Worst shipping company ever. Took almost 3 months to receive our move and there were things damaged. No communication, and management is extremely rude and unprofessional.
When it was finnaly delivered they use a 3rd part to bring it to you. So its not even them who brings it to you. Strongly recommend finding another company

Booked a move with this company canceled my order within 3 days refuse to give me my money back. Followed all the protocol to receive my money back and they still refuse to give me my bunny back. They went on the date I got a quote not the day I paid my down. Do not recommend this company. Filed a complaint with my credit card company they got my money back do not recommend

Stay Away from Cheney Bros – Dishonest, Unreliable, and a Total Rip-Off

Cheney Bros was an absolute nightmare to deal with. They quoted me $1,600 for my move, then charged me $3,875 once they showed up on the date of the move and I needed to leave that day — more than double what they promised.

They showed up over 3½ hours late, with no notice or apology, completely ruining my schedule. When they finally arrived, they charged me even more. Total disorganization and zero accountability. I had to call them to find out what was going on that day.

To make things worse, it took 22 days for them to finally deliver my stuff. Communication during that time was nonexistent — calls and messages went unanswered, and no one cared to update me. When they did arrive they attempted to overcharge me again. The dispatcher just had to the supposed total owed. We had to get the manager on the phone and after about a half hour it was determined that they were wrong no apology from them.

Cheney Bros is dishonest, unprofessional, and only out to take your money. They bait you with a low quote, then pile on hidden costs and delay your delivery for weeks. Avoid this company at all costs.

I would not recommend this company at all. They are not what they say. I’m not even sure where to begin. READ EVERYTHING! I made the mistake of thinking that they were forthcoming and told me all the details and I payed severely for making that mistake. I was told that they don’t stop at weigh stations and they would be able to drop off on the date that I requested. That wasn’t the case at all. I wanted the truck to be at its final destination on September 20th, it didn’t show up until October 1st. I was not informed that anything not in a box would be boxed up and I would be charged for it. The pick up guys were late, then after an hour of discussing certain things they finally got loading. It was after 8pm when they finally were done. AGAIN, READ EVERYTHING. They have you initial that if anything is damaged they will only pay 60 cents per pound (and yes, my bad, I should have read it. I was tired, my kids were exhausted and the driver didn’t explain anything). We had to throw away all movers trash and the pick up guys left cigarette butts all over our driveway and yard (our house was for sale at the time also). You would 100% be better off doing it yourself. The gentleman who I first spoke with to set everything up seemed like he genuinely cared, they don’t. We had some items damaged, and upon looking at the claim form, they have 4 months to get back to you about whether they will “fix” the broken items. We also had items go missing entirely, some of them were taken out of a locked container. DON’T BE FOOLED BY THIS COMPANY, THEY WILL GET AS MUCH MONEY OUT OF YOU AS THEY POSSIBLY CAN WITH NO CARE FOR YOUR STUFF.

They separated and fix up the objects carefully. Crew from Cheney Bro Worldwide Moving protected all items with plastic wraps and soft stuff. They have competitive rate. We would highly recommended.

They offered low price and they came 2 weeks late to pick up for interstate move,. After they loaded the truck they told me a new costs. 3 times more than original. They assess cubic feet with no basis.. i have only 3 pieces of small items and they charged 3 times. I regret I did not ask them to off load. But this was not the worst part. i flew from LA. to Miami to accept delivery and they did not show up although was part of the contract a firm delivery date. 15 day later they arrived . I flew and paid for another flight, now the worst part they lost a very expensive dining chair. They broker the dining table and they damaged credenza. during the move they subcontract with some small movers and to get from one state to another they have loan and unload 3 to times in 3 to 4 trucks. one dining set is destroyed. They are ignoring my calls, texts and email. they have done nothing to find the missing pieces and nothing to fix expensive dining table and repair credenza. Do not pay them directly and do not transfer by zelle. if you have to use them o=pay only by credit card so that you can dispute, Their insurance is fake and it is 3 man office. they portray as a large company. They lied and told me their are part of Cheney brothers food distribution . They have zero relationship. worst experience of my life. All the statements which i Have made i can provide proof and these are written facts .
I only gave on star because system does not allow no star. They are horrible , liars , cheaters and mis handlers . i warned you. Now you know it.

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! Just like some of the other reviews said, they tell you one price and say “Thats the final price, you wont pay more….”. They forget to tell you that it costs extra for carrying anything over 75’, make sure your inventory list is accurate, because they charge extra and you wont find out until the end. They didnt follow the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) by giving me a new binding estimate before they loaded all of my stuff. After they have your business, they dont return phone calls or texts. They are def good sales people. Cheney Brothers Moving is a rip off!!! BEWARE!!! Do your research!!! We hired this company to move our family from Florida to Georgia and I must confessed, these guys did just as they promised, they were on time for my pickup and all our belongings were properly wrapped and packed and aou belongings were delivered just as the customer service representative James has promised. We are very happy and would definitely use them again
