I recently had Laser Cateract Extraction with increased range of focus Toric Lenses to both eyes and the whole experience with Centre for Sight was exemplary. From the front desk all the way through to the surgeon, the team were extremely professional, very courteous and calming. If you are in doubt as to whether or not surgery is the right thing for you, attend the consultation process and you will make up your own mind very quickly.

I had an excellent experience at the Centre for Sight. The clinic was clean, modern, and very well organized, and the entire process was smooth from start to finish. The staff were friendly, professional, and reassuring, and I felt well looked after throughout my visit and procedure. Communication was clear, everything ran efficiently, and I appreciated the attention to detail and overall level of care. I would gladly recommend the Centre for Sight to others seeking ophthalmic care.

I was extremely short-sighted and completely reliant on glasses and contact lenses for almost 20 years, so being able to see so clearly without either is genuinely incredible. I’m only two days post-surgery and my vision is already fantastic.

From my very first appointment, the entire team has been nothing but friendly, caring, knowledgeable and professional. The initial eye assessment with the lovely Raya was incredibly thorough which gave me real confidence that the right treatment was being recommended specifically for my eyes. Dr Daya took the time to go through my results, explain my options and counsel me on the best approach for me personally.

Even though the surgery itself was a daunting day for me, the team did everything they could to put me at ease and made the whole experience feel calm and reassuring.

I’ve also been so impressed with the follow-up care. There was a check-in call on the day of surgery + Day 1, a Day 2 eye examination, and I will be visiting again for my one-month follow-up and a three-month check-in. Knowing that there is such a comprehensive follow-up plan has also been really reassuring to me.

I’m only at Day 2, but I’m already grateful to the whole team for what they’ve done. To go from being extremely short-sighted to being able to see so clearly without glasses or contacts feels genuinely life-changing.

Since my diagnosis, I’ve had an extremely positive experience with Centre for Sight. From the beginning, I have felt confident that every aspect of my care is approached with great knowledge and care. I particularly appreciate the way they carefully consider the different options available and base their advice and recommendations on clear scientific evidence and the latest understanding in the field. This thoughtful approach, combined with the reassurance and genuine care I have received, has given me enormous confidence in the treatment and care I am receiving.

I cannot recommend Mr Shiraz Dyer highly enough. My eye history was extremely complex, and I knew that my case would require a very high level of expertise and experience. Mr Dyer was exceptional throughout.

His knowledge, professionalism, attention to detail and calm, reassuring manner gave me complete confidence in his care. He took the time to understand my complicated history and achieved a result with my eyesight that I honestly never expected would be possible.

My vision has improved so much, and I am absolutely over the moon with the outcome. I genuinely could not be happier with the difference he has made to my eyesight and, ultimately, to my quality of life.

The whole team at Centre for Sight were also professional, kind and helpful throughout my treatment.

I feel extremely fortunate to have been treated by Mr Dyer. He is an outstanding surgeon, and I would have no hesitation whatsoever in recommending him to anyone needing expert eye care.

I had Laser Lens Replacement done on both eyes with FINEvision lenses in 2021 at the Centre for Sight. Where I had previously been experiencing difficulty with both my long vision and with reading, the result was immediate, and spectacular. About two months ago, I started experiencing blurring, particularly in my left eye. This was caused by posterior capsule opacification, a not uncommon experience after kens replacement. I returned to Centre for Sight, where Mr Dhaya performed YAG posterior capsulotomies on both eyes. I was there for about four hours. The procedure was rapid, painless and one hundred percent successful. The staff at Centre for Sight were helpful, professional and courteous throughout. My perfect eyesight has been restored.

Dr Daya was very professional in his approach, very well- informed and compassionate in his approach to care of my eyes both in the short and in the long term. He enjoys excellent reputation in the medical community too, as I am a senior doctor myself; making him very trustworthy and consummate practitioner in ophthalmology across colleagues in other medical specialties.

I was treated with great care and respect. I had both eyes greatly improved and now do not need glasses! The whole process was done carefully and everything was explained. Mr Khan, provided every re assurance and confidence and explained every detail, so there were no surprises.

Heard about Dr Daya from a good friend in Dublin who went to him for laser lens replacement x 2 so I jumped at the opportunity.
My experience from first consultation to today (final check up +6 weeks from op) was just EXTRAORDINARY.
What a professional outfit from Dr Daya to the nurses, the fabulous anesthetic giving the sedation on the day.
Thought each eye took 3 mins!!!!, painless, stress less etc, a very calm environment.
My reading and fixing small stuff was getting tough and now I’ve 20:20 vision, that’s a miracle.

I had cataract surgery on Wednesday by the brilliant surgeon Mr Daya - after explaining the options available to me I opted for trifocals.

I will confess to always being very nervous in a hospital environment which was made worse by the fact it was my eyes being operated on.

However meeting the wonderful team of Atanas, Vince and Stephanie that looked after me so well really helped with the nerves as they are an incredibly caring and professional team.

The surgery itself was actually rather pleasant, which I know is a very strange thing to say but it was pain free and it just felt like I was looking in a kaleidoscope and the speed in which 2 eyes were done was incredible.

The following day going outside was amazing - the vibrant colours and clarity of images was phenomenal and being able to see way off in to the distance was amazing.

The reality is when our eyes deteriorate it’s generally a gradual process and we only seek help when our eyes are really bad. But the improvement post surgery (in my case), was instant. I had gone from what I liken to watching a very old TV to suddenly watching a HD TV.

I returned to see Mr Days less than 24 hours after the operation and I now have better than 20/20 vision. I was able to read the very smallest of script whereas before I finished 5 rows up on one eye and 4 on the other.

I cannot recommend Mr Daya and his fantastic team enough.

Centre for Sight is one of a kind. All staff very friendly ans informative and put you at ease. Mr Sheraz Deya is world renowned for his expertise in eye treatments and I would highly recommend him. My experience was superb and after only 21 hours after treatment long distance vision and reading vision was excellent. Need to wait at least 3 days before driving.

I was referred to Mr. Daya at the Centre for Sight East Grinstead branch to investigate some fluctuating vision problems and dry eye symptoms following SMILE laser surgery (at a different company)

If you have dry eye issues, I would strongly recommend you look elsewhere. Their treatment options are limited to IPL and pushing their own brand of Omega Fish oils. That’s it, no other options. I had previously had IPL treatment without any success but Mr Daya convinced me to do it again with him. (stupid of me in hindsight)
Strangely, despite this being their only treatment offering for dry eye, they didn’t even do any manual expression after each IPL session, which is commonly considered best practice. So, they don’t even do this right…

When this inevitably didn’t work and made zero difference, I was told that things were improving ‘on paper’ and I just had to be patient.

When I asked about other treatment options such as Radio Frequency or more physical options to clear my oil gland blockages, I was basically scoffed at for even suggesting such silliness and told I had unrealistic expectations.
If Mr Daya doesn’t offer it, it’s not even worth discussing (in his opinion).

When I asked why they don’t do manual expressions after IPL he shrugged it off like it was not big deal without giving me a proper answer.
Overall, this made every interaction feel like a battle, with a heavy atmosphere where I wasn’t supposed to ask about any treatments he did not offer because he always knew best and I was a silly boy to even question him.

This arrogant and obnoxious attitude was also directed towards his staff I was horrified to witness. Talking to his own team like they were dirt on the bottom of his shoe. Getting hissy with them when a piece of software wasn’t on his PC or some document wouldn’t print as fast as he wanted.

Honestly, it was totally pathetic behaviour and I feel truly sorry for anyone that has to interact with My Daya on a daily basis. It doesn’t matter how smart you think you are, you are not above anyone else and should treat other people, especially people on your team with a basic level of respect.

He may well be good at actual surgical procedures, however personally I would never use him for this either because I would have zero trust in receiving any form of aftercare or feel comfortable to raise concerns or ask questions without getting his snotty attitude in return.

When you’re spending this much money and trusting your eyesight to an individual, you should expect a basic level of professionalism and respect in return. Sadly, I never once got this from Mr. Daya.

They won’t be getting another penny from me and I will tell my optometrist to think very carefully about referring anyone else to this practice as it could look bad on them.

Other negatives:
- I noticed on most the scanners and equipment they use that they were all over 5 years past due calibration or maintenance. Most the stickers said they were next due to be calibrated in 2018 or 2019, which doesn’t fill you with confidence.
- I suffered very bad stomach issues when taking their own brand of Omega fish oils and when I contacted them for help and advice, I was ignored for over 2 weeks despite chasing them several times. This really doesn’t make you feel looked after or that they care about you in any way.
- It was always very quick from booking in to getting all the scans done, however when it came to actually see Mr. Daya I was always left waiting excessive amounts of time. On my final appointment I was left waiting for 1.5 hours in total which is ridiculous. He seemed to be very poor at managing his workload and time properly. One of many red flags.

In summary, if you want somewhere that treats you with respect, where you can have an open and relaxed conversation about your concerns and treatment options and that has the latest cutting-edge equipment and treatments available – look elsewhere.

UPDATE following my formal complaint: the clinic agreed my IPL treatments were not performed correctly and provided a full refund, which I acknowledge. However, the rest of the response was defensive. My reports of the dismissive attitude, the slow response to my side-effect report, the outdated calibration stickers and the excessive waiting times were all dismissed. The long waits were even described as "intentional". I was told Mr Daya considered radio frequency of no value based on a conversation with the device's inventor six years ago - in a field where diagnosis and treatment options advance every year, that is not what keeping up to date looks like.

I have raised my rating to 2 stars because they admitted the IPL failure and refunded me, but the dismissive handling of everything else means I cannot go higher.

The Laser Sugery on my eyes has has been transformative. I cannot recommend the Centre for Sight more highly. My Daya and all his team have been excellent. Highly professional and very pleasant staff at all levels. The facilities in East Grinstead are superb with excellent parking facilities and easy to access if you live in SE Surrey. Many thanks. I would like to express my thanks to everyone at Centre for Sight, East Grinstead, especially Dr Daya and his outstanding team.

I was nervous about having eye surgery but after my consultation appointment i was put at ease and the moment I met Dr Daya and his team, those fears quickly disappeared.

Dr Daya took the time to explain everything clearly and thoroughly, and his calm reassurance immediately put me at ease. His professionalism, expertise and genuine care gave me complete confidence in the treatment I was about to receive and why lens replacement was the best solution for me

Dr Daya successfully carried out lens replacement on both of my eyes two weeks after my consultation and I can honestly say that I experienced no discomfort at all throughout the procedures. The level of care I received was exceptional and truly first class.

The results after 1 day have been life changing. Before my lens replacements I struggled with my day to day life and work , even while wearing glasses. Now I no longer need glasses, and the difference is unbelievable.

Thank you once again to Dr Daya, and the entire team at Centre for Sight. Your skill, kindness and dedication have made a tremendous difference to my life.

I was recommended to Centre for Sight by my optician as I had been diagnosed with cataracts. The whole experience from the initial consultation, the surgery and the aftercare were excellent and I felt fully supported along the way. I had trifocal lens implants and I now have 20/20 vision and do not need glasses for the first time in 60 years! I would highly recommend the Centre for Sight team.

I had a pre surgery consultation to determine if I was a suitable candidate for Lasik laser eye surgery. The team that served me were all highly skilled and extremely professional. At no point did I feel uncomfortable and all my questions were answered. A BIG thank you to Charlie who did my initial assessment, answered my questions, and put me at ease.
Unfortunately, I am not suitable for Lasik due to my overall eye health. I have been offered a full refund with no issues.
I look forward to my return visit next year to see if my eye health has improved enough for an alternative laser eye surgery.

I have been receiving care at Centre for Sight over many years now, and I have always felt totally confident that the consultants and staff know exactly what they are doing and are looking after me in the best way possible. I have no hesitation in recommending them to anyone who wants the best for their eyes and their vision.

I had laser lens replacement in both eyes and now my vision is excellent. I had awful short and long vision, very dry eyes and hayfever so wasn’t an ideal candidate… Mr Khan is superb and put me at ease through the whole procedure and pre/aftercare. I would highly recommend him to all. Adora the technician and the reception staff were also smashing. Having my eyes done gives me a new lease on life and I can now do many things I couldn’t before - such as take my grandson swimming.
