I don't usually write reviews but I really felt the world needed to know how great the team at Charwin are. I had the pleasure of working with Rob Ford and Diana Day who expertly secured me a homeowner loan to alleviate some serious financial issues that I was facing.
Having taken bad financial advice from another broker, I had been lumbered with a Secured Loan that hadn't provided me with the financial security that I had needed. My case wasn't straight forward as I had an existing secured loan, had accumulated additional debt from some unfortunate life events, and had some gambling transactions on my account that I was concerned about. Rob Ford, the gentleman that he is, worked diligently to find me the best option for my particular case, and provided all of the advice and guidance that I needed. He kept me informed thorughout the whole process and no question, and there were many, were too much for him.
Diana was extremely understanding and worked tirelessly to help meet the demanding timescales that I had. It took roughly 3 weeks from initial engagement with Rob to full funding.
I couldn't have asked for more from the team and will be working with them again when it is time to renew my mortgage.

We had a very complicated case with many different conditions to be met, yet thanks to Lucy and Dominique’s expertise and guidance helped by a great of patience we are due to complete next week. Remortgage/secure loan
Sophie and James from Charwin have been amazing and I can't recommend them enough! After initially wanting to remortgage it turns out it would cost more than it was worth with the ERC so Sophie advised us that a secure loan could be a better option for us and then when our fixed rate has run out we could consolidate. It took one week from application to getting the money in our account and both Sophie and James kept us up to date every step of the way, everything was explained and they made the whole process so quick and easy! We will definitely be using Sophie and James when our current fixed rate runs out and look forward to working with them again! Thank you

Outstanding customer service
Due to illness, my credit score had plummeted. We had bought our dream house but two days before completing, the mortgage fell through and we were left in the middle of a large chain. We had to find another mortgage and quickly. After approaching a High Street Lender aswell as a mortgage broker, both applications were rejected.
It’s at this point I was fortunate enough to have found Charwins in a google search.
I called them up and was put through to our Broker, Lorne Mitchell.
After running through some questions we got an offer in principal in a matter of days. Less than a week later we had a mortgage offer and can now move into our dream home.
Lorne went above and beyond and was always there to answer any queries and put our minds at ease during an extremely worrying time for us.
He understands the market completely and really is a testament to this company.
I would wholeheartedly recommend anybody who is struggling to get a mortgage to contact Charwins, it was the best decision I have made in a very long time.

Exceptional Service by Charwin's
In December last year, my wife of 50 years got the devastating diagnosis of a stage 4 inoperable brain tumour. The oncologists gave her 'a few months'.
A few weeks ago, she did remember that about ten years previously, we had taken out life policies with LV.
In these policies was a clause that declared 'In the event of a terminal illness, if the client is unlikely to survive for 12 months , the policy will pay the full sum assured'. This was exactly appropriate for my wife.
I called LV to make a claim on my wife's behalf.
I was stunned and mortified to be told, "No payment would be made under THAT clause if the claim was in the policy's last year.( Which it was.)
I protested that that exclusion was not in the policy document that had been sent to us.
A senior person in the LV Claims department reiterated the ' no payment in the last year of this policy,for the terminal illness provision.' This caveat was supposedly set out 'on page 4 of the policy'.
I told LV that my 'page 4' was blank. I had never seen, nor was l ever aware of this exclusion to honouring the policy.
I made my own enquiries. LV had apparently removed that clause some years ago, but after we had bought our insurance.
I decided to find out WHEN it had been removed, and WHY.
WHO had MADE THEM?
To assist in this , l reached out to the broker who had sold the policy a decade earlier.
I phoned Charwin's Private Clients and spoke to Matt Whitham. I explained the situation, and Matt was surprised and was unaware of this exclusion. He was, however, due to meet a representative of LV in the near future. He promised to ask about the removal of the " No payout for terminal illness in the final year of the policy " on my behalf.
This he did, and the LV representative agreed to cooperate to find the answer to my questions.
Matt Witham was so helpful. He had gone above and beyond what could be usually expected in helping my wife and l.
Thanks to Matt and his actions, our case was re-examined by the LV assessors,and LV agreed to pay the claim in full.
I am in no doubt that without Matt Witham at Charwin Private Clients, this outcome would have been very different. We will never forget what he did for us. An entirely new level of customer service. Thank you Matt!

Very Proffessoinal, friendly and helpful
Charwin Private Clients are very proffesional and friendly, they helped me enourmously with regards to a mortgage that I never thought I would ever need or indeed be able to achieve due to bad credit and it turns out a CCJ, Mark was very efficient in speaking with the mortgage company and obtaining all the relevant paperwork before putting in the application after received the D.I.P - Once application was put to the mortgage company, it took only 4 days for the offer to be confirmed. would 100% use them again and would definately recommend them to anyone looking for a mortgage, even if you have bad credit

I can search with any lender but you should do your job and update us which you did not do , also if would tell us that yes we can help you we were ready to cancel our NatWest appointment rather than doing your job you asking about NatWest.
Thank you and our mortgage is done with other provider (we wanted to give you business but due to lack of commutation you lost good customer).

After being told I wasn't able to get a mortgage by several other companies I was disappointed and about to give up.
I give charwin a call and spoke to a member of staff called Jamie. He give me some reassurance and said he would be able to help. I've had money problems in the past and it was also complicated because my grandad had to be on the mortgage.
Jamie has worked hard and helped me get my right to buy mortgage. Something I thought was impossible. I will always be grateful for the help and fantastic service from charwin and Jamie. I couldn't recommend them any more.

Brilliant!!
Lucy and her team were fantastic from start to finish. Due to various reasons I initially struggled to get a High St mortgage but Lucy managed to find us a very reasonable rate with another lender. We put in offers on a number of houses over a 6 month period with Lucy finding us a better deal each time, which eventually led to a High St lender offering us their best rate available! A very easy process with staff being available every time we contacted them. I would highly recommend Charwin.

From the moment I spoke with Lorne, I just knew i had made the right decision with Charwin. Professional, personable and he clearly knew the market, quickly providing 2 very viable offers for me.
