Average sofa, service wasn't bad but the quality of the sofa wasn't great.

When I received the couch it did not look at all like in the pictures, the leather quality is clearly poor and very uncomfortable to sit on. I wont even mention the bed part, waffer thin and impossible to sleep on.

On top of this, their service will not accept a return for this, so now I'm stuck with this crappy ugly couch, save yourselves some time and look somewhere else.

Sofas surface broke down less than year old. Joint leather specialist confirmed 'no evidence of contamination or misuse' After months of begging company to replace sofas the company still saying will only repair/replace if we pay. Abysmal customer service and absolutely no guarantee on the sofas. We have had leather sofas that are decades old and never had such poor quality.

This is a bit of an unusual review due to the fact I have given 5 stars but I did encounter quite a large problem with regard to the delivery. So I'll try to keep this as brief as I can. I was looking for a Chesterfield Sofa and came across this company. I was surprised that they seemed more reasonable than everywhere else I looked. Which was good for me as this would be quite a large purchase for myself. So I took the plunge and ordered.

The timescale was given and would be a few weeks due to the factory going on a break. That wasn't a problem for me. Anyway once they were back things moved pretty quickly and I was informed of a delivery date. Unfortunately this is where the problems started. The delivery company delivered the sofa and to my horror the leather was damaged in various places, the feet were damaged. As you can imagine my heart sank!

We did contact Chesterfield Sofa Company and at first I was asking how I would fix these marks. However once we had a good look we realised the damage was not just scuffs but in fact chunks out of the leather! Obviously this is on the delivery company and not Chesterfield Sofa company. After contacting via phone, it was agreed the sofa would be collected to be repaired.

The sofa arrived back to them and to our disbelief, more damage had happened to the back of the sofa on the return trip. Which was definitely not there before sending it back.So the delivery company had now damaged the sofa twice! I'll fast forward to the re-delivery. Both Chesterfield Sofa Company and myself had liaised with the delivery company and the re-delivery was overseen and it was obvious by the two guys that dropped the sofa off. That they were a lot more professional than the first two.

Now that's just an honest account of the experience but I can't fault Chesterfield Sofa Company directly as I know they wouldn't be sending out sofas without being checked as they'd never get repeat custom. So this is all on the delivery company! Now for the actual sofa itself. The sofa once it arrived back was in a brand new condition as Chesterfield Sofa Company had basically replaced every part that was damaged including the feet.

It's clear that their factory workers are extremely skilled, the quality is outstanding and I asked for the firmest seats possible and extra webbing. It might not suit everyone having such a firm seat. But it really gives the feel of strength and support. There's nothing to fault on the sofa and it is a showstopper! Obviously as for aging only time can tell as with any sofa. But the skills of their staff and the quality of materials are outstanding!

To wrap up... I could have knocked a star off for the bit of quibble I had getting the delivery fee refunded. Which I pushed for due to all of this not being any of my fault. Chesterfield Sofa Company did the right thing in the end and did refund this to me. So I can't really knock a star off for this as they did take the sofa back, fully repair it and deliver it again to me. All in all yes I would recommend this company, their furniture quality is outstanding. I wanted to give an honest review, as it shows that their customer service is very good.

We recently received our Chesterfield Corner Sofa order from the Chesterfield Sofa Company and so thought it might be useful to share our experience.

We ordered our sofa online after finding the exact style that we were after and at an unbeatable price. The website is easy enough to use and walks you through the options available to customise your sofa. We would note however that there are other subtle options that can be accommodated if you ask, such as higher feet in order to raise the sitting height slightly, but we only discovered that when we visited the showroom in person.

The morning after placing our order Joanne called us to check over the order and make sure everything was as expected - this was the first but certainly not the last contact we had with Joanne and her attention to detail and customer service is excellent. Even when we visited the showroom, Joanne was extremely attentive and listened to the exact specifications that we were looking for, making the suggestion of taller feet and the ideal cushion firmness. We were also fortunate enough to be invited into the workshop so that we could see one of the chesterfields being made, which was a really nice touch and great to see quality items being made traditionally.

We definitely were not the easiest clients - half way through our lead time we realised that we could have actually accommodated a larger sofa and so enquired about having it changed to a larger size. Despite us having an awkward request and having had the frame made, Joanne was able to amend the order to allow for the larger sized sofa, with only an additional two week delay.

Joanne kept us updated along the way, letting us know when the sofa was being manufactured and with updated delivery dates. We’ve now received our new sofa and are absolutely in love with it - the quality is second to none and the comfort/support that is offered by a Chesterfield sofa is incredible.

I cannot recommend this company enough - if you’re considering ordering a Chesterfield, please do not hesitate to purchase one through the Chesterfield Sofa Company.

I bought a Bolton High Back Chair in selvaggio leather which was delivered in January 2024, so I've waited some 5 months before reviewing it. I've bought leather Chesterfields from different companies before and never been disappointed, but this chair is probably the best. I love the selvaggio leather, though it needs a little more care than other leathers which have more of a surface coating, and the quality and workmanship really are excellent. And to cap it all, the pricing is competitive. This is a company I would definitely order from again.

We purchased a Bolton high back chair from CSC. The service provided was second to none and the 2 man delivery was an excellent service. The chair is really beautiful and the workmanship is impeccable, the leather is lovely and the chair looks so much more expensive than it actually is.
We had an issue with the seat cushion but Joanne couldn’t have been more helpful and resolved the issue quickly and to our satisfaction.
A really good trustworthy company to deal with, selling a lovely range of high quality furniture at very reasonable prices and their aftersales service is excellent.

Bought a dorchester 4 seater and 3 seater sofa along with a recliner chair. Ordered last year in the middle of covid and have taken delivery of our sofas at beginning of 2021. Have had our sofas for approx 6 months now and wanted to leave a review to say how happy we are with quality of sofas. So comfortable and good quality. Was a worry buying such high value purchases online but so happy we did. Recommended.
