Brilliant! Excellent instructor - Chris Read- very competent and knowledgeable. Lots of guidance for all elements of the program, very positive and encouraging throughout. The company (and Chris) were very flexible, friendly and accommodating.. I would wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone looking to gain their HGV !

I honestly couldn’t recommend Craig Baker HGV Driving School enough. From start to finish, Roy was brilliant and helped me through the process, but I have to give a special mention to Mark, who was an outstanding instructor.

Mark has the patience of a saint! He was incredibly knowledgeable, calm and encouraging throughout my training. No matter how many times I got something wrong, he always took the time to explain it properly and helped me improve without ever making me feel under pressure.

You can tell Mark genuinely cares about getting his students to a high standard, and his experience really shows. Thanks to both Roy and Mark for all the help and support — I couldn’t be happier with the experience!

I have previously done my HGV training with a different company and come back to start again with Craig Baker driver training and my experience this time has been amazing, all instructors and trainers have good knowledge and ways of teaching meaning it’s easy to just go for it and pick what you need up straight away. I have really enjoyed the whole process and come away with my class 1 license so can’t say anything but good things. Would recommend anyone using Craig Baker if driving is what you are wanting to do!

Brilliant company. Very accommodating. Really knowledgeable and patient instructors. Particularly mention for Pete Hawthorne (Wigan) and Garry Delaney (Sheffield). What Pete doesn’t know isn’t worth knowing. Garry had a short window to knock off my rough edges. Despite me being opinionated, he stuck with it and smoothed out them out.. resulting in a pass. Many many thanks to the team.

Passed my class 2 in sheffield, the instructors were very helpful and informative and provide great knowledge to help you pass.

I’ve just passed my Class 1 licence at the Hinckley depot, and I couldn’t be happier with the experience I had with Craig Baker HGV Driving School.

Passed my test HGV C on (28/9/26), All the team at Standish made me feel at home and comfortable, my main instructor was Petro who was very patient, i have no complaints about the team at all, I am now going to get my PCV with them as wouldnt go anywhere else now.

He explained everything clearly, was always easy to talk to, and created a really relaxed and comfortable learning environment.
