Our guide Mustafa was excellent very organised and created a very relaxed atmosphere for all our group. Nothing was ever too much trouble.
He tweaked the itinerary to make the days flow better.
The reason I didn’t rate 5* was there could be more communication from circonia - an itinerary indicating the length of travel days and more details than what’s on their website.
The Divan hotel in Istanbul was very nice and service amazing.
The Marriot we stayed in Cappadocia in had very poor service in their restaurant.

We had a fantastic experience on our Splendours of Turkey tour with our exceptionally personable, informative & friendly guide, Mustafa who went out of his way to ensure we were comfortable, safe and had an enjoyable time at every stop. Nothing was ever too much trouble & he always had a smile on his face. His enthusiasm & energy further enhanced this already high quality tour which boasted 5-star hotels & highly quality meals. I highly recommend this tour to other English-speaking guests looking for a fun & informative in depth tour of Turkey.

A rewarding journey through Turkey with Mustafa

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed Ciconia’s Incredible Turkey tour. The itinerary offered a wonderful mix of history, culture and scenery—from Istanbul and Cappadocia to the ancient cities of Ephesus and Troy, and the moving sites of Gallipoli. It’s a fairly full itinerary with some long drives, but we appreciated how much of the country we experienced.

Our guide, Mustafa, made the trip especially enjoyable. He was very knowledgeable, relaxed and accommodating, and helped us understand the history behind the places we visited. His approachable manner made it easy to ask questions and enjoy travelling together.

We’re leaving with lovely memories and a much greater appreciation of Turkey. Thank you, Mustafa!

Türkiye is an incredible country to visit and our tour with Ciconia was superb.
Our wonderful guide, Yilderay, made our travels very enjoyable. His knowledge, sense of humour, and organization brought our diverse group of people together, kept us on time while all the time sharing his country's amazing history and sites with us.

Our 14 day Ciconia trip through Turkey was awesome. Plenty of wonderful highlights including Anzac cove and memorials. Our guide Erdem was very knowledgeable and was able to tailor our travels to suit the groups wishes. Accommodation was mostly fantastic as were the meals. Erdem also shared advice on food choices everywhere we went. I would certainly recommend a holiday with Ciconia. We met some pretty cool people onboard too.

Great guide and good accommodation. We had six in our group and it was ideal. Our guide always found good places for our meals. A few early starts to avoid crowds. Would have liked to spend more than one night in some places.

We have recently finished the Essential Turkey twelve day tour with Ciconia that visited Istambul, Cappadocia, Konya, Antalya, Pamukkale, Ephesus, Izmir, and Cannakale.
This tour was very interesting, comprehensive and well paced.
Both, Baris, our bus driver, and Gürkan, our guide, were excellent. We were also lucky to have a group of only 13 people.
We stayed in four and five star hotels. My two favourite ones were the Marriott in Antalya and Hotel Divan in Istambul.
I would highly recommend this tour.

What a fantastic tour we had in Turkey. Gurkan and Burash were the best. Burash needs a medal for his coach driving skills. Would be happy to restart the tour with the same crew tomorrow.

We did a 16 day Egypt and Jordan tour. The tour was great and both guides were wonderful. Hotel accommodation was a good standard. All our hotels in Jordan were fantastic and we loved our stays at all the locations in particular The Dead Sea and Wadi Rum. I dropped a star as in Egypt the Nile Cruise let the tour down. Rated 5 star we were all disappointed by the quality compared to other boats we saw. Whilst the rooms were clean and comfortable, the dining area was cramped and the buffet made some members of our group unwell (probably due to the volume of other passengers than the staff on the boat). We then realised that in Egypt it goes to 7 star so essentially we were on at best a 3 star boat. We feel this was misrepresented by Ciconia. That said the tours off the boat were great and ultimately that’s what we were there for.

From the moment we landed first in Egypt and then in Jordan we felt looked after. Everything went smoothly. Our guides were experts in their field and made the sight seeing meaningful.

Without doubt, the major factor in our enjoyment of the tour was the quality of our guide Erdem. He was incredibly professional and so adept at imparting boundless information while simultaneously being so engaging and entertaining. He continually went above and beyond in solving any issues that arose and constantly showed amazing patience with our group. The coaches and drivers we had for the tour were excellent and the food and accommodation were generally very good. Overall the tour was exceptional value and we will certainly recommend Ciconia Travel to anyone visiting Türkiye!

Highlights of Egypt &Jordan tour Sept 2026

My husband and I recently completed the 'Classic Greece' tour with Ciconia Travel. We enjoyed the tour immensely and thought that it was very well-curated, covering so many incredible sights and experiences. Our experience was truly enhanced by our Tour Guide, Kostas, with his incredible knowledge of Greece, providing us with detailed information on the history and culture of this beautiful country, not to mention the stories Kostas told us. He entertained us with his wit and comedic talent. Kostas would go out of his way to assist us if we needed anything. He also checked up on us after the tour ended, ensuring we were all okay.

Our tour group was a great size. The tour guides in both Egypt and Jordan were excellent and became part of the group as well as being a fountain of knowledge. The sites visited on the tour were amazing although we felt that we fitted a lot into our time in Egypt which may have benefited from an extra day. The hotels in general were excellent however the Nile cruise ship could not be rated as five star as advertised. We also thought that a four day cruise implied that we cruised for four days and stopped seeing sights along the way - in fact we only really moved on two of the days with staying on board for four nights as indicated in the schedule when you read it properly. This aside we thought the overall tour was fantastic and Ciconia did a great job, especially dealing with our delayed trip due to the situation in the Middle East.

Tour Guide is experienced, also takes care of every detail during the trip, also timing is superb.

We had an absolutely fantastic experience on our Best of the Greek Islands tour! Our tour guide, Kostas, was outstanding and truly went above and beyond to ensure everyone had a wonderful time. His local knowledge, friendly personality and genuine care for the group made the experience even more special. Nothing was ever too much trouble!

The hotels were excellent, particularly our accommodation in Mykonos, and the included dinner experiences were fantastic.Loved the Blue Myth restaurant! We enjoyed beautiful locations, delicious food and so many memorable experiences along the way.

The entire tour was well organised, with a great balance of sightseeing and free time to explore. Kostas was an absolute asset to the company and really made our holiday unforgettable.

We would definitely recommend this tour and would happily travel with Ciconia again!
