Initially helpful with delivery delay. Chaser email ignored and order arrived shortly thereafter without any communication.
Installed net object holders, but non of the screw covers fitted.
Emailed the company and totally blanked.
Customer service at its worst.

I wanted a new RIB…
I wanted a new RIB as a tender for the yacht and while others wanted ridiculous money to transport it to my Cumbrian berth Newans's got it quoted, packed and dispatched the next day. Got the Waveline 360 alu double skin floor and its so much nicer to use than our old rollup and sits nicely on the foredeck while on passage.

The team at Chas Newens are truly excellent! Not only do they offer very competitive prices on high value items such as dinghies and outboards, they also go that extra mile when responding to the little fiddly enquiries that we all sometimes have, for unusual items that can be so difficult to source.
I’ve been buying bits for boats for over 40 years and these guys are one of the best companies that I’ve ever dealt with.
Excellent customer service
A Seaflo water pump system for our boat purchased from Chas Newen stopped working after a few weeks. This was very inconvenient as we were on yacht cruising in an area with few facilities and had no water supply. Contacted Chas Newen expecting some kind of hassle getting problem dealt with, but was completely mistaken. Got an almost immediate response from Jakki, who took in the slightly unusual situation we were in. After a quick "conversation" by messaging, Jakki understood our needs and arranged for a new replacement unit to be sent out immediately without asking for the defective one to be sent back (which would have been difficult to organize) or any similar requirement. At all times I felt I was dealing with a real human being who was genuinely listening and wanting to help, rather than an AI system or whatever. Replacement unit hasn't arrived yet, but thats not surprising since its only 24 hours since contacting Jakki, but I'm assuming it will turn up in the next day or two. In which case I would say that my experience of Chas Newens customer service was first class and that I couldn't have asked for more.

Still waiting for my delvery
I place a order and paid in full on the 3th August 2023. I am still waiting for delivery on the 24th of April 2025. I find this level of service very poor.

Ordered an inflatable dingy from them and Julie really went out her way to ensure I got what I wanted and got it to me super fast. Couldn't fault the service or advice I was given.
Item not recieved
After reading reviews of late delivery.
It seams I have joined the queue.
Ordered strainer on 18th December but still waiting.I was told after enquiring that the item was not coming from overseas, so why does it take so long?
Obviously they do not stock the items.

Appalling service.
Waited months for this order, that was no problem, I'm quite patient. When it did arrive it was damaged, after contacting this company and sending images of the damage and the undamaged packaging, all I've had, after several weeks are strange excuses like "I will push the distributor again for the warranty claim - beyond that there is nothing I can do. They have no interest in dealing with this properly.

Check that they have stock in the UK before you buy
I placed an order on 11/06 which didn't arrive until 04/07. After paying £12 for 48hr delivery, this was not what I was expecting.
I called on several occasions to find out the status of my order. The people on the phone were lovely but I was told after weeks of waiting that my order was coming from overseas. This would've been fine by me if they were upfront about this on placement of my order.
I was however quite desperate for my order which meant the wait was very inconvenient for me.
