaching out to 1-2 employee companies. In the messaging - they misrepresented what I told them and the answer was to the effect of ‘it’s ok if it gets their attention’ The LinkedIn profile boost of $300 can be done by an infant on Fiverr. I wouldn’t recommend them and unsure where all the 5 stars come from.

The cleverly team is incredible. Specifically our account manager Brandy. Most of the time with saas products like this you would think it is more just an "automated" service. That is NOT the case with Cleverly. They are hands on, completely professional and pay a high level of attention to the details and goals you are trying to accomplish. We have a very specific ICP that requires very highly targeted messaging and sequences and they outperformed even our manual outreach efforts. Really appreciate the support throughout the onboarding and continued effort that went above and beyond expectations.

UPDATE - March 18, 2026:
Following my initial review, CEO Nick Verity reached out directly to resolve the situation. He took accountability for the communication failures, informed me that the account manager responsible for the missed check-ins was let go, and helped settle the dispute. While the initial engagement did not work out, I appreciate leadership stepping in to make the financial side right.

Original Review:
What did I dislike about Cleverly? The "Bait and Switch" approach and broken promises. I paid a $2,500 "Implementation Fee" plus monthly retainers for a "Done-For-You" managed service, expecting expert strategists. Instead, my account manager dismissed my specific, high-value copy targeting C-Suite decision-makers. He pushed generic, high-volume "spray and pray" campaigns. When I demanded better targeting, I was told setting up specific campaigns was too much work for them.

The timeline of broken promises is extensive:

Oct/Nov 2025: Had to chase my account manager for promised weekly reports; received zero usable updates.

Dec 2025: CEO admitted the managed strategy wasn't working, promised a free month (January) on their Do-It-Yourself platform, and promised a "regroup".

Jan 2026: I was ignored for 19 days when requesting onboarding instructions, losing most of my "free" extension. The regroup never happened.

Feb 2026 to Present: Despite failing to onboard me, Cleverly resumed charging my credit card for a system I never launched.

Additionally, they show ongoing security negligence. I flagged a major vulnerability (default passwords), which was dismissed because they "haven't had an incident yet."

I wanted a strategic partner to handle high-stakes B2B outreach. Cleverly did not solve this problem. The result was nearly half a year of wasted time, zero clients, and a masterclass in poor customer service. I paid over $4,000 expecting B2B experts who should have known how to execute my strategy. Instead, they changed the approach midway, ignored me, and billed me for undelivered services. They are a volume shop designed to send spam, not a partner designed to generate revenue.

Everything that was promised, we got. The Cleverly team is a real professional outfit. I was skeptical at first, as the industry is flooded with promises that go unkept. We exceeded Cleverly's first month benchmarks. We are into the second month, refining our ICP, which is critical. We have used a few outfits over the years, and Cleverly has been the only company that has delivered on its word. Try them out.

I found Cleverly after embarking on the journey of lead generation to help my company achieve better results. From the onboarding to the processes, Cleverly’s team made it really easy to manage. I was blown away by the connections and responses
they were able to deliver.

We used Cleverly for 4 months for outreach on the old email side and unfortunately it brought zero new business. The campaigns ran, but there were no meaningful results or qualified leads generated for us.

To be fair, I have not used their flagship LinkedIn service, so I can’t speak to that offering. My experience is limited specifically to the email outreach side.

Based on that experience alone, it didn’t deliver ROI for us.

They are very organized, buttoned up and extremely helpful and responsive. Their expertise is authentic and apparent as compared to other lead gen resources.

Cleverly provides a white glove client experience combined with a surgical approach to Sales Navigator and strategic, pragmatic account managers (Brittany Junkins I’m looking at you) sets it apart from the traditional “agency” model. They are a lead solutions provider

Alanna is terrific as key implementer of all that makes Cleverly's tools work ideally with my company's needs. She's deeply knowledgeable, a very quick study and has guided the process of connecting with individuals on LinkedIn that are good prospects leading to our fund-raising goals.
