Very unprofessional

Very unprofessional, rude, and dishonest leasing team. I arranged a car lease through Leaseloco based on a vehicle that was said to be in stock, but after waiting for weeks with no updates or delivery, I had to cancel the order. When I contacted customer service, they were rude and completely unapologetic. Very disappointing experience.

We bought a new KGM Torres EV from…

We bought a new KGM Torres EV from Cawdor in Llanybydder and have found ourselves locked out on more than one occasion. According to their service department the problem is the battery in the key fob. I've replaced the batteries three times and still they tell me the problem is the battery in the key fob. It isn't, it's the 12v battery that is going flat.
To charge it you need to open the car using the key which isn't easy. We asked Cawdor to show us how to get the lock cover off the handle so we could open the car, pop the bonnet and recharge the 12v battery.
For some reason the woman on servicing reception got it into her head that we were trying to charge the battery through the door handle. Not only was this totally unhelpful but also plain ignorant.
Thank god for YouTube.
I am never ever going to buy another vehicle from these people again.

I cannot warn people enough to stay away from this garage. They sold me a van while actively hiding a significant fault, prioritizing a quick sale over safety and honesty.
​Once the sale was finalized and the issues became apparent, the garage offered zero support. The fallout from their dishonesty has been devastating:Financial Impact: Because the van was not fit for purpose, I suffered a major loss of work and income.Mental Toll: Dealing with the consequences of being sold a faulty vehicle under false pretenses caused me months of stress and anxiety. Forced Intervention: I was left with no choice but to escalate the matter through my finance company. After a long investigation, the finance company ruled in my favor, confirming the garage was in the wrong.it is clear this business is happy to mask defects to offload vehicles. They only took responsibility when they were legally forced to do so by the finance provider.Save yourself the stress, the loss of earnings, and the inevitable headache do not trust this garage with your money.

Unprofessional

I was booked in at the Llanelli branch this morning having had them message me to book my MOT. I left my van at arranged time and went away wandering around when I returned 1.5 hrs later the service reception told me they can't do it after buying my van from them I asked why did you accept the booking then he just said sorry. I was angry now after previously having bad service over a warranty issue that took forever to be fixed when we were out of earshot he wouldn't let me speak and just argued with me as if It was ok and wouldn't let me tell him about my past experience and just seemed to be uncaring, I said I would never come here again after 2 bad experiences to which he replied GOOD and walked off

Very disappointed with these guys

Very disappointed with these guys. I went through Leaseloco and wanted to lease a Vauxhall Grandland as they advertised. However right at the end they wanted to charge over £300 for delivery ! Leaseloco proudly advertise there is no delivery charges, so this left a really bad taste and I cancelled the transaction immediately.

I thoroughly enjoyed my time as Service…

I thoroughly enjoyed my time as Service Manager at Cawdor Cars Llanelli and look back on the experience very positively. Cawdor is a well-run, customer-focused business with strong values and a genuine commitment to both its customers and its staff. The dealership places a clear emphasis on quality, professionalism, and continuous improvement, which made it a rewarding environment to work in.

The team at Llanelli were dedicated and supportive, and I was proud to lead a service department that consistently aimed to deliver high standards of customer care. Senior management were approachable and invested in doing things the right way, encouraging collaboration and providing the support needed to overcome challenges and improve processes.

My only criticism would be a minor one. I worked alongside a service adviser who, at times, appeared a little work shy. However, to Cawdor’s credit, the company were keen to support and retain him, making genuine efforts to help him improve and make the role work rather than taking the easy option. This, in my view, speaks positively of Cawdor’s culture and their willingness to invest in people.

Overall, Cawdor Cars Llanelli was a great place to work, offering a professional yet supportive environment. I would happily recommend the company to anyone looking for a dealership that values integrity, teamwork, and long-term development.

Toxic workload and controlling management

As an ex employee my experience with this company was extremely negative. The workload was excessive and clearly unsustainable, with expectations that routinely went far beyond what one person could reasonably handle. Chronic understaffing meant employees were stretched thin with little consideration for capacity or wellbeing.

Management operated in a highly controlling way, with constant oversight and frequent changes in direction. There was little trust, limited autonomy, and no sense of stability. This created a tense, stressful environment where it was difficult to work effectively or feel supported.

Internal support was weak, with key functions stretched too thin to be genuinely helpful. Problems were often left unresolved, leaving employees to manage on their own. Over time, the pressure and lack of support became exhausting and demoralising.

Support functions were inadequate. Combining IT and HR into a single role left employees with minimal access to timely support, adding further pressure to an already demanding environment.

Staff turnover was noticeably high during my time there, which reflected the reality of the working environment. Based on my experience, this is not a healthy or sustainable workplace. I would strongly advise anyone considering working with or for this company to think carefully and ask very direct questions before proceeding.

I was required to pay a £99 fully…

I was required to pay a £99 fully refundable deposit to test drive a car . I took the drive but decided not to buy it. Despite giving the company my credit card details twice and being promised the deposit would be returned to my account within 5 working days it has still not been refunded .
Finally got my money back on 21 October probably because of the intervention by the local branch manager , Richard .

The mechanics failed to find the fault…

The mechanics failed to find the fault let alone fix it so ordered the wrong parts after ten week wait and with full warranty I took it to another garage who found and fixed the part in 48 hours, had to pay but was promised refund from Cawdor which never came, never go to Cawdor again, if only Vauxhall knew the failure of this company.

I recently contacted Cawdor Carmarthen for a used vehicle, Oli was helpful as soon as I made the enquiry. Throughout the entire process Oli was helpful and responsive to my needs. I would recommend using Cawdor Carmarthen and Oli in particular.

Newcastle Emlyn, a positive experience with Keiron

I was met by Keiron who was very helpful without being pushy. He ascertained what requirements were and showed me around the available stock. I initially selected one car and after putting a retainer on it returned the following day. my choice proved impractical so I looked at and test drove two cars. one of which I selected to buy. No problem, Keiron transferred the retainer and proceeded with the purchase. What was agreeable was that Keiron was helpful, informative and did not make me feel pressurised, an asset to the branch

5 hour service.

Went for a service today on my car. There wasn't much to service, said it would be an hour's tops. 5 hours later and was still waiting. They couldn't understand the service requirements. So had to physically show them. They first stated it was severely overdue. Turns out it's wasn't.

Sadly I won't ever use this establishment again. How don't you know about a service requirement on a new car you sell as the flipping dealer? Geez what's wrong with this place ? Don't sell cars if you've no idea what your doing?

Disappointed after years of being a customer

Just before Christmas pulled into Carmarthen branch with a small leak on pipe going to sensor.So-called fitter had a look with man from reception.After just glancing at it said it could cost up to four hundred pounds or I could have a investigation for 100 pounds plus repair.As I am old but not senile I drove to Bristol for my son to look at it parked out side his garage While I had a coffee he checked the car half an hour later came in with the pipe We obtained a new one and he fixed it took about an hour all together cost 48 pounds new pipe. I have dealt with you for over ten years.But no more. aviod at all costs.

Just a quick review really. Sometimes when a company or any services gives you first class attention you must promote your experience dealing with in. Cawdor’s cars service department dealing with mark based in new castle Emlyn was nothing but excellent from our phone calling to picking my car up and return from Cawdor garage after service/ mot even the car had a wash down . Well done all at Cawdor service department

Fantastic experience

One of the best companies I have had the pleasure to deal with.
The salesman in Llanybyther was honest and reliable from start to finish they kept in touch with me explaining every stage they went the extra mile dealing with my individual needs.
I have bought a few cars from Cawdor group and never had any issues I would definitely recommend them great quality cars fantastic staff very welcoming couldn’t ask for anymore.
