We moved today from a flat in the city centre out to a house in Nottingham outskirt, and City Removals made a day I had been dreading into a straightforward one.

The booking was easy. I sent photos and a list of what was moving over WhatsApp and Asta came back with a clear quote the same afternoon, no survey needed. She answered everything I asked, including questions about insurance and parking, and where she could not do something she said so plainly and explained why rather than fudging it. That honesty was one of the reasons I chose them over a cheaper quote.

On the day Edig and Dave arrived a minute before the agreed time. They got straight to work, were friendly and easy to have around, and were quick without ever looking rushed or careless. We were moving into an unfurnished house so it was mostly boxes, and a good many of them were much heavier than they looked. Not one word of complaint from either of them, and they carried the lot down into the new place cheerfully.

The price was very competitive for two men and a van and the amount of work involved. I highly recommend them to anyone. They are the first people I will be pointing friends towards when they move, and they will be my first call next time we do. Thank you again to Asta, Edig and Dave.

I would highly recommend City Removals; they recently helped us move on the wettest day of the year. Access to our property is very awkward and everything needed to be carried the length of a football pitch. Drenched to the skin, the team remained cheerful, professional & very efficient throughout the day. They dismantled beds etc & reassembled them at our new home; kept our items dry in their special equipment and put matting in the house to avoid muddy footprints. Could not have done this move without them, excellent service & they were cheaper than anyone else. Thank you so much! If you’re moving house, choose City Removals- you won’t be disappointed!

Fantastic experience using City Removals. Asta was just lovely, she helped book us in and provided detailed information on what to expect, she even allowed us to pencil in our date prior to exchange, which no other company would do for me. The removal team were professional yet lighthearted and enthusiastic, they even cracked a few jokes which were so welcome in such a stressful situation. Any awkward furniture was tackled with ease and the whole house was emptied quickly and carefully. Would definitely recommend!

These guys are absolutely fantastic! They were recommended to us by family members who had recently moved and I'm so glad we went with them too.

The service was excellent from start to finish. They were quick to visit us for an initial quotation, extremely responsive over email to answer all of our questions, and were patient when we were going back and forth to discuss their availability for potential completion dates.

Moving day itself with 3 members of their team helping us was a breeze. We were gobsmacked at how quick and efficient they were at packing up our old house and unloading everything into the new one. They took care in how they loaded the vans, appropriately wrapping items such as the fridge/freezer, sofas, TV and mattress to avoid anything being scuffed or damaged. Where items weren't labelled they checked where things needed to go instead of just dumping items in rooms at random. They even dismantled and rebuilt a tricky treadmill for us to get it from A to B.

Aside from their super strength and speed, they were really friendly guys and it was a pleasure to have them help us move into our new home.

As a rule of thumb, we'd always prefer recommendations over price when it comes to getting a reliable service, but they were even competitive financially so they really do tick all the boxes of an outstanding removals company.
