Tom has been my accent coach for a few months, and the experience has been incredibly rewarding. While my English pronunciation was already quite solid, I wanted to take it a step further and sound more like a native speaker—specifically with an American accent. I was curious about what truly makes the accent sound the way it does.

Even though Tom is from the UK, he tailored the sessions so well that I often forgot he wasn’t American. His knowledge of the language and of regional accents in the U.S. is impressive, and he explains everything in a clear and engaging way.

What I appreciated most is how he combined insight with practical training. I learned how much accents depend on how you use your tongue and speech muscles, and I now feel a much stronger connection between my mind and the way I speak. It has made a real difference in how natural my accent sounds.

I've had lessons with Tom for almost 2 years. The accent training lessons were nicely tailored based on your own native language background and for your need as well. We practiced a lot on different vowels and did a lot of exercise with recordings. The feedback on the recordings is very valuable and very much detailed. We zoomed into these recordings and analysed the diffs between us and iterated on them. My feeling is that Tom's linguistic background very much helps with this kind of training in a very professional way.

After these lessons, I feel I've learnt a lot about what you can do to make your accent different and definitely more confident and aware of my way of pronouncing.

Unfortunately because of lack of personal time I had to stop the lessons but I really hope I can resume the lessons with Tom and continue exploring accents.
